Abstract

The expansion of urban functions fosters the creation of new activity centers beyond existing built-up areas, thereby transforming rural landscapes into semi-urban zones. Driven by rapid globalization, technological advancements, and population growth within urban areas, peri-urbanization—as a manifestation of urban expansion—has become an inevitable phenomenon. This phenomenon is evident in the Kawasan Perkotaan Yogyakarta (KPY), which administratively encompasses three jurisdictions: Yogyakarta City as the urban core, along with portions of Sleman and Bantul Regencies. Currently, the trajectory of urban sprawl is shifting southward toward Bantul Regency. This study aims to delineate the peri-urban zones within the Kawasan Perkotaan Yogyakarta (KPY). This research employs a quantitative approach utilizing Geographic Information System (GIS)-based spatial analysis. Regional clustering was performed using the k-means algorithm based on four primary variables: percentage of built-up land, net population density, percentage of non-agricultural households, and availability of public facilities. The results indicate that peri-urban areas in the KPY are no longer confined by administrative boundaries but have significantly expanded southward into Bantul Regency. The study classifies the region into four distinct zones: (1) urban core, (2) urban fringe, (3) peri-urban, and (4) rural. These findings indicate a substantial transformation of agricultural land into non-agricultural use within the peri-urban zone. Consequently, this study recommends the integration of cross-regional spatial planning policies within the KPY to control land conversion and ensure sustainable development in these transitional areas.

Abstract

penelitian ini mengeksplorasi keberlanjutan Radakng Betang Sahapm, Kalimantan Barat melalui adaptasi ruang yang dilakukan oleh penghuni. Adaptasi ini meliputi penambahan ruang dan penyesuaian material untuk memenuhi kebutuhan penghuni saat ini. Transformasi yang terjadi, merupakan proses dari penyesuaian masyarakat setempat dalam memenuhi kebutuhan yang menyesuaikan perubahan zaman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penghuni Radakng melakukan adaptasi ruang dengan mempertimbangkan fungsionalitas ruang dan penggunaan material yang menyesuaikan ketersediaan dan efisiensi saat ini. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa adaptasi ruang dalam Radakng Betang Sahapm tidak hanya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan penghuni nya, melainkan untuk mendukung keberlanjutan masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

Banjir merupakan salah satu bencana hidrometeorologi yang paling sering terjadi di Indonesia dan menjadi permasalahan serius di wilayah perkotaan, termasuk Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perubahan tingkat ancaman bahaya banjir di Kota Bengkulu pada tahun 2025 sebagai kondisi baseline dan tahun 2041 sebagai kondisi proyeksi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif berbasis analisis spasial menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). Analisis dilakukan melalui metode skoring dan overlay terhadap beberapa parameter yang memengaruhi bahaya banjir, yaitu elevasi, kemiringan lereng, curah hujan, jenis tanah, kerapatan sungai, dan penggunaan lahan. Perbedaan utama antara kedua tahun analisis terletak pada variabel penggunaan lahan yang disesuaikan dengan rencana pola ruang Kota Bengkulu Tahun 2021–2041. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tahun 2025 maupun 2041, sebagian besar wilayah Kota Bengkulu berada pada tingkat ancaman bahaya banjir sedang hingga tinggi. Proyeksi tahun 2041 memperlihatkan peningkatan luasan kelas bahaya tinggi yang signifikan, terutama di kecamatan yang mengalami peningkatan kawasan terbangun. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa perubahan penggunaan lahan akibat pembangunan berperan penting dalam meningkatkan ancaman banjir di Kota Bengkulu.

Abstract

In an era of rapid technological development, chess education remains rigid and often fails to adapt to the diverse abilities of individual learners. To address this gap, Lescatur was developed as a student-centered chess learning platform that offers comprehensive features, including personal coaching. This study adopts a design-thinking approach, utilizing surveys to identify user needs and expert validation through CVR and CVI to assess the essentiality and relevance of the prototype features. A total of 73 respondents participated in the user-needs survey, focusing on expectations for digital chess learning. Expert validation involved five specialists who evaluated key features such as personal coaching, AI training modules, interactive e- books, and instructional videos. Survey findings indicate a strong demand for personalized and adaptive chess learning, positioning Lescatur as a potential solution for comprehensive and flexible digital chess education. The purposes of this study include (1) identifying user needs (empathize), (2) defining core learning problems (define), (3) generating interactive and adaptive learning concepts (ideate), (4) developing the prototype (prototype), and (5) evaluating its user experience (test). The CVR and CVI results demonstrate strong content validity, with nearly all CVR items meeting the minimum threshold of 0.99 and the S-CVI average exceeding 0.9, indicating high expert agreement regarding essentiality and relevance. These findings support the feasibility of further developing the Lescatur platform as a valid and user-centered virtual chess learning solution.

Abstract

Manual monitoring of CCTV systems for detecting anomalous movements, such as criminal activity, is highly inefficient and prone to human error, thus urging the need for automated surveillance systems. A key research gap is that most object detection models (spatial in nature) fail to understand the temporal context (movement patterns over time) which is key to distinguishing normal and anomalous activities. This study proposes the design of a hybrid deep learning model YOLOv8-LSTM to address this issue. Using the 4D R&D (Define, Design, Develop) research methodology, an architecture is designed in which YOLOv8 (yolov8m) functions as a spatial feature extractor (generating a 106-dimensional vector) from each video frame. The sequence of these features is then analyzed using a Bidirectional Long Short- Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) equipped with an Attention Pooling mechanism to model temporal dependencies and classify movements. The prototype test results on the test set show strong performance, achieving an AUC of 0.8646 and an F1-Score of 0.6530. Qualitative analysis through 3D latent space visualization successfully demonstrated the model's effectiveness: initially overlapping spatial features (YOLOv8 input) were successfully mapped into clearly separated clusters of normal and anomalous classes (LSTM output). This study validates that the proposed hybrid architecture effectively combines spatial and temporal understanding for accurate anomalous motion detection.

Abstract

The City of Cirebon is part of the Rebana Metropolitan Area and possesses significant potential in the MSME sector. Economic growth and increasing population mobility require a reliable and efficient transportation system. However, persistent transportation problems such as traffic congestion can reduce community income and hinder the distribution system of goods and services. This study aims to assess the Level of Service (LoS) of road segments in the City of Cirebon as a basis for determining priority road network improvements to support MSME development. The analytical methods employed include LoS analysis calculated in accordance with the PKJI 2023 and visualized using ArcGIS. MSME density was analyzed using KDE in ArcGIS. Furthermore, spatial overlay analysis was applied to integrate the LoS results with MSME density patterns. The findings indicate that the LoS values of the 19 observed road segments in the City of Cirebon vary considerably. Approximately 47.37% of the segments fall within LoS D-F, indicating traffic conditions ranging from approaching unstable flow to severe congestion at LoS F, where maximum vehicle speeds are limited to approximately 15 km/h. The KDE analysis reveals that the highest concentration of MSMEs is predominantly located in Kejaksan and Pekalipan Districts. Meanwhile, the spatial overlay analysis identifies priority road segments that require immediate attention to support MSME activities in the City of Cirebon, namely Wahidin Sudirohusodo Street and Sunan Gunung Jati Street in Kejaksan District, as well as Pekalipan Street and Nyi Mas Gandasari Street in Pekalipan District.

Abstract

National road infrastructure plays a strategic role in supporting economic, social, and cultural activities within a region. The quality of road services should be reflected not only in their physical condition but also in the perceptions and satisfaction of road users as the primary beneficiaries. However, most evaluations have focused primarily on technical aspects, often overlooking user experiences and expectations. This study evaluates the quality of national road infrastructure services in Kupang City based on user perceptions and satisfaction. A quantitative approach was applied involving 200 respondents of productive age from various backgrounds. The assessment covered five main variables: road conditions, complementary structures, road equipment, roadside area utilisation, and maintenance services. Data were analysed using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method to measure the level of conformity between performance and importance and to identify service improvement priorities. The findings reveal that nine service attributes require improvement due to gaps between user expectations and perceived performance. Cartesian diagram analysis further identified four priority attributes: properly functioning drainage channels to prevent flooding during rainfall, availability of safety barriers on steep road sections, presence of green trees to reduce heat and improve air quality, and timely repair of road damage.These results highlight critical service aspects most strongly perceived by users and provide a basis for road operators to develop more responsive, targeted, and sustainable infrastructure service improvement strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis video menggunakan Adobe Express dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menghafal kosakata bahasa Arab siswa kelas X Al-Fattahiyyah. Pengembangan ini membahas tentang rendahnya minat dan motivasi siswa dalam menghafal kosakata bahasa arab yang menjadi tantangan dalam pembelajaran. Peneliti menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE, yaitu Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, dan Evaluate. Hasil validasi menunjukkan skor dari ahli media sebesar 88% (sangat baik), dan dari ahli materi sebesar 90% (sangat baik). Uji coba pada kelompok kecil mendapatkan skor 89%, dan uji coba kelompok besar 88% (baik kedua). Tingkat pencapaian rata-rata sebesar 89%, terklasifikasi sangat baik. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa media layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran yang lebih menarik, memotivasi, ninteraktif, dan juga efisien. Abstract

Education endowment funds are increasingly promoted as sustainable financing instruments to support long-term educational development, particularly within decentralized governance systems. However, empirical evidence on how such funds are governed and implemented at the local level remains limited. This study examines the governance of the Education Endowment Fund in Bojonegoro Regency, Indonesia, focusing on the translation of policy intentions into institutional practices and school-level utilization. Drawing on qualitative data from in-depth interviews and policy document analysis, the study finds that although the fund operates within a formally structured governance framework, its implementation is characterized by centralized decision-making, compliance-oriented accountability mechanisms, and constrained local agency. Consequently, the fund is largely utilized to address short-term operational needs rather than to advance long-term sustainability objectives. The findings also reveal the importance of informal coordination and adaptive practices in navigating administrative complexity, albeit with uneven outcomes across institutions. This study contributes to debates on education financing governance by highlighting the critical role of local governance dynamics in shaping policy outcomes.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of differentiated instruction on the writing proficiency of Grade XI students at SMA Al Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung. Employing a quasi-experimental design, 60 students were divided equally into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received tailored instruction based on students’ interests and learning profiles, while the control group followed conventional methods. Pre- and post-tests were administered, and data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent sample t-tests, and analysis of variance. Results revealed a significant improvement in the experimental group’s writing scores, with a mean gain of 28.67 points compared to 9.5 in the control group. Additionally, thematic analysis of student interviews, guided by Braun and Clarke’s framework, identified three key themes: positive impact on engagement and comprehension, advantages enhancing learning dynamics, and minimal barriers with significant benefits. Students found the method enjoyable, structured, and effective in supporting their learning. These findings suggest that differentiated instruction not only improves students’ academic outcomes but also fosters motivation and active participation. Theoretically, the study supports learner-centered instructional models, while practically, it offers insights for educators seeking more inclusive and effective strategies. Despite limitations related to sample size and context, the research provides a strong case for broader implementation and further exploration of differentiated instruction in varied educational settings.
