Abstract

The training on tempeh fermentation from pigeon pea was carried out by a lecturer team from Timor University to the people of Tublopo Village (Sehati Farmer Group). Tublopo Village has one of the natural resources that potentially to be developed, namely Pigeon pea. The lack of knowledge and skills of the local community in processing the abundant pigeon pea is the reason for conducting this activity. Training on pigeon pea processing into tempeh can improve the selling value of the product and produce products with new innovations that have better quality. The used method in this service activity is in the form of counseling and the practice of making pigeon pea tempeh. At the counseling stage, the service team described the employed materials, tools and the steps for tempeh fermentation, then continued with a demonstration of making tempe according to the described stages. The main product from this service is pigeon pea tempeh. In addition to tempe products, members of the Sehati Farmer Group have been equipped with the knowledge and skills to produce tempe independently.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan keterampilan kepada guru-guru SMK Bidang Keahlian Teknik Konstruksi dan Properti (TKP) dalam mengembangkan media video pembelajaran berbasis flip learning yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam pembelajaran daring asinkronous. Metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan klasikan secara tatap muka dengan mempertimbangkan standar protokol kesehatan. Guru diberikan materi tentang cara pembuatan media video pembelajaran berbasis flip learning dengan menggunakan softwere adobe flash cs6. Kemudian diberikan pendampingan untuk melakukan percobaan pembuatan media pembelajaran. Manfaat yang diharapkan dari pengabdian ini adalah: (1) Bagi guru dapat mengembangkan bahan ajar atau media pembelajaran berbasis flip learning yang menarik, interaktif, efektif dan efisien untuk mendukung pembelajaran daring di Program Keahlian Teknik Konstruksi dan Properti di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK); (2) Bagi siswa SMK dapat memanfaatkan bahan ajar atau media pembelajaran berbasis flip learning yang dapat diakses darimana saja dan kapan saja sehingga memudahkan fleksibilitas belajar siswa di era pandemi; (3) Bagi SMK meningkatkan partisipasi dan prestasi belajar siswa di era merdeka belajar.

Abstract

This dedication is motivated by the fact that there are still many athletes in the 16 year old age group in Sumedang Regency who do not understand the rules of volleyball games against the rules of volleyball games. This service aims to socialize the level of understanding of volleyball game rules for athletes in the 16 year old group in Sumedang Regency. The method of implementing community service, based on the stages: (1) preparation stage, (2) implementation stage, (3) evaluation stage, and (4) expected result stage. Providing socialization materials regarding the latest volleyball game rules from the FIVB. The samples taken were all female athletes in the 16 year age group, totaling 112 athletes from 8 clubs that were registered in Sumedang Regency. The results obtained are increasing understanding of volleyball game rules in athletes aged 16 years.

Abstract

Menulis bukanlah kegiatan pembelajaran yang mudah untuk siswa SMA. Mereka dihadapkan pada konvensi dalam menulis tetapi juga pencarian gagasan untuk dikembangkan menjadi tulisan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan menulis paragraph deskriptif realistis ke siswa SMA Muhammadiyah kelas 10. Pelatihan dilakukan secara daring dengan menggunakan platform zoom. Pelatihan menulis ini meliputi tiga tahapan. Tahap pertama adalah perencanaan yang meliputi perencanaan administrasi proses belajar mengajar. Tahapan kedua adalah memberikan pelatihan menulis dengan menggunakan dua strategi pencarian gagasan (generating ideas),yaitu klaster (clustering) dan daftar pertanyaan (a list of questions). Pelatihan dimulai dengan memberikan penjelasan tentang kedua strategi tersebut, memberikan model penulisan, dan memberikan contoh paragraf dalam bentuk deskriptif realistis. Dilanjutkan dengan siswa mempraktikan proses penulisan dalam kelompok. Tahapan ketiga adalah evaluasi kegiatan yang dibagi menjadi evaluasi pekerjaan siswa dan evaluasi kegiatan pelatihan. Hasilnya adalah siswa terbantu dalam menulis karena telah dibekali pengetahuan strategi pencarian gagasan. Berdasarkan hasil angket, siswa mengemukakan bahwa menulis menjadi lebih mudah dan menarik.

Abstract

Teknologi berbasis web sangat populer dan banyak digunakan di berbagai instansi untuk mengelola data dan informasi. Kepraktisannya dalam menggunakan dan mengakses menjadi alasan berbagai pihak untuk menggunakan teknologi berbasis web. Karena hanya dengan bermodalkan komputer, laptop, atau smartphone kita bisa mengaksesnya dengan mudah dan cepat. Sekolah sebagai instansi Pendidikan harus bisa beradaptasi dengan perkembangan teknologi, karena pada zaman sekarang ini media pembelajaran sudah semakin modern dan canggih. Guru di tuntut untuk bisa menggunakan beberapa teknologi yang dapat digunakan untuk proses pembelajaran agar ketika menghadapi kondisi pandemic proses belajar mengajar bisa tetap terlaksana. Oleh karena itu pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini mengambil tema workshop pemanfaatan google site untuk pembelajaran berbasis digital di SMAN 1 Wanayasa. Pada kegiatan ini para guru diberikan materi mengenai bagaimana guru bisa memberika materi dan informasi melalui website pribadinya yang dibuat dengan google site. Harapannya dengan kemampuan membuat website para guru bisa sharing banyak materi dan informasi sehingga informasi tersebut bisa bermanfaat untuk siswanya bahkan siswa dari tempat lain.

Abstract

Agriculture is one of the important sectors of human life, especially in food commodities. Still, problems in this sector continue, climate change is difficult to predict, increases in pests and diseases, and so on. Many farmers today use chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Counseling on the implementation of climate-smart agriculture in the Karya Mukti III farmer group, Dompyong Kulon Village Gebang, Cirebon is the theme of community service activities. The purpose and objective of this activity are to provide understanding to farmers as an alternative option and the potential to be developed from climate-smart agriculture. The method in this activity is an approach to counseling, education, lectures, and discussion methods. This activity resulted in the understanding of farmers in implementing climate-smart as an alternative to reducing farmers' dependence on chemical fertilizers and pesticides, with interactive discussions between farmers.

Abstract

To improve the competence of vocational students, the Ministry of Education and Culture provides free TOEIC test facilities for vocational students through the SMK ENGLISH CHALLENGE program: FACILITATION OF INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATION OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE CAPABILITIES WITH TOEIC FOR SMK STUDENTS. SMKN 1 Kadipaten is one of the schools in Majalengka Regency that utilizes facilities from the Ministry of Education and Culture. To improve students' competence in order to obtain satisfactory TOEIC scores, English teachers at SMKN 1 Kadipaten are committed to implementing various mentoring methods for test-taking students. However, the test faced at least two obstacles, namely, coincided with school holidays and also the implementation of field work experience program so that direct guidance through face-to-face became impossible. This is certainly a problem that requires a good solution. This PKM program aims to assist English teachers at SMKN 1 Kadipaten to find effective ways to increase the TOEIC scores achieved by students. The method of implementing this program is carried out with a Forum Group Discussion approach to English teachers and is applied to students by utilizing social media and the online meeting application, Google Meet. At the end of the program, students are able to prepare themselves optimally both from a technical point of view, motivation and knowledge of the TOEIC test.

Abstract

Stunting or short in toddlers is one malnutrition that occurs for a long time and is caused by various factors. This condition can be prevented by paying attention to the fulfillment of balanced nutrition in the First 1000 Days of Life. Analysis of the situation showed that most mothers have heard of stunting but did not understand balanced nutrition patterns for stunting prevention. This activity was carried out to provide knowledge to mothers about stunting by comparing two methods (online and offline) in the Banten area. The results found that there was no difference in maternal knowledge scores in the two methods, so it can be concluded that both online and offline methods were able to provide knowledge to mothers about stunting. These two methods can be recommended for use in stunting education by paying attention to the advantages and disadvantages of each method. The online method needs to pay attention to the availability of the internet and the ownership of gadgets, while the offline method must maintain the implementation of education to be conducive so that the information conveyed can be received properly. In the future, online methods can be developed into several series so that mothers obtain information gradually so that they are easier to understand without taking up much time.

Abstract

Character education is an effort carried out by the government in realizing the essence of good citizens. Efforts to realize this can be obtained through devotion carried out in training applications for strengthening educational characters. This goal is to provide an understanding for schools to implement programs to improve character education. The implementation of the activity consists of four stages, namely preparation, survey and determination, implementation, evaluation and follow-up. This activity uses demonstration and example methods, namely providing demonstrations of patterns of application of character education in schools through habituation and learning in class as well as exemplifying its types. This training resulted in two types of applications to strengthen the character of education, namely through habituation and learning in the classroom. In addition to giving presentations, participants also gain knowledge about the process of applying it in daily activities in the school environment. Abstract

As many as 80% of participants of Posbindu Delima RW 11, Sawangan Depok had hypertension. However, eight of the Posbindu Delima cadres had no educational background in the health sector, and only two cadres had received education about hypertension. The community service activities (CSA) were carried out for Posbindu Delima cadres to ensure that cadres have sufficient knowledge and skills to prevent and control hypertension in posbindu participants. Cadres were asked to fill out a pre-test questionnaire to measure their understanding of hypertension and show how to measure blood pressure. Then the cadres were trained to measure blood pressure correctly using a checklist. Education was given using WhatsApp in stages over two weeks. After that, the cadres were asked to fill out a post-test questionnaire. The results of these activities show that the level of knowledge and skills of cadres in measuring blood pressure increased significantly. Cadres also implement their knowledge to educate posbindu participants using WhatsApp and Instagram, as well as implement knowledge and blood pressure measurement skills in routine Posbindu activities. It can be concluded that this CSA has succeeded in increasing the competence of cadres in preventing and controlling hypertension.
