Abstract

This study addresses the issue of higher education graduates in Indonesia favoring employment over entrepreneurship by examining the factors influencing entrepreneurial intentions among students at private universities in the Jabodetabek area, with a focus on the moderating role of parental involvement in the relationship between entrepreneurship education, academic support, and entrepreneurial intentions. Data were collected from 143 respondents through online questionnaires using a Likert scale, with a non-probability purposive sampling technique. The data analysis, conducted using SmartPLS 4 and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), revealed that entrepreneurship education and academic support have significant direct effects on entrepreneurial intentions. Specifically, the T-statistic for entrepreneurship education was 4.831, exceeding the critical threshold of 1.65, with a P-value of 0.000, indicating a strong and significant positive influence on entrepreneurial intention. Similarly, academic support yielded a T-statistic of 3.253 and a P-value of 0.001, confirming a significant positive impact on entrepreneurial intention. However, parental involvement did not significantly moderate these relationships, as evidenced by a T-statistic of 1.399 (P-value of 0.162) for the moderation of entrepreneurship education and a T-statistic of 1.504 (P-value of 0.109) for the moderation of academic support, both of which fall below the required threshold of 1.65. These results suggest that while entrepreneurship education and academic support are critical in fostering entrepreneurial intentions, parental involvement does not significantly enhance their effects in this context. To promote entrepreneurial intentions among Indonesian students, it is recommended that educational institutions and government bodies implement curriculum improvements and provide additional support, while also encouraging parents to offer meaningful guidance and resources to support their children's entrepreneurial aspirations.

Abstract

This study seeks to evaluate the impact of regional financial independence ratios, PAD effectiveness ratios, and regional financial efficiency ratios on economic growth in Aceh Province. The research focuses on financial performance data, including PAD, regional expenditures, and the APBD, along with economic growth metrics. The location of the study is Aceh Province, utilizing secondary data from 1993-2022 obtained from BPS Aceh Province. The findings indicate that the regional financial independence ratio does not significantly affect economic growth in Aceh Province, due to inefficiencies in the use of regional financial resources, such as fund mismanagement or unproductive investments. Similarly, the PAD effectiveness ratio shows no impact on economic growth, attributed to the lack of income source diversification, with many regions relying predominantly on specific sectors like property taxes or hotel and restaurant taxes. Conversely, the regional financial efficiency ratio positively influences economic growth, as efficient fund utilization enhances infrastructure and education availability, directly boosting labor productivity and regional competitiveness.

Abstract

Transportation problems are usually related to the distribution of goods and services from various production centers to several sales locations or consumers. and the distribution of coconuts is very important for its transportation from 3 existing warehouses to the specified market destination with an initial transportation cost of Rp. 250,000, using and the initial solution for the transportation cost of coconut distribution using the NorthWestCorner (NWC) model is Rp. 82,000. Having a lower difference of Rp. 168,000 with the previous coconut distribution transportation cost, the Least Cost (LC) Method model is Rp. 83,000. Having a lower difference of Rp. 187,000 with the coconut distribution transportation cost, the Vogel Approximation Method (VAM) model is Rp. 86,000. Having a lower difference of Rp. 164,000 with the coconut distribution transportation cost, the Vogel Approximation (VAM) method is Rp. 86,000. Having a lower difference of Rp.164,000 with the cost of coconut distribution transportation, so from all calculations to find out transportation costs, it can optimize transportation costs and also get different results for each method used from the calculations that have been described above. This concludes that there are several methods that can be used to be a means of transportation. Coconut entrepreneurs must think about being able to optimize costs, operational efficiency, flexibility of adjustment, from each price tested in this study.

Abstract

Earthquake prediction is crucial for risk mitigation, particularly in taking appropriate preventive measures in the face of disasters. The magnitude of an earthquake is influenced by various factors, including location, depth, and the history of seismic activity in a region. This study aims to develop an accurate earthquake magnitude prediction model by integrating clustering and ensemble learning techniques. Earthquake catalog data from BMKG Indonesia is processed and clustered using the DBSCAN algorithm based on geographical location. The prediction model is constructed using Random Forest and XGBoost, then integrated through stacking ensemble learning techniques. Evaluation results indicate that the stacking model delivers the best performance, with the lowest Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 0.108 and the highest R-squared (R²) of 0.892, compared to individual models. This accuracy improvement is attributed to stacking’s ability to combine the predictive strengths of Random Forest and XGBoost. The study demonstrates that integrating clustering and ensemble learning can enhance earthquake magnitude prediction models. However, further research is needed to explore more comprehensive data and features and to test model generalization in other regions.

Abstract

The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a pivotal role in driving Indonesia's economy due to their ability to adapt to rapid market changes, an advantage that large corporations lack. Supporting MSMEs is vital to ensure their sustainable growth, while opening up more business and employment opportunities. This research adopted a qualitative approach and was conducted in Pari City, focusing on MSMEs as the research subjects. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using reduction, presentation, and conclusion techniques. Despite this, Kota Pari's Gula Merah MSMEs still face obstacles in financial management, especially related to the unavailability of financial reports in accordance with standards. Financial management is also still inadequate, with the lack of accounting recording practices, indicating a lack of understanding of the importance of systematization in financial recording and reporting. Although efforts have been made to monitor trade receivables, there is no record of cash disbursements, potentially resulting in a lack of control over business cash flow. Based on the existing financial statements, it can be concluded that the financial statements of Pari City MSMEs do not fully comply with the Micro and Small Financial Accounting Standards (SAK EMKM), still relying on the cash basis. Further efforts are needed to improve the financial management of MSMEs to ensure better business sustainability and growth.

Abstract

This research examines the role of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) and Green Leadership (GL) in shaping Green Organizational Culture (GOC) in the Micro and Small Industry (IMK) sector in Surabaya City. Through a quantitative approach with descriptive and explanatory designs, this study reveals that GHRM and GL have a significant influence on the formation of a sustainability-oriented organisational culture. GHRM practices, such as sustainability value-based recruitment and training, and environment-based performance evaluation, support the internalisation of sustainability values among employees. GL contributes through sustainability vision, employee empowerment in environmental initiatives, and encouragement of sustainability innovation. Regression analysis shows that GL and GHRM simultaneously have a statistically significant relationship. These findings reinforce the view that GHRM and GL are strategic pillars in building a green organisational culture, particularly in the IMK sector which faces environmental challenges such as waste and pollution. With effective implementation, GHRM and GL can improve the competitiveness, operational efficiency, and environmental reputation of the IMK sector. This research offers practical insights for businesses to integrate sustainability in their operational strategies.
