Abstract

During the pandemic, some unscrupulous perpetrators hoard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which then causes a shortage and an increase in the price of PPE. This is a problem that is quite worrying for consumer protection. This study will examine how criminal law in consumer protection looks at the issues regarding the hoarding of PPE by these elements. The research will be carried out using a normative juridical method. The approach used is a statute approach and a conceptual approach by looking at the law, research results, and previous studies related to this research. The study results found that criminal law plays an essential role in consumer protection. Then this criminal law can be used to take action against the perpetrators of hoarding PPE based on the Trade Law and the Business Competition Law.

Abstract

Citizenship status also refers to the competence or capacity of a person to participate in building and contributing to society. The citizenship competencies are knowledge, attitudes, and skills of a person in participating and responsible in the life of the community and state at the local, national, and international levels. The citizens must take responbility to make a better world in this era much issue in global space in civic discussions room student give the literacy about global issue of citizenship to build a perception in citizens. This research is a qualitative study carried out in the collage student community of democratia Sebelas Maret University. Millennial  are invited to study various issues regarding climate change and they study these problems using ecological citizenship as their scientific basis, namely through ecological citizenship as a means of changing thinking about the urgency of the importance of handling climate change from the perspective of citizens. With increasing literacy on global justice, students will understand the importance of their role as part of global society in helping to realize the importance of mutual peace that global justice is a shared responsibility.

Abstract

The present study investigates effective communication among woman legislators in realizing gender budget as a way to improve life quality of women in Jember regency. The research method implemented in this study is qualitative with in-depth interview as its data collection technique. The effective communication depicts a design of information delivery performed by a communicator to an interlocutor. Alo Liliweri (1997) mentions 8 determining variables in a process of effective communication, namely (1) sender, (2) background, (3) message/stimulation/stimulus, (4) channel/media, (5) receiver, (6) feedback, (7) entropy, and  (8) situation or atmosphere. The findings indicate that effective communication among women legislators includes building favorable interpersonal relationship with their constituents, thus creating a fanatic constituents. Another form of effective communication is by intensively holding a village-based aspiration hearing forum which involves the local community. Through this forum, the people can deliver their problems face to face and the attending members of the board can give applicable solutions, therefore feedback can be immediately uttered.

Abstract

The transformation of literary work today began to flourish in the field of literary studies, especially from novel to film form. The process of transformation on the form of poetry to other forms is still rare, but in this study researchers managed to find transformation from the poem Nyanyian Angsa by W. S. Rendra to novel Maria Zaitun by Joko Santoso. This research aims to describe the form of additions, substitutions, and differences in the poetry Nyanyian Angsa by W. S. Rendra and novel Maria Zaitun by Joko Santoso. The theory used in this study is transformation with qualitative descriptive research methods. The source of this research data is the poem text Nyanyian Angsa by W. S. Rendra and novel Maria Zaitun by Joko Santoso. Data collection techniques using reading techniques and note taking techniques, as well as interactive data analysis from Miles & Huberman (1992). The results of this study showed that additions, substitutions, and differences from poetry to novels found similarities and differences. The difference is because the building elements of the two literary works are different, but overall the literary works have similarities.

Abstract

Reported speech is one of difficult topics in learning English grammar, especially in changing the form from direct into indirect or reverse. Descriptive quantitative was used to find out the students’ ability in changing direct into indirect speech and reverse. There were five sentences that were changed by the students for two kinds of test. First, the test consisted of five direct sentences and the second, it consisted five indirect sentences.  As the conclusion of the students’ answers, the students found difficulties in changing those two kinds of sentences.

Abstract

Terrorism propaganda in mainstream approaches and strategies is very stigmatising towards certain cultures and results in unclear targets. The controversy over the U.S. attack on Iraq during the presidency of G W Bush Jr. was related to the issue of international legitimacy and the mainstream conceptions of terror and terrorism, with their derivative products in the approach and strategy of the terrorism propaganda. This research presents critical views from the international community on the conception of terror and terrorism and highlights the policy of the war against terror. This research is qualitative research, with literature review and analysis method in the form of meta-analysis. The findings of this research are that many experts in the international community criticise the conceptions of terror and terrorism and propose other approaches that are considered fair and reasonable. That approach is cultural identification regarding acts of terror (the act of terror) whose emergence factors are stratified and the scope of ethnicity, nation-state, and the dominance of the giant business sector. This alternative approach can be a more just way of handling terror acts and solid moral, legal, and political basis.

Abstract

Notary has the authority to make an Authentic Deed based on article 1867 of the Civil Code. Proof of evidence in writing is done by authentic writing or writing under the hand. Along with advances in technology, each transaction using electronic information technology makes it easy for parties to make agreements through online. However in reality the Authentic Deed made by a Notary Public must be adjusted to Law Number 30 of 2004 amending the Law Number 2 of 2014 about the position of Notary Public. The formulation of the problem in this research is How Positive Law about the Certainty of Authentic Deed Law conducted by a Notary by using Electronics and how the obstacles to the agreement by using the Electronic Deed conducted by a Notary. The writing method in this paper uses notative juridical and the nature of the research is perspective. Research results in writing are the legal certainty of an authentic deed made by a notary that there is no positive law relating to an authentic deed done online and authentic deeds made online are that the parties must face directly, good faith and the validity of electronic signatures whose authenticity is uncertain. Recomendation  that policies on authentic deeds need to be made electronically.

Abstract

This paper is motivated by the fact that there are still many lecturers at private universities who do not have the sincerity in pursuing a career even though there are many opportunities and government regulations in favor of lecturer development efforts. The existence of lecturers in universities is very vital, considering that the dharma of universities as a whole is carried out by lecturers. Besides, the performance measure of a university is also largely determined by the quality of the lecturers at the university. But in reality there are still many lecturers who are not serious in pursuing a career in higher education, especially in private universities. This paper will review what factors can encourage the improvement of organizational citizenship behavior of lecturers at private universities. Based on these problems, the authors attempted to elaborate and analyze the effect of job rewards and organizational commitment on organizational citizenship behavior by strengthening perceived organizational support and work engagement. It is hoped that this paper can provide information about the factors that can encourage the improvement of organizational citizenship behavior, especially for lecturers at private universities.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and analyze factors to support the development of creative industries. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. From the results of research conducted to get creative results because it is supported by highly reliable and high-quality human resources. The constraints used in developing the creative industry are snacks that are used to increase production and also from the banking sector.

Abstract

Kampong chicken, also known as a local chicken, is a native Indonesian chicken that has adapted, lived, developed, and reproduced for a long time, both in certain habitat areas and in several places. The study aimed to determine local chickens' qualitative nature and population structure in Southeast Sulawesi with six months in Kolaka Regency, Konawe Regency, and Buton Regency. Determination of the research population is based on the most significant, medium, and low population of chickens in each district. The research sample, which is 300 people, uses the purposive sampling method with data collection methods in interviews observation documentation. The results showed that native chickens in Southeast Sulawesi had colored and colorless plumage, wild and Columbian black feather patterns, plain striated feather patterns, and flickering gold and silver feathers, while the shank colors were white/yellow and black/gray, and the shape of a comb. Peas, single, and rose.
