Abstract

The Mandarese sounds interfered the English sounds. This research aimed to describe the kinds of the Mandarese sounds that substituted the English sounds in a word and to find out where position in a word of the Mandarese sounds substituted the English sounds.The method used in this research was the descriptive qualitative and quantitative method. Qualitative applied to describe where the position of Mandarese sounds substitute the English sounds in a word. The quantitative method was applied to count how many times the Mandarese sounds substituted the English sounds. This research carried out in Polman regency. The primary data were gathered from 30 English teachers through (1) observation, when they were teaching in their classes. It aimed to compare the producing of sounds when they read and not. (2) By asking the teachers to read the reading text. The result shows that the Mandarese sounds interfered the English sound in a word. It was proven by the percentage of appearances of the Mandarese sounds, 47%, and the English sound, 32 %. And substitution happened in initial, middle, and final positions for the English sounds such as [æ], [ə],[e], [I], [v], [f], [ò], [z], [ð] by [ε], [i:], [p], [s], [d], [t].

Abstract

This research is qualitative research whose data was obtained by conducting library research directed at understanding the messages in a text. The findings of the research results are that student management is a process of managing all matters related to students in a school, starting from planning, accepting students, coaching carried out while students are at school, until students complete their education through creating a learning atmosphere that is conducive and constructive to the ongoing learning process. effective teaching and learning process. Abstract

Most Indonesians have changed their lifestyle by following the work from café (WFC) trend. This trend makes business people in the field of coffee shops must pay attention to a good servicescape to support customer satisfaction while on the move there. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of servicescape on customer satisfaction of Karya Karsa Bandung Coffee. This research uses a quantitative approach method by sampling 120 respondents of Generation Z customers of Karya Karsa Bandung Coffee who do work from café (WFC) there. The results of the data collection were then processed with SPSS version 25. The result of this study is that servicescape has a positive and significant effect of 70.1% on customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Queues arise due to the need for services exceeding the capacity of services or service facilities so that users of facilities cannot immediately get services due to busy services. Very long queues and taking too long to get a turn for service are very dissatisfying for patients with the Self-Registration Kiosk (ADM) method at Batugana Health Center aims to maximize the outpatient registration process in order to create easy, fast and comfortable services for patients. However, in its implementation there are still many elderly people who do not understand its use and sometimes there are problems with the system, thus slowing down the service process at Batugana Health Center. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of the Self-Registration Kiosk Method (ADM) at Batugana Health Center. The method in this study is qualitative analytic. The sample in this study consisted of 4 informants including: Head of the Health Center, Head of the Self-Registration Kiosk Division, Self-Registration Kiosk Officers and Outpatients. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with informants, then the data was analyzed by data reduction through Data Triangulation and sources, then displayed in narrative form. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of human resources, SOPs and facilities and infrastructure on the use of the Self-Registration Kiosk (ADM) method at Batugana Health Center on the evaluation of the effectiveness of the use of the Self-Registration Kiosk (ADM) Method at Batugana Health Center., has not fully implemented the use of APM effectively because the expected results have not been in accordance, namely creating fast service. At Batugana Health Center, the efforts that will be made are to re-evaluate the performance of officers on APM, determine officers who really understand the APM machine. And what will be done is to create an SOP on the use of the APM machine, check the function of the APM machine, add internet quality and add electric generators.

Abstract

This study aims to develop human resource (HR) capabilities through graphic design computer training to improve students' knowledge at Al-Farabi Integrated Vocational School. This training activity is designed as an effort to provide practical skills that are relevant to the needs of the creative industry and information technology. The method used is a quantitative and qualitative approach through observation and evaluation of training results. Training participants are given materials ranging from an introduction to graphic design software to creating creative projects based on digital design. The results of the study showed that this training significantly improved students' understanding and skills in using graphic design software such as CorelDRAW. In addition, students showed increased creativity and analytical skills in developing innovative graphic works. This training also strengthens students' competitiveness in the world of work and the relevance of the school curriculum to industry needs. Thus, developing HR capabilities through graphic design computer training is an effective strategy in improving the quality of education and career opportunities for students in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation, job satisfaction, and work environment on employee performance at KFC Outlets in the Sibolangit - Berastagi Area, both partially and simultaneously. The study population consisted of 42 employees, all of whom were taken as samples using saturated sampling techniques. Primary data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed quantitatively using multiple linear regression methods with the SPSS version 24.0 application. The results of the analysis indicate that work motivation, job satisfaction, and work environment have a positive and significant influence on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. Partially, work motivation has a regression value of 0.395, t count (5.098) > t table (2.024), and a significant 0.000 <0.05. Job satisfaction shows a regression value of 0.272, t count (3.040) > t table (2.024), and a significant 0.004 <0.05. The work environment has a regression value of 0.150, tcount (2.694) > ttable (2.024), and a significance of 0.010 < 0.05. The simultaneous test (F test) produces Fcount (168.652) > Ftable (2.852) with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05, so that the hypotheses H1, H2, H3, and H4 are accepted. The work motivation variable was found to be the dominant factor with the highest regression value. The determination test shows that 92.5% of employee performance is influenced by work motivation, job satisfaction, and work environment, while 7.5% is influenced by other factors. The relationship between employee performance and these three variables is very strong.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the empowerment of pandan craftsmen as a means of improving the economic welfare of women in Kecupak II Village, PGGS District, Pakpak Bharat Regency. The pandan handicrafts in this village have significant potential for development, but limited access to markets and skill training has resulted in suboptimal income for artisans, especially women. Through a community empowerment approach, this research focuses on skill development, product quality enhancement, and broader market access. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and focus group discussions (FGD) with artisans, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders. The findings indicate that training in skills, strengthening business management, and improved market access can increase product quality and competitiveness of pandan handicrafts in local and regional markets. Furthermore, this empowerment initiative has opened up economic opportunities for women, increased household incomes, and strengthened the role of women in the village economy. As a recommendation, further support from the government and related institutions is needed to provide advanced training, broader marketing access, and business capital assistance to sustain and advance the pandan handicraft industry. In this way, the empowerment of pandan craftsmen in Kecupak II Village is expected to become a model for community-based economic empowerment that empowers women and enhances the overall well-being of the village community.

Abstract

The rapid advancements in technology and the digital transformation of indus-tries have necessitated innovative strategies for employee competency development to maintain organizational competitiveness. This study explores the implementation of em-ployee competency development strategies designed to increase productivity in the digi-tal era. Using a qualitative research approach, the study examines case studies from vari-ous industries that have successfully integrated digital tools and training programs into their human resource management practices.The findings reveal that effective compe-tency development strategies involve a combination of personalized training programs, continuous learning opportunities, and leveraging digital technologies such as e-learning platforms and virtual simulations. Moreover, fostering a culture of adaptability and inno-vation among employees was found to be critical in enabling organizations to navigate the challenges of digital disruption. The study concludes that organizations that prioritize employee competency development not only enhance productivity but also improve em-ployee engagement and organizational resilience in the face of rapid technological change. This research provides valuable insights for HR practitioners and policymakers in designing and implementing effective development strategies to meet the demands of the digital era.

Abstract

Startups are companies that operate in a dynamic environment with unique challenges, including in marketing communications. This study aims to identify and analyze the marketing communication challenges faced by startup companies, and to offer effective strategies to overcome them. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection through in-depth interviews, case studies, and literature analysis. The results of the study indicate that startup companies face a number of challenges in implementing effective marketing communications, including budget constraints, difficulties in building brand awareness, and challenges in conveying the unique value of the product to the audience. However, startups can overcome these challenges by utilizing more cost-effective digital platforms, optimizing the use of data to assess marketing results, and maintaining flexibility in adapting to rapid market changes. Success in marketing communications also depends on the startup's ability to design creative and responsive campaigns to market needs, which in turn can support their growth and competitiveness in a competitive market.

Abstract

In the digital era, narrative communication through podcasts has developed as an effective digital storytelling medium. This study analyzes how Simamaung Podcast utilizes narrative communication in building interesting stories and engagement with audiences. The method used is a qualitative approach with a case study on Simamaung Podcast, examining narrative elements that influence listener engagement and challenges in its implementation. The results of the study show that the use of narrative elements such as plot, characterization, and simple but distinctive language style, provides a strong appeal to the audience. Listeners are not only passive consumers, but also contribute to shaping the narrative through interactive features such as comments and online discussions. In addition, this podcast also strengthens the audience's digital literacy by presenting important issues such as club management and the dynamics of supporter culture in a reflective and critical manner. Simamaung Podcast utilizes digital media convergence to increase audience reach and engagement, especially through social media platforms such as Instagram and X.
