Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of tolerance, inclusiveness, and balance on students’ attitudes toward religious moderation at SMP Negeri Batang Natal. Religious moderation is a strategic value in character education that fosters a just, balanced, and respectful religious attitude in a pluralistic society. The study employed a quantitative approach with a survey design. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to one hundred students and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that all three independent variables—tolerance, inclusiveness, and balance—have a significant effect on students’ religious moderation. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.999, indicating that nearly all variance in students’ moderate religious attitudes can be explained by these three variables. Among them, inclusiveness contributed the most to religious moderation. These results highlight the importance of embedding values of moderation in secondary education as a means of strengthening students’ religious character in a respectful and harmonious manner

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe State Islamic University Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan adopts a Teoantropoekosentris paradigm, which serves as the epistemological framework, particularly in the implementation of the curriculum at University Boarding School (Ma’had Al-Jamiah). However, the university dormitory curriculum has not fully adopted this paradigm, as evidenced by the program offerings, limited time allocation, and insufficient evaluation of the implemented curriculum. This research aims to develop, describe, and analyse the initial design of a Teoantropoekosentris based curriculum model at University Boarding School, The State Islamic University Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan, as well as to describe and analyse the validity and practicality of this curriculum model's development. The development of the University Boarding School curriculum model, based on the Teoantropoekosentris paradigm, utilizes the ADDIE development model: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research instruments include questionnaires, interviews, and expert feedback. The subjects of this research are students, lecturers, and leaders at The State Islamic University Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan. Experts were involved in evaluating the instruments used and the resulting model. The research results show that the Teoantropoekosentris based curriculum model at university dormitory is deemed practical and effective, with practicality determined by assessments from students and experts. The experts' evaluation of the curriculum shows that the content feasibility in the model development is 87.5% (Excellent), the material content is 84.4% (Excellent), and the language used scores 86.7% (Excellent). Furthermore, students find the Teoantropoekosentris based curriculum practical, with a score of 80.43%. This score is categorized as practical, meaning that students perceive the model as easy and efficient to use. Based on the findings of this research, this model is recommended for use in teaching and learning at University Boarding School (Ma'had Al-Jami'ah), The State Islamic University Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan. Keywords: Curriculum Development, Theoanthropoecocentric, University Boarding School         (Ma’had Al-Jami’ah)

Abstract

This study aims to develop a conceptual model that integrates the principles of good governance with the values of Qur’anic leadership in the effort to transform the quality of Islamic education. In the context of globalization challenges and the crisis of educational leadership, this concept is expected to serve as both a normative and applicative strategy to strengthen the governance of Islamic educational institutions with an emphasis on accountability, participation, and justice. A qualitative-conceptual approach is employed, utilizing literature review on good governance theory, Qur’anic verses on leadership, and contemporary Islamic education literature. The findings indicate that such integration can provide a model of educational leadership that is not only efficient in managerial terms but also deeply rooted in Islamic spiritual and moral values. This study offers a new insight: the principles of good governance can be rearticulated through Qur’anic values, resulting in an educational governance framework that is both systemically effective and grounded in strong moral and spiritual foundations. Practical recommendations include strengthening the leadership capacity of school principals, embedding Qur’anic values in school governance, and implementing value-based management training. This research is limited to a conceptual study without empirical testing. Therefore, future research is recommended to validate the model through field studies across various levels of Islamic educational institutions and to develop integrative-based quality evaluation instruments.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and compare the experiences of Muslims as a minority in the context of multiculturalism in India and Russia. The method used is a qualitative study with a literature review approach to scientific journals, international organization reports, and official statistical data post-2020. The results of the study show that Muslims in India face challenges in the form of social discrimination, sectarian conflict, and political marginalization, while in Russia, the challenges are more related to securitization policies, institutional discrimination, and cultural nationalism. However, both countries also show efforts to maintain cultural diversity through inclusive policies, multicultural education, and the role of civil society organizations. This study provides insights for pluralistic countries in strengthening social cohesion based on multiculturalism.

Abstract

This research develops a quiet book media for preschool children. Character building in preschool children is an important foundation in forming personalities with noble character, caring for others, and having spiritual values. One of the main values is love for God's creatures, which is a holistic part of character building and needs to be stimulated through contextual learning. The age period of 3-4 years is a golden period where children are very receptive to the internalization of these values. Therefore, learning media that is interesting, interactive, and appropriate for children's development is needed. This research aims to develop Quiet Book media as an educational tool for instilling love for God's creation in preschool children. The research uses a Research and Development (RD) approach with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects are playgroup children aged 3-4 years. Data collection techniques include observation and documentation. Validation was conducted by material experts and media experts, as well as practicality testing by teachers. Data analysis includes validity testing (V Aiken), reliability (Cronbach's Alpha), and effectiveness using n-gain test. The research results show that the Quiet Book media: 1) was developed according to media development needs, 2) was declared sufficiently valid by material experts (64.28%) and very valid by media experts (90.62%), 3) was assessed as very practical by teachers (88.46%), and 4) was sufficiently effective from small group (59.0%) and large group (57.6%) test results. Thus, the Quiet Book is suitable for use as a learning medium for the value of love for God's creation in early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of Islamic-based educational games to the social development of early childhood at RA Daarul Hasanah. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving two teachers and twelve children aged 5–6 years from Group B. The findings reveal that Islamic educational games positively influence children’s social competence, including improved social interaction, empathy development, and the formation of Islamic social character. Children became more active in communication, cooperation, and demonstrated honesty, discipline, and responsibility during play activities. Teachers applied a reflective learning approach to help children understand the moral values embedded in each play experience. Theoretically, this study supports Vygotsky’s theory of the importance of social interaction in child development and aligns with Al-Attas’s (1991) concept of insan adabi, which emphasizes character formation through the integration of knowledge, values, and action. Thus, Islamic-based educational games play a crucial role in fostering holistic social and moral development in early childhood.
