Abstract

Instructional System Planning is a foundational course for pre-service teachers to build professional pedagogical competence. One of the crucial outcomes of this course is the ability to develop an adaptive, systematic, and student-centered Lesson Plan (RPP). This article discusses the restructuring and implementation strategies of RPP development in the Instructional System Planning course to meet modern curriculum challenges. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this article analyzes how technology integration, authentic assessment, and differentiated learning are formulated into RPP components by students. The review indicates that a strong theoretical mastery of instructional system design (such as the ADDIE or Dick and Carey models) is directly proportional to the quality of the generated lesson plans. This article recommends peer-feedback-based mentoring models and real-case studies in schools to enhance students' practical skills in designing effective and meaningful learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the understanding of color theory and composition through the application of interactive digital visual-based learning media in the Color Theory and Composition course at the Graphic Design Study Program, Universitas Sains Indonesia. The research was motivated by the low level of student active involvement, difficulty in understanding abstract concepts of color theory, and learning that is still dominated by conventional methods that do not support visual exploration-based learning and Student Centered Learning (SCL). The study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Outcome Based Education (OBE) and Student Centered Learning (SCL) approaches. The study was conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation of student activities, learning outcome tests, documentation, design project assessments, and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the use of interactive digital visual-based learning media was able to increase student activity from 64.37% in Cycle I to 88.12% in Cycle II. The completion of learning outcomes increased from 56.25% to 84.37%, visual creativity increased from 65.62% to 87.50%, and design analysis skills increased from 62.50% to 85.93%. The implementation of digital visual-based interactive media also improved students' abilities in analyzing color psychology, evaluating the use of color in visual communication, and creating design works based on color theory and composition. The results of the study showed that digital visual-based interactive learning media was effectively implemented in OBE and SCL-based graphic design learning to improve students' Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) at levels C4 (Analyze), C5 (Evaluate), and C6 (Create).

Abstract

Income inequality remains a critical structural challenge in Indonesia, particularly across the major islands of Sumatra, Java, and Kalimantan. This study analyzes the determinants of income inequality in 21 provinces across these three islands from 2015 to 2024, using the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) dynamic panel approach developed by Arellano and Bond (1991). The dependent variable is the Gini Ratio, while the independent variables consist of Economic Growth (GRDP per capita), Open Unemployment Rate (OUR), Mean Years of Schooling (MYS), and Poverty Rate. The study employs a dynamic panel model to address endogeneity problems and capture the persistence of income inequality over time. Results indicate that the lagged Gini Ratio, the Open Unemployment Rate, Mean Years of Schooling, and Poverty Rate have statistically significant effects on income inequality, while Economic Growth does not show a significant direct effect. The GMM model's validity is confirmed through the Arellano-Bond AR(2) test and the Hansen overidentification test. These findings underscore the importance of inclusive growth policies, expanded educational access, and poverty reduction programs to achieve more equitable income distribution across Indonesian provinces.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of foreign tourist arrivals (WIS), money supply (JUB), foreign exchange reserves (CADEV), and the Oil Volatility Index (OVX) on the Indonesian Rupiah exchange rate (IDR/USD) from January 2015 to December 2024 using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach. The results indicate the existence of a long-run cointegrating relationship among the variables. In the short run, an increase in foreign tourist arrivals tends to strengthen the Rupiah, while increases in money supply and OVX lead to Rupiah depreciation. Meanwhile, foreign exchange reserves play a significant role in stabilizing and strengthening the Rupiah. In the long run, only money supply and foreign exchange reserves have a statistically significant effect on the exchange rate, whereas the effects of foreign tourist arrivals and OVX are temporary. The Error Correction Term (ECT) coefficient of −0.314825 indicates that approximately 31.48% of short-run disequilibrium is corrected each month, implying that the adjustment toward long-run equilibrium takes about three months. The model explains 61.23% of the variation in exchange rate movements. These findings provide important policy implications for Bank Indonesia, Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, and financial market participants in maintaining exchange rate stability.

Abstract

Language development is an important aspect in the growth and development of early childhood because it is directly related to thinking skills , social interaction , and learning readiness . One of the disorders that often appears during the golden age (0–6 years ) is speech delay , which is a condition when a child is not yet able to use spoken language according to his developmental stage . This article aims to identify and analyze factors that influence speech delay in early childhood based on Vygotsky 's social development theory . The study was conducted using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method of national and international scientific articles published between January 2019 and December 2025. Of the 245 articles found through four databases, 25 articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed thematically . The results of the study indicate that speech delay is influenced by internal factors of the child ( cognitive and emotional ), family factors ( parenting patterns and verbal stimulation ), educational environmental factors ( the role of teachers and learning methods ), and socio-technological factors ( social interaction and exposure to digital devices ). Based on Vygotsky's theory , social interaction through the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) and scaffolding plays a central role in accelerating children's language development .

Abstract

Teacher competence in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a key pillar of digital education transformation. However, studies show that the digital literacy gap among educators remains a systemic challenge in developing countries, including Indonesia, due to generational differences, infrastructure limitations, and the absence of measurable ICT standards. This study aims to formulate strategies for improving teacher ICT competence based on a synthesis of recent literature. Using library research with a systematic approach to indexed journals (2023–2026) and textbooks (2018–2026), data were analysed through thematic content analysis and narrative synthesis. Findings reveal four strategic pillars: locally adapted UNESCO CFT frameworks; sustainable andragogical and micro-learning training; digital communities of practice with peer mentoring; and incentive systems integrated with project-based digital portfolios. Key barriers include technostress among senior teachers, lack of institutional support, and urban-rural infrastructure disparities. The main contribution of this research is providing an integrated, evidence-based strategic model for enhancing teacher ICT competence that bridges policy, practice, and local context in developing countries. The study concludes that strategies must be holistic and contextual. Policy recommendations include measurable competency standards, sustainable budgets, and community-based online professional development platforms.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of fiscal dependency of the Kediri City Government on central government transfer funds and its implications for regional financial independence within the framework of fiscal decentralization. The study employs a quantitative descriptive approach supported by a literature review to strengthen the theoretical foundation. The data used are secondary data in the form of the realization of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) of Kediri City for the period 2021–2025, obtained from the Satu Data Kediri portal and official publications of the Central Bureau of Statistics. The analysis is conducted using the regional financial independence ratio, which is the comparison between local own-source revenue (PAD) and transfer revenue as the main indicator in measuring regional fiscal capacity. The results show that the fiscal independence ratio of Kediri City ranges from 28.16% to 42.27%, indicating that the level of fiscal independence remains relatively low and falls within the instructive relationship category. This condition reflects a high dependence on central government transfers. However, the Human Development Index (HDI) of Kediri City shows a consistent upward trend, suggesting that transfer funds continue to play a significant role in supporting regional development, particularly in strategic sectors.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of a humanistic approach to learning to improve elementary school students' literacy and numeracy skills. The study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, documentation, and tests on 25 students in grade 3A of Daarul Muttaqien Integrated Islamic Elementary School, Surabaya. The results showed that the humanistic approach was able to improve students' participation, self-confidence, literacy skills, and numeracy skills. Students became more active in discussions, dared to express their opinions, and were able to relate learning materials to everyday life. Improved literacy was seen from the ability to understand reading, while improved numeracy was seen in the ability to solve contextual problems. Most students achieved good to very good learning outcomes. In addition, students felt the learning process was more enjoyable and meaningful because the material was linked to their real experiences. Thus, the humanistic approach is an effective learning strategy to improve the quality of learning and strengthen literacy and numeracy in elementary schools.
