Abstract

Education is the need of everyone in this era. Education from time to time always develops in a better direction, such as the implementation of educational democracy in learning that carries the concept of giving students freedom in expressing opinions, expressing objections, and also having equal opportunities without any distinction in terms of ethnicity, race, and class. Abstract

Abstract: Indonesia is a nation that has various ethnic groups, languages, customs and religions. One form of custom or tradition that is still carried out today is the kupatan tradition. The kupatan tradition is practiced by the Javanese people of Plosoarang Village, Sanankulon District, Blitar Regency which is held in the month of Shawwal to express gratitude to God for the blessings given. The implementation of the kupatan tradition contains exemplary values ​​such as the value of multiculturalism. This is what fosters a sense of security, peace, tolerance, mutual cooperation between residents. The writing of this article uses qualitative research with the literature study method in examining the existing problems. In writing this article, it is hoped that the Kupatan tradition which is an ancestral heritage can be preserved because it has multiculturalism values ​​that can be imitated in social life. Abstract

Era milenial telah memberikan dampak yang cukup luas dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, terutama pada generasi muda. Agar generasi muda tidak melupakan nilai kerifan lokal bangsa Indonesia, diperlukan sebuah upaya pengimpementasian pendidikan karakter berbasis kearifan lokal dengan mengambil nilai dari budaya yang memiliki makna mendalam untuk dijadikan sebagai rujukan pendidikan karakter. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni dengan metode kajian pustaka yang diperoleh dari studi literatur dengan membaca dan menelaah beberapa dokumen, data publikasi, artikel jurnal, website resmi dan data informasi yang terkait lainnya. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara reduksi, pengklasifikasian, pemaknaan hingga penarikan kesimpulan suatu tulisan. Untuk menghasilkan generasi milenial yang berintelektual, maka perlu ditanamkan pendidikan karakter agar tidak terbawa arus globalisasi, terutama pendidikan karakter yang berbasis kearifan lokal bangsa Indonesia yang dapat diambil dari budaya Batak, budaya Sunda, budaya Jawa, budaya Madura, dan budaya Bugis untuk diimplementasikan dalam pendidikan formal maupun non-fortmal agar nilai karakter budaya bangsa Indonesia tetap terinternalisasi pada diri generasi milenial serta generasi muda mempunyai karakter dan moral serta generasi kreatif dan inovatif yang tidak melupakan budaya dan adat istiadat bangsa Indonesia.

Abstract

Negara Timor Leste sebagai negara otonom dan berdaulat pada abad ke-21 dengan nama kekuasaannya Republica Democratica de Timor Leste (RDTL). Timor Leste merupakan sebuah negara kecil yang terletak di selatan dan utara daratan Republik Indonesia dan Australia. Sebelum otonomi mereka, Timor Timur (sekarang Timor Leste) memiliki konsisten terjebak dalam perselisihan membuat Timor Timur sulit untuk membebaskan diri dari kemelaratan dan gejolak politik (campur aduk). Artikel ini memaparkan tentang kebebasan Timor Portugis yang mana` masih merupakan penyelidikan antara efek dari revolusi bunga di Portugal, adanya impedansi Indonesia atau keinginan mereka sendiri untuk menjadi otonom. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan historis. Adapun pengumpulan datanya diperoleh melalui study literature. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kemerdekan Timor Portugis bukan hanya efek dari Revolusi Bunga akan tetapi ada campur tangan Indonesia dan tekad yang kuat dari masyarakat Timor Portugis sendiri.

Abstract

Melestarikan budaya menjadi aspek penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat adat karena identik dengan gaya hidup yang masih berpedoman pada adat istiadat setempat. Proses pelestarian budaya pada masyarakat adat tidak terlepas dari peran penting Du’a Mo’an Watu Pitu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran Du’a Mo’an Watu Pitu dalam melestarikan budaya Kula Babong (demokrasi) dan apa saja nilai-nilai budaya yang terdapat pada budaya Kula babong (demokrasi) di Desa Baomekot, Kecamatan Hewokloang, Kabupaten Sikka, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah ketua adat, sekretaris adat, dan tokoh budayawan pada masyarakat etnis Krowe Kabupaten Sikka Nusa Tenggara Timur. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian adalah peran Du’a Mo’an Watu Pitu dalam melestarikan budaya Kula Babong (demokrasi) dilakukan secara langsung yaitu menjaga integritas lembaga adat, melakukan ritual adat, menyelesaikan konflik sosial, dan menegakan keadilan. Nilai-nilai budaya yang terdapat pada budaya Kula Babong (demokrasi) adalah nilai religius, nilai musyawarah-mufakat, nilai kebersamaan, dan nilai keterbukaan. Oleh karena itu, hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Du’a Mo’an Watu Pitu sudah menjalankan perannya secara maksimal.

Abstract

Fast fashion is a concept implemented by clothing retailers, where the direction and strategic goals of the business follow the latest trends with the best response to consumer demand through price. The fast fashion system itself is a system formed because of globalization, and this is what will lead to a culture of consumerism among youth. This study aims to examine globalization’s criticism of fast fashion among Surabaya youth, the causes of Surabaya City youth interested in fast fashion, and solutions to overcome fast fashion, which causes a consumerist culture among Surabaya City youth. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The data collection technique in this study used questionnaires directly, then the data used in this study used primary data while data analysis was carried out using content analysis techniques. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the phenomenon of fast fashion for the youth of Surabaya City led to a culture of consumerism. To reduce the pattern of consumerism, it must be instilled in young people about what things to buy according to needs, not a desire because from this desire arises a passionate desire to style according to trends.

Abstract

The Siraman Sedudo tradition is a tradition that has existed since ancient times, which is carried out from generation to generation once a year in the month of Suro. This study aims to examine the portrait of the Siraman Sedudo tradition and analyze this tradition from the perspective of Max Weber’s social action theory. The method used is a qualitative research method. Collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. Sources of data obtained from informants who are directly involved with implementing the Siraman Sedudo tradition, documentation from books and scientific journals that support research. This research focuses on implementing the Siraman Sedudo ritual for the local community in Ngliman Village, Sawahan District, Nganjuk Regency, which is basically the goal and what they want to achieve from following the siraman tradition is analyzed using four kinds of social action theory from Max Weber, namely: action traditional, value-oriented action, goal-oriented action, and affective action. This study found that in carrying out the siraman ritual it has a meaning that is expected to bring blessings to an individual who takes part in the ritual's implementation. From the findings of this study, it is hoped that the community can preserve their traditions to maintain the diversity that exists in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of mobile legends games on student enthusiasm and interest in learning. The author raises this theme because of the rise of mobile legends games among students, with active users in Indonesia of approximately 34 million users. This study uses a quantitative method. The results of the research carried out obtained an average variable point for the level of enthusiasm and interest in learning among users of the mobile legends game for FIP 2021 students, namely 17.3 in the interval 16 - 19.9 and are in fewer qualifications. The average variable points that often delay assignments because playing mobile legends is 34.6 at intervals 31-36 and is in sufficient qualification. And from the results of the simple linear regression test it shows a value of Sig 0.002 <0.005 and Sig 0.000 <0.005 so it can be concluded that the variable delay in completing assignments and enthusiasm and interest in learning has no effect on the variable use of the mobile legends of FIP 2021 students.

Abstract

This study determines the perceptions of first-year students towards hybrid learning during the drastic decline of Covid-19 cases. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods conducted by first-year students from the Journalism Study Program at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta. The results revealed that there were 4 subscales with positive perceptions including preparation for the Covid-19 pandemic (99%), academic adjustment (92%), social change (62%), institutional attachment (86%), and 1 subscale with negative perceptions, namely personal-emotional adjustment (73%). The conclusion from the results of the study is that of the five subscales, respondents’ perceptions refer to positive values. Although there is one subscale that has a high negative perception. Respondents can prepare and adjust themselves to learn with hybrid learning method. However, respondents need self-awareness regarding their mental and physical health.

Abstract

This study discusses the causes of juvenile delinquency and the role of character education in dealing with juvenile delinquency. This study aims to enrich scientific knowledge in relation to the concepts of character education for adolescent development and to find out the motives that cause character decadence for adolescents. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that examines the prevention of juvenile delinquency. The informants of this study were 58 heads of families in Liliriaja Village. Data collection techniques used are documentation, observation, and interviews. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis, using data percentage tabulations. The results; first, juvenile delinquency in Liliriaja Village occurs because of several factors, namely the development of science and technology which gave birth to globalization, uncontrolled association among adolescents, Islamic because of weak families, low exemplary in social life, and so on; second, Islamic education emphasizes students to always increase faith in Allah Swt., increase taqwa awareness, social awareness, intellectual awareness, individual awareness, and so on, in carrying out their duties and functions as human beings.
