Abstract

Contrastive analysis and error analysis in understanding the challenges faced by Indonesian students in learning English. Using a qualitative approach, this study analyzes data on errors made by students in the use of tenses , vocabulary, and pronunciation, which are influenced by interference from Indonesian. Data were collected through English tests and interviews with students, then analyzed using the contrastive and error analysis framework. The results show that the main difficulties faced by students lie in the differences in tense structures , errors in vocabulary selection, and pronunciation difficulties influenced by the phonetic habits of Indonesian. This study suggests that English teaching needs to focus more on the structural differences between the two languages and provide intensive practice to correct frequent errors.

Abstract

The implementation of information disclosure in public bodies is an order in law number 14 of 2008 concerning openness of public information which applies to all public bodies, both in the central government through ministries and other state institutions and regional governments through regional organizations or regional work units. The importance of monitoring and evaluating the implementation of this law for regional officials in order to ensure that public information services are periodic, at any time, immediately, and information that is excluded can run well. Research data was taken from the results of monitoring and evaluation activities in 2023 by the Banten Information Commission on 39 regional apparatus organizations. Through a qualitative approach, the data is processed and described according to data from indicators I, II, III and IV, namely website development, public information development, public information services and public information provision. The monitoring and evaluation results show that of the 39 public bodies, 25 public bodies are informative, 9 are informative, 2 are quite informative, and 3 are less informative. This confirms that the majority of regional apparatus organizations are informative by implementing public information service standards that refer to PERKI 1 of 2021. However, in the future, information and documentation management officials in regional apparatus organizations still need to maximize services for public information requests for applicants and information users. whose numbers continue to increase. So, the quantity and quality of monitoring and evaluation of public bodies needs to be continuously maintained by the information commission.

Abstract

Inter-religious harmony is a crucial aspect in maintaining social stability and community harmony in Indonesia. This study discusses the factors that disrupt inter-religious harmony through a metaphysical perspective, specifically by referring to the concept of metaphysics of togetherness from philosopher Gabriel Marcel. The research method used is a literature study that focuses on analysing theories and concepts in various related literatures. The results show that the concept of human relations, namely the ‘I-You’ and ‘I-Ia’ relations, has a significant influence in shaping patterns of social interaction that can support or hinder harmony. Tolerance and the principle of religious freedom are the main factors in realising harmony, supported by philosophical foundations and religious teachings. In addition, factors that disrupt religious harmony include discrimination, differences in interpretation of religious teachings, and political interests that utilise religious issues for certain interests. To overcome these disturbances, an awareness of the importance of the principles of justice, respect for diversity, and an understanding that human life is basically ‘existing together’ with others is needed. This study confirms that building inter-religious harmony requires not only social and legal approaches, but also philosophical awareness of the essence of human existence as interconnected beings.

Abstract

Religious modernisation has brought about significant changes in religious practice and understanding, which have impacted on the values of Pancasila as Indonesia's state ideology. This study explores how religious modernisation affects the values of Pancasila, particularly the first precept, in the perspective of the metaphysics of divinity. Using the literature study method, this research analyses the impact of modernisation on the nation's fundamental values, both positively and negatively. The results show that religious modernisation can strengthen religious understanding through wider access to information, but also risks eroding the value of spirituality due to excessive rationalisation. In the perspective of divine metaphysics, a balance between rationality and spirituality is needed so that the values of Pancasila remain relevant in modern life. This study emphasises the importance of philosophical and transcendental approaches in maintaining harmony between the progress of the times and noble traditional values.

Abstract

In an era of globalization and increasingly fierce competition, companies in Asia, including Indonesia, face increasingly complex challenges in maintaining and improving their position in the market. Competition with other Asian countries is one of the main factors that encourages companies to continue to adapt and improve their performance. In an effort to face this challenge, company management has developed from conventional concepts to focus on governance, risk, and compliance, known as GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance). The aim of this research is to determine the maturity of the implementation of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) at PT Kimia Farma Trading & Distribution (KFTD). This study utilized qualitative methods to understand and describe the situation that takes place in the research environment. The analysis began with the coding stage of the data derived from the results of the interviews which had been transcribed into text using a case study approach. The research concludes that the maturity level of Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) implementation at KFTD is currently at an early stage, with the integration between governance, risk management, and compliance not yet fully achieved. Although the organizational structure and regulatory compliance provide support, GRC functions are still operating separately, and internal awareness and commitment need to be enhanced. A more mature GRC implementation is necessary to improve operational efficiency, decision-making, and ensure business sustainability. Recommendations for KFTD include strengthening GRC socialization programs, developing an integrated GRC system, increasing management support, conducting regular maturity assessments, and leveraging technology for monitoring and reporting.

Abstract

Energy efficiency, even though it is small, will have a big impact in terms of power, economy, environment, and others. Many potential energy savings can be explored, one of which is from motor performance. The 3-phase AC motor is the main electricity user in a modern industry. The average electricity consumption for electric motors ranges from 65-70% of the total electricity cost. This study aims to determine the efficiency value of the 3-phase AC motor as a pump driver. The research method used is by means of literature study, measurement, and data processing. The methodology in data collection is carried out with the criteria for sampling the motor, measurement, and output analysis. From the results of the analysis, it is known that the average 3-phase AC motor for the work of Centrifugal pumps on the Booster Pump Tower Water PDAM Tirtanadi work at an efficiency of 47.42% of the load. This result can be called a reduction in improvement considering that maximum efficiency occurs in the range of 75-80%. The amount of energy wasted if realized will have many negative impacts that are detrimental to the company, one of which is productivity
