Abstract

Depression is a major global contributor to disability, particularly among women, with antenatal depression emerging as a leading source of health problems in this group. Recognizing risk factors is critical for early detection and prevention strategies. This study explores the correlation between antenatal depression and factors such as risky pregnancies, history of child abuse, financial difficulties, marital conflict, and pregnancy status in Surabaya. Method: The case-control study, which took place from May to July 2019 at Jagir and Tanah Kali Kedinding Public Health Centers, included 58 pregnant women. The findings indicate a strong link between antenatal depression and high-risk pregnancies. When additional factors are taken into account, characteristics such as financial difficulties, pregnancy status, marital conflict, and a history of child abuse may lose significance. Caution is urged when interpreting these findings, emphasizing the importance of considering the clinical situation

Abstract

Stunting is a global problem that occurs in children due to chronic malnutrition and chronic infections which cause children to fail to grow. Chronic malnutrition mainly occurs in the first thousand days of a child's life, which is a critical period at the start of stunting which then has long-term impacts that can recur throughout the life cycle. The incidence of stunting is still high, especially in poor and developing countries. Low education and lack of knowledge and understanding about stunting are one of the factors that contribute to the incidence of stunting, especially in adolescent girls, women of childbearing age and pregnant women. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of pregnant women about stunting in Kendal Regency. The research design is descriptive with a cross-sectional approach. The sample used was 56 respondents taken using purposive sampling technique. This research instrument uses a knowledge questionnaire about stunting which has been tested for validity and reliability. Statistical analysis uses descriptive statistics. The research results showed that some respondents with poor knowledge were 31 respondents (55.4%), 19 respondents had moderate knowledge (33.6%) and 6 respondents had good knowledge (10.7). It is hoped that the government, especially health workers, will provide intensive health education so as to increase pregnant women's understanding, especially about stunting, both prevention and management. For future researchers, they can conduct research on the factors that influence stunting and the influence of health education on knowledge about stunting.

Achievement of student learning outcomes often encounter various obstacles to reach their achievements. Obstructions to accomplishment that are regularly confronted by understudies are need of certainty, passiveness to inquire questions, destitute time administration, delaying on tasks/work, diminished inspiration to memorize, the impact of awful companions, follow-up variables, and family/personal issues . Academic intelligence isn’t enough to provide readiness for students when facing academic failure. Therefore, Adversity Quotient (AQ) intelligence is needed to achieve successful learning. This study aims to determine the Adversity Quotient of Nursing Students. This type of research uses quantitative research, with a population of 494 nursing students, a sample of 221 students with stratified random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using the Adversity Response Profile questionnaire. Data analysis using frequency distribution. The results showed that 98% of the Adversity Quotient of Nursing Students were in the moderate AQ category (Camper). Based on the results of the research, it is advisable for the academic supervisor to provide intervention to students in the form of academic guidance or counseling to explore the potential of nursing students and optimize it.

Abstract

Mental health remains an ongoing concern within both global and national contexts, with schizophrenia standing out as a significant manifestation marked by a spectrum of symptoms, including both positive and negative behavioral manifestations, such as violent tendencies. The propensity towards violent behavior signifies a facet of anger expression, often demonstrated through threats, self-inflicted harm, or harm towards others. This study endeavors to evaluate the emotional regulation capabilities of patients affected by this condition. Employing a descriptive research design, the study sample comprises 20 participants selected through purposive sampling methods. Data collection procedures encompassed observational techniques alongside structured interviews. Analysis of the gathered data employed univariate techniques, particularly through frequency distribution analysis. The findings underscore a prevalent tendency among patients to employ techniques such as deep breathing and physical engagement with pillows or mattresses as mechanisms for emotion regulation.

Abstract

The cost of treating DM disease is one of the portraits of chronic diseases that require significant medical expenses The burden of treatment costs for DM patients will be more expensive if complications occur because it has an impact on the need for drugs and therapies that last a lifetime. This study aimed to identify the cost components of inpatient treatment of Type II DM patients with Peripheral Circulation complication according to treatment class at PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul Hospital. Qualitative research design with case study design. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling and the data collected were 50 patients. The main data sources were obtained from Medical Records and Financial Administration data from Medical Records, Pusjamkes, and Finance units The cost components analyzed included consultation fees, action fees, treatment fees, support and accommodation with comparisons between inpatient classes. This study showed that the largest cost treatment component of DM patients was Very Important Person (VIP) patients with an average doctor’s consultation fee per patient (Rp.660.500), accommodation costs (Rp2.006.000), and action costs (Rp.4.415.000). Meanwhile, the largest average supporting costs (Rp.3.300.844) and treatment (Rp527.695) were found in class II patients. This indicates that the tendency of the supporting cost components is very dominant because it is influenced by the specifications of the services needed such as laboratory examination costs, and radiology costs which are influenced by blood transfusion factors, hemoglobin and albumin, and the types of antibiotics needed during treatment. Hospital managers can carry out quality control and especially control the costs of drugs and medical consumables by complying with the provisions of patient treatment and care.
