Abstract

This study is part of Gorontalo Regency's corn crop food security initiatives using agricultural technology. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a 50 EC neem spray on insect population, attack intensity, cob weight without cob, cob length, and cob diameter of corn planted using the 2:1 legowo planting technique. This study was place in the cornfields of Dumati Village, Telaga Biru District, Gorontalo Regency, and lasted 5 months, from March to July 2021. This is a quantitative study that used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with different doses of neem seed oil 50 EC: control (no treatment), neem seed oil 10 ml/1liter water, neem seed oil 15 ml/1liter water, and neem seed oil 20 ml/1liter water. The results revealed that applying 50 EC neem seed oil had a substantial influence on Spodoptera frugiperda pest population at 28 DAP, 35 DAP, and 42 DAP, as well as the severity of Spodoptera frugiperda pest attack at 35 DAP and 42 DAP. The length of the corn cob is the same. However, it had no effect on the weight of the cob without the husks or the diameter of the corn cob. However, in terms of yield of cob weight without husks and corn cob diameter, neem seed oil treatment with a dosage of 20 ml/1liter of water was the best treatment.

Abstract

Modernization, rationalization, and commercialization of the agricultural and rural sectors are impossible to resist when communities open up owing to the impact of contemporary culture. Unlike in Java, where the majority agricultural modernisation occurred in the rice field sector, modernization occurred in both the rice field and the plantation sectors in the communities surveyed. The purpose of this research is to identify farmers' response to the dynamics of changes in agricultural production patterns, as well as the growth of modernization, rationalization, and commercialization in Surumana Village. The observed events are described using a qualitative method in this work. This study's data set includes both secondary and primary sources. Secondary data was gathered through searching relevant library resources and needed papers, while primary data was gathered by observing and conducting in-depth interviews. To collect primary data in the field, a total of 11 informants were purposefully chosen to be questioned in depth based on the study topic. The findings indicate that the agricultural production pattern in the research village has shifted toward commercialization and rationalization attempts to achieve economic rewards. Previously, the manufacturing pattern was primarily meant to fulfill the demands of basic minimalists. As a result, the shift in management patterns and farmers' production techniques toward a more logical and modern direction is a kind of farmer adaptation to the rise of modernization, rationalization, and commercialization in the village's agricultural sector.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine if Jakarta retains unique autonomy if the capital city is relocated to East Kalimantan. Furthermore, this article analyses various nations that have relocated their capital cities and compares them to Indonesia, which is now considering to relocate its capital city. The case study technique was employed in this investigation. The results of this article suggest that Indonesia can choose one of three strategies (1. Moving the Capital City, Government Center, and Business Center; 2. Moving just the Capital City and Government Center; or 3. Moving only the Government Center), with the impact of picking one of these schemes being: 1) If the capital is relocated, Jakarta would lose its unique autonomy as a special capital city; 2) If laws are implemented as a special commercial region or trade hub in Indonesia, Jakarta will still have special autonomy; 3). If just the center of the Indonesian government is relocated to East Kalimantan, Jakarta will retain special autonomy as a special capital region.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine how waste management rules are implemented in Tondo Village, Mantikulore District, Palu City. In this study, qualitative research methodologies were used to parse the data descriptively. Data was collected by observation, interviews, documentation, and data analysis utilizing descriptive analysis approaches. According to the study's findings, the implementation of waste management policies in Tondo Village, Mantikulore District, Palu City is still suboptimal, owing to the failure to apply the SOP. Operational expenses are still inadequate, thus they must be included in order to accomplish the goals of Palu City's waste management strategy. Waste management facilities and infrastructure are still insufficient, resulting in a low level of management services. In terms of waste management implementation, officials must raise their socialization in program implementation, improve the quality of the implementing apparatus' resources, and offer suitable facilities so that trash management in Tondo Village may function smoothly.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out what the true picture is of the quality of basic education services in Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, and what variables impact it. To answer these problems, qualitative approaches with a phenomenological perspective were used. After the research was completed, the quality of basic education services in Donggala Regency did not meet community expectations owing to a lack of management based on elements such as dependability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. The poor commitment of the local government, particularly the officials of the Donggala Regency Education Office, to completing different areas of establishing the quality of education services is one of the causes influencing it. Furthermore, the community's and business/industry world's lack of involvement has an impact. This study presents a number of suggestions/recommendations that the Donggala Regency government, Donggala Regency Education Office, and stakeholders in the field of basic education development, particularly basic education services, are expected to use to improve the quality of basic education services.

Abstract

The usage of contraception is a problem that leads to maternal mortality. According to the 2012 IDHS, the rate of unmet demand is 8.5%. The significant unmet need for family planning services increases the likelihood of unwanted pregnancies (UP). If UP is prolonged in postpartum women, it will result in a very close pregnancy distance, and there is a risk of abortion difficulties if it is interrupted. Pangkep Regency has the fewest new and active family planning participants in South Sulawesi Province, with the lowest percentages in the Minasatene Health Center, at 62.04% and 76.73%, respectively. Meanwhile, the class program for pregnant women has been implemented in all Public Health Center in Pangkep Regency, including one at the Minasatene Health Center, in compliance with the rules for conducting courses for pregnant women. The goal of this study was to see how participation in the Pregnant Women's Class (PWC) affected the time span of contraceptive usage. This is an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design with 73 respondents recruited by purposive sampling and the Simple Linear Regression Test. From 73 respondents, it is known that the majority of participation in the class of pregnant women is not in accordance with the standards, namely as many as 57 mothers (78.08%) and the time span of using contraception that is not according to standards (> 42 days) as many as 20 mothers (27.39%). The results of the analysis test of the Simple Linear Regression Test obtained the value of p = 0.004 (p = <0.05). The study concludes that participation in the Pregnant Women Class (PWC) has an influence on the duration span of contraceptive usage at the Minasatene Health Center, Pangkajene and Islands Districts in 2022.
