Abstract

This study is aimed at understanding the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program which is still applying in Buleleng regency, in order to explore the company’s perception regarding the plan of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) integration with regional development plan in Buleleng regency and arranging a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). This study uses a qualitative method with study subjects including company and the corporate social and environmental responsibility Facilitation team of Buleleng regency. The study’s results show that (1) CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program which has been applying so far in Buleleng regency has encountered several obstacles such as the data form and activity administration. (2) The company perception of integration plan shows that the company supports the plan in general as long as it continues to adopt the company’s business interests. (3) The form of integration expected by the company can be carried out at the planning and implementation stages of activity. (4) The priority areas that planned to receive CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) founding, they are must be the areas which is in line with goals and objectives of the Buleleng regency local government plan. (5) The Strategic Plan for Integration of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) with regional development plan is described in the strategy for implementing activities and in the form of activity proposals.

Abstract

Inheritance law is closely related to the scope of human life, because all humans in particular will definitely experience death. There are various conceptions of inheritance used in Indonesia, including the conception of Islamic inheritance and the conception of customary inheritance. This study aims to compare the conception of Islamic and customary inheritance and their application in Indonesia. The type of research used is normative juridical with the Statute Approach and Conceptual Approach and the sources of legal materials used are primary, secondary, and tertiary laws. Next, collect legal materials for descriptive analysis. Based on the research that has been done, it is found that the comparison of the conception of Islamic and customary inheritance has similarities and differences in principle. The similarities between the conceptions of Islamic and customary inheritance, one of which explains the transfer of property, but the difference is that in Islamic inheritance the heir must die but in customary inheritance it is not required to die. The application of Islamic inheritance in Indonesia consists of a pluralism of teachings, for example the ahlus sunnah wal jamaa'h inheritance system (Shafi'i, Hanafi, Hambali and Maliki schools) and the most dominant is the Shafi'i school of thought. For the application of customary inheritance in Indonesia, it is influenced by the principle of lineage which is influenced by the form of ethnicity in the customary law environment.

Abstract

Reading is the key to student learning success in school. The higher students' reading interest not only increases students' knowledge, but also improves student learning outcomes. This study aims to describe the reading interest of high school students in elementary school. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The data sources in this study were one homeroom teacher for class V and four students for class V. The data collection techniques in this study used interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The validity of this research data using triangulation techniques, sources and time. Data analysis used the Milles and Huberman model with three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. This research was developed into 5 sub-indicators consisting of frequent reading, reading time, reading varied readings, reading readings that are considered important and looking for reading materials themselves. The results of the study concluded that the reading interest of high-grade students at the State Elementary School 03 Minas has begun to be seen, although it has not been achieved optimally. Because there are still students who have not shown the same interest in reading.

Abstract

The moral value and expression of religious moderation in “Pecinan” (Chinatown) in this study are values reflected in the interaction between Pondok Pesantren Kauman and the Chinese ethnic community in Lasem, Rembang. This field study has four (4) research focuses, namely: 1) the interaction of religious moderation in Chinatown, 2) the urgency of religious moderation practices in Chinatown, 3) the practice of religious moderation in Chinatown, and 4) the values of religious moderation in Chinatown. The urgency of religious moderation in Chinatown can be mapped into two (2), which are the theological and sociological urgencies. The practice of religious moderation in Chinatown is reflected physically in the acculturation of Javanese-Arab-Chinese buildings, as well as non-physically in the teaching of Islamic values rahmatan lil ‘alamin. The values of religious moderation in Chinatown include infitah (inclusive), tawassuth (moderate), musawah (equality), and tawazun (balanced).

Abstract

This study aims to show that there is a direct influence between ISR, profitability, and ICG on Intellectual Capital, a direct effect between ISR, profitability, and ICG on Maqashid Syariah Performance, and an indirect effect between ISR, profitability, and ICG on Islamic Maqashid Performance through intellectual capital as intervention variables. The sample in this study consists of 14 annual reports of Islamic banking companies in Indonesia for the 2016-2020 period, selected using the purposive sampling method. This study was tested using SEM Analysis on Smart PLS. The results of this study indicate that there is a direct influence of ISR and ICG which has an impact on the performance of Maqashid Syariah at Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. And there is a direct influence of ISR and profitability has an impact on intellectual capital in Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. However, ICG and ISR do not have an impact on Intellectual capital in Islamic Commercial Banks and also Intellectual capital is not able to have an impact on Sharia Maqashid Performance and the intellectual capital variable is not able to mediate the influence of ISR, profitability, and ICG on Sharia Maqashid Performance in Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia.

Abstract

The study investigated the use of social media among adolescents in North Dakota. Specifically, the study sought to determine the prominent social media used by adolescents in North Dakota; and the extent to which adolescents used social media in North Dakota State. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The sample for the study consisted of two hundred (200) adolescents that were randomly selected using a simple random sampling technique. One research instrument tagged ‘’Adolescents Social Media Questionnaire’’ (ASMQ) was used to collect data for the study.  Data collected were analyzed using frequency counts and simple percentages. Results of the study showed that Snapchat, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter are the prominent social media used by adolescents at above 70.0% in North Dakota State. Results of the study also revealed that the level of adolescents who use social media is high at 60.5% in North Dakota. The study concluded that Snapchat, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter are the prominent social media used by adolescents and that the level to which adolescents use social media is high in North Dakota.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that affect the performance of the employees of the Education Office of Pidie Jaya Regency by testing the individual characteristics and work environment variables. This study uses a sample of 84 employees with a total sampling method. The data analysis tool used is SPSS version 21 with multiple linear regression method. From the results of hypothesis testing simultaneously or as a whole, it is known that individual characteristics and work environment have a simultaneous or joint influence on the performance of the Pidie Jaya District Education Office employees. The results of the study on the influence of individual characteristics obtained the value oftcount8,683 greater thantable1,663with a probability of 0.00 less than 0.05, it can be interpreted as individual characteristicshas a partial and significant influence on the performance of the Pidie Jaya District Education Office employees.The results of the study on the influence of the work environment obtained the value oftcount3,894 greater thantable1,663with a probability of 0.00 less than 0.05, it can be interpreted that the work environmenthas a partial and significant influence on the performance of the Pidie Jaya District Education Office employees. From the two variables studied, it is known that individual characteristics play the most dominant role on employee performance at the Pidie Jaya District Education Office.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Indonesian as a unifying language of the nation. Quantitative descriptive research method. Research subjects are selected from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta students and Other Universities as many as 20 respondents. Subjects in this study are taken using a questionnaire distributed online via google form as many as 7 statements. The results show that students agreed with the statement that Indonesian as a national identity as well as a unifying language of the nation and Indonesian language must be preserved as long as the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia is established.

Abstract

Corrective feedback comes as a crucial aspect for majority of students in digital learning especially during this Covid-19 outbreak. As a reason, the students need to receive more information from their own teachers so as to achieve the learning outcomes regarding the material understanding. Based on the statement mentioned, it might be benefits and challenges perceived by the students towards the corrective feedback in the online learning process since the digital learning does not lead them to have learning satisfaction compared to the offline learning with comprehensive learning interaction of classroom activity.  This research was aimed at investigating the benefits and challenges of corrective feedback perceived by the students in the digital learning through the use of Google Classroom. The phenomenology of qualitative study was employed in this study by using interview as the research instrument. Besides, this research was conducted at an Islamic private university in Yogyakarta concerning on Master of English Language Education. The study employed six Master’s degree students of English Language Education who had enrolled in some courses during the digital learning process. Thereupon, the data analysis of this research was conducted by transcribing the interview, applying coding called as open coding, analytical coding, axial coding and selective coding as well as explaining and elaborating research findings in the results and discussion supported by the appropriate theories from the experts. In addition, the researchers had found several findings related to benefits and challenges of corrective feedback perceived by the students in the digital learning. As the benefits of corrective feedback, those were developing writing skill, becoming a guideline for doing the assignments, understanding strengths and weaknesses of writing skill, becoming a habit to write an academic essay, and building grammar understanding in writing skill. Of the challenges in the corrective feedback, those were facing the difficulty to understand the general comments, receiving long duration feedback, providing unequal feedback distribution, giving a limited access for having communication with the lecturers, receiving unclear information towards the feedback content of the writing assignments, providing lack of essay writing examples, and receiving a limited feedback information.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of employee training and development on the performance of the youth education and sports department of Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai. The population in this study were 43 respondents. Data collection techniques in this study are the distribution of questionnaires and questionnaires. The data analysis used in this study were: validity test, reliability test, normality test, multicollinearity test, Heteroskedasticity Scatter Plot test, multiple regression analysis, coefficient of determination test, t test (partial test), hypothesis test 1 (the effect of training on performance) , test hypothesis 2 (influence of development on performance), F test (simultaneous test). The results of this study can be concluded that: Partially training has a positive and significant effect on the performance of the Department of Education and Sports of Labuan Bajo Manggarai Barat, Partially development has a positive and significant effect on the performance of the Department of Education and Sports of Labuan Bajo Manggarai Barat, Simultaneously training and development has a positive and significant effect on the performance of the West Labuan Bajo Manggarai Education and Sports Office employees and the most dominant variable that affects the performance of the West Labuan Bajo Manggarai Education and Sports Office employees is the development variable.
