Abstract

The Bersemi Jambon Gesikan Climate Village is a popular location for the climate village program in Magelang City. The initiative and nomination status upgrade from the main category to Sustainable. Obstacles faced included limited enrichment of climate change adaptation and mitigation activities, administrative procedures, and strengthening community institutions. Mentoring focused on increasing the capacity of administrators through socialization of the legal basis, administrative procedures, education on public awareness and participation, filling out the national climate change control registry system, preparing a five-year work program, and producing a profile video. Implementation methods included socialization and direct mentoring, so that administrators and community members could plan, implement, monitor, and periodically evaluate the program independently. The success of this activity included an increase in the assessment score for the climate village program category with a score of 91.07, the realization of sustainable adaptation and  mitigation actions, institutional strengthening, the formation of a partnership network, and increased awareness of sustainable residential environments.

Abstract

Banjarwaru Village in Cilacap Regency is facing problems related to the lack of Public Street Lighting (PJU), with several vital road sections being dark at nite. This condition significantly reduces safety levels, increases the risk of crime and accidents, and hinders the mobility and socio-economic activities of the community. Residents, especially women and children, feel unsafe to go outside, which impacts religious, social, and economic activities. Responding to this urgency, this community service program aims to improve the quality of life and well-being of the Banjarwaru Village community through the application of appropriate technology. The proposed solution is the installation of two units of an Arduino-based smart street lighting system powered by solar energy. The implementation method for this service involves field observation and experimentation in the design and construction process of public streetlights, and technology transfer to the community. The results of creating a smart public street light based on Arduino with solar power supply function well. At night, electricity is supplied by batteries. The batteries are charged during the day, when the solar cells receive sunlight. The final activity in this series of community service, and the closing event, was the handover and guidance to the Banjarwaru community, thru the Village Head of Banjarwaru, on how the smart public street lighting system powered by solar energy works and how to maintain it.

Abstract

PT Alita Praya Mitra is a company engaged in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). In the process of managing Bill of Quantity (BoQ) data, the company does not yet have an integrated system, and data processing is still carried out conventionally, which requires a considerable amount of time. This condition causes the processes of recording, processing, and retrieving data to be less efficient and potentially prone to errors. Therefore, one possible solution is the development of an integrated web-based inventory management system. The system was developed using the Agile Scrum methodology, which consists of several stages, including user stories, product backlog, sprint planning, sprint backlog, and daily scrum. This method was chosen because it supports gradual and flexible system development based on user needs. Based on the testing results, the system has been successfully implemented and named the PO Management Tools. The implementation results show that the system can accelerate the BoQ data processing process and improve work efficiency. In addition, Agile Scrum has proven to support system development effectively even with a small development team.

Abstract

Improving digital marketing is an urgent need for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) fostered by Bengkalis State Polytechnic. These MSMEs often face challenges in expanding their market reach and adopting modern technology for business. This community service focused on the design of a marketplace application that will be integrated with the Teaching Factory Digital Center. The methods used included analyzing the specific needs of the target MSMEs, designing the system architecture, implementing, and testing the application system together with the community service partners. The results of the activity showed that the bidibeng.com marketplace application can function well and is accepted by the target partners. A total of 25 MSMEs successfully onboarded into the system and more than 120 MSME products were successfully uploaded. This application aims to be a centralized platform that facilitates online product promotions and transactions, thereby directly improving digital marketing and the competitiveness of MSMEs. Furthermore, the implementation of this application demonstrates an improvement in the understanding and readiness of SMEs to utilize digital technology for marketing activities. In the future, the marketplace application integrated with the Teaching Factory Digital Center is expected to be further developed with more adaptive features to support the sustainability of SMEs’ digital transformation.

Abstract

The Kreasi Tani Group in Bunton Village, Cilacap Regency, faces two main challenges in developing oyster mushroom cultivation and pioneering shallot cultivation. First, the significant water requirement for mushroom spraying and shallot seedling watering causes quite burdensome electricity costs for water pump operations. Second, the farmer group does not yet have an adequate financial bookkeeping system, making it difficult for them to accurately monitor financial conditions and make strategic considerations for future business development. This community service activity aims to implement two technological solutions. The first solution is to design and install a Solar power plants system to operate the water pump. Solar power plants system uses 2 200 Wp photovoltaic units, 1 1500 VA inverter unit, and 2 60 AH batteries. The second solution is to develop and train the use of an Android-based mobile bookkeeping application (created with MIT App Inventor) designed to record production results, prices, and summarize sales results of oyster mushrooms and shallots periodically (weekly or monthly). The implementation of Solar Power Plant system can significantly reduce production costs through electricity savings. Meanwhile, mobile bookkeeping applications make it easier for managers to create financial reports, provide accurate data sources, and support strategic decision-making for future business development.

Abstract

Livestock management has a strategic role in Indonesia, especially in goat farming, which is widely developed by local communities. However, the livestock feed currently used is still not processed effectively because it mainly consists of fresh green grass and is highly dependent on seasonal conditions. This situation can affect animal growth and the quality of goat production. Therefore, innovation in feed processing and improvement of product quality management are urgently needed. The purpose of this community service program is to implement fermented feed innovation and provide training on livestock health management for farmer groups. The implementation method includes counseling, training, demonstration of fermented feed production, training on sanitation and animal health management, and monitoring for six weeks. The program results show an increase in livestock weight by 19.1%, a reduction in feed costs by 24.1%, an improvement in feed conversion efficiency (FCR) by 21%, and an increase in farmers’ income by 29.2%. This program has proven to be effective in improving livestock productivity and supporting the sustainable welfare of farmers.

Abstract

This Community Partnership Program (PKM) addresses the main challenges faced by weavers in the Subi Group in Limboro Village, Donggala Regency. The main problems identified are limited production capacity due to outdated equipment, a lack of standardized knowledge in natural dyeing techniques, and limited capital. The solutions implemented include modernizing the looms, providing comprehensive training in the extraction and application of natural dyes based on leaves (such as jembolan, guava, mango, and teak) with precise digital measurements, and introducing electric yarn winding machines, as well as providing capital assistance for raw materials. As a result, production efficiency has increased significantly, with weaving time reduced from 30 to 40 days to just 20 days per piece of fabric. The use of natural fixatives (alum, lime, and tunjung) ensures more stable, high-quality, and environmentally friendly colors. This program has successfully improved the technical capacity of artisans and preserved local culture. Cultural heritage, empowered the community economy, and created a foundation for the development of products with Geographical Indication potential.
