Abstract

The research aims to develop PowerPoint media for teaching decimal and whole numbers to fifth-grade elementary school students. This study is a development research utilizing the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research was conducted at grade V in SD Negeri Sendangguwo 02 Semarang. Data collection tools included validation sheets and student questionnaires, with the analysis technique employing descriptive statistical analysis. The subjects of the study were fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Sendangguwo 02. The data obtained were qualitative and then converted into quantitative data. The results of the study indicate that the developed media is highly feasible, with validation percentages of 94.4% from media experts, 93% from content experts, 87.5% from practitioners, and 95.8% from student responses.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the perceived benefits of microteaching in increasing the competence of elementary school teachers in pedagogical and personality aspects (Study of Unmus-UNY PPG Students). This is a quantitative descriptive research. The subjects of this research were active students who took part in Micro Teaching lessons at PPG Unmus-UNY, students who had completed the Microteaching course and elementary school principals as well as elementary school teachers who were certified as Teachers in the city of Merauke, with a total of approximately 30 respondents. The sampling technique uses purposive random sampling. Primary data is processed using simple statistics. Data collection was carried out in the form of FGD activities and the data was collected using a questionnaire which distributed via Google Form. The instrument used to obtain research data was by filling out a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative analysis. The type of scale used to measure data is the Likert scale. The results of this research found that the benefits of Microteaching for PPG–Unmus students provide great benefits in increasing competence in pedagogical and personality aspects. Most students, 75%, stated that they agreed with the benefits they received, while 0% said they disagreed.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of learning outcomes of grade II elementary school students in Mathematics through the direct instruction model on the material of time units. The study adopted Classroom Action Research (CAR) with four (4) stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of the study were 44 grade II students of Elementary School 1 Lembursawah, consisting of 24 female students and 20 male students. Data collection tools used repeat tests and observations. The data analysis technique used was the recapitulation of students' pretest and posttest scores from cycles I and II. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the direct instruction model can improve Mathematics learning outcomes of grade II students. It can be seen from the students' completeness in cycle I of 68% increasing to 84% in cycle II. It means that student learning outcomes increase gradually from cycle I to cycle II by 16%. Therefore, direct instruction model can improve students' understanding of the content of time units in the Mathematics subject of grade II elementary school.

Abstract

Integrated thematic learning is learning that is packaged in themes based on the integrated learning content. The aim of this research is to develop Augmented Reality-based Booklet media in order to further improve critical thinking skills of class III elementary school students. This research applied the research and development (R&D) method with ADDIE model which consists of 5 steps, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The instruments in this research are observation, interviews, tests and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The research results of this study can be seen from the average results of media experts for Augmented Reality-based Booklet media getting 4.95 which is stated "very feasible", the assessment of material experts getting 4.46 which is stated as "very feasible", and the assessment of language experts getting 4.4 which is stated "very decent". Based on the effectiveness of the media, teachers' responses received an average of 4.8 which was stated "very effective" while the pre-test and post-test results of class 3 students using the N-Gain test received an average of 0.87 in the "high" category. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that research and development of augmented reality-based booklet media can improve the critical thinking skills of third grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Twenty-first century learning prepares future generations to acquire the skills necessary for the modern era. In this learning process, information and communication technology (ICT) serves as a tool or media to achieve a learning process which emphasizes the 21st century skills students must develop, particularly through the implementation of ICT-based learning media. This study aims to investigate the utilization of ICT media in learning activities, the challenges in using ICT media during the learning process, and the 21st century skills outcomes of students after implementing ICT-based learning media. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, collecting data in the form of words and images. The study involved 19 participants, consisting of one (1) school principal, two (2) fourth-grade teachers, and 16 fourth-grade students at SDIT Mumtaz Al-Bantani. The results indicate that the use of ICT-based learning media in educational activities has been effective, and the utilization of ICT media as a learning tool has successfully improved students' 21st century skills.

Abstract

Hasil pengamatan diketahui bahwa siswa kurang aktif ketika pembelajaran mengakibatkan tingkat kreativitasnya dikategorikan masih rendah. ketika pembelajaran guru masih menggunakan metode ceramah hendaknya guru menggunakan model pembelajaran yang cocok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil dari pengaruh model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dengan memanfaatkan limbah plastik untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa kelas V SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif jenis pre eksperimental dengan one grup pretest posttest. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi angket, wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi. Populasi pada penelitian ini meliputi seluruh siswa kelas V SD 3 Padurenan dengan jumlah 14 siswa. Nilai rata-rata pretest 74,99 dan nilai rata-rata posttest 85,23 mengalami kenaikan sebesar 10,24. Hasil Uji Paired Sample T-Test memperoleh hasil signifikasi 0.00 < 0,05. Hasil uji N-Gain memperoleh hasil 0,41 termasuk kategori sedang. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu tedapat peningkatan kreativitas yang signifikan antara sebelum dan setelah menggunakan model Project Based Learning. Kesimpulannya adalah penerapan model Project Based Learning dengan memanfaatkan limbah plastik berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa kelas V SD.

Abstract

This research starts from the fact that there are still children who are impolite, like to lie, make noise in class, and come late to school. In fact, at an early age, children are accustomed to receiving superior values such as ethics, morals and discipline. This research aims to describe the value of early childhood education based on picture stories at TK Negeri 1 Sintang. This research applied descriptive  research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were determined using a purposive sampling technique. The research subjects consisted of teachers and students’ parents of TK Negeri 1 Sintang. Data collection in this research was carried out by observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques involved data reduction, categorization, display/presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that teachers and parents really need their role in educating, guiding, applying life values to children, getting children accustomed to living life values so that in the future these values are internalized in children. The implementation of value life education in TK Negeri 1 Sintang includes religious values, responsibility, cooperation, discipline, care, appreciation, joy and patience. The obstacles in implementing value life education is that parents have not been able to support students' life value education at home because there are still parents who do not apply these life values because they are busy on working. Although some are as expected. Teachers play a very important role in supporting this program because teachers are examples, but as ordinary people, teachers sometimes lack of patience to educate children.

Abstract

Inclusive education at the basic education level is very important in order to optimize the development of children with special needs according to their potential. However, the implementation of inclusive education at the basic education level still experiences many problems. The aim of this research is to describe the results of research related to the implementation of inclusive education at the basic education level. The method applied in this research is a literature review of articles in Indonesian and English in 2019-2023 sourced from the Google Scholar search site, scopus.com and ERIC. Through an inductive analysis approach, a match of data was found related to the implementation of inclusive education in elementary schools so that 15 relevant articles were selected. The data analysis procedure was carried out based on a qualitative approach. Research findings show that inclusive education can be implemented at the basic education level by involving all elements of education and the school community to be able to provide education and services to children with special needs so that they can develop based on their potential and socialize normally with their peers in regular schools. The new path or recommendation which can be implemented is that implementing inclusive education at the basic education level requires dedication from all elements of education and the school community to create comfortable and friendly education for children with special needs.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe thematic learning in forming the Pancasila Student Profile by knowing the planning, implementation and knowing the learning assessment tools in forming the Pancasila Student Profile. This study uses an illuminative evaluation model, with data sources coming from four Elementary Madrasah in Sintang Regency. The data were qualitative data collected through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Triangulation of techniques and sources is used to ensure the validity of the data. The results of the analysis of learning carried out at class IV in four (4) Elementary Madrasah in Sintang Regency in forming the Pancasila Student Profile found 1) Each Madrasah has a learning planning formulation consisting of a syllabus document and a Learning Implementation Plan. The syllabus document adopts the formulation issued by the Education and Culture Office or downloaded via the internet; 2) The learning implementation process at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Sintang Regency is carried out based on the characteristics of each Madrasah while still adhering to the syllabus. Some Madrasah use Dhuha prayer as an opening activity, some use Tahfidz activities as routine activities in the morning. The implementation of the three stages in learning in general is carried out well; 3). The critical reasoning aspect according to Bloom's taxonomy theory has not been reflected in the learning assessment tools which are prepared or used by teachers.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to assess the effectiveness of two learning approaches, namely reading and watching videos, in increasing understanding the concept of electricity generation of sixth grade elementary school students. A comparison of two groups was carried out, namely the experimental group and the control group, each group consisting of 21 students. This comparison is based on their scores before and after the test. These findings show substantial improvement in the experimental group, measured by posttest scores ranging from 44 to 100 and a mean of 75.23. Meanwhile, the control group showed a lower increase, with posttest scores ranging from 28 to 68 and an average of 47.04. Mann-Whitney test analysis strengthened these findings by showing significant differences between the two groups (U= 49.500, Z= -4.399, Asymp. Sig= 0.001), with the experimental group consistently having higher ratings. Wilcoxon test findings in both groups also highlighted a significant improvement at posttest, with no decrease on scores from pretest. Overall, these results provide strong support for the effectiveness of the video listening method in improving student understanding compared to the reading method. This conclusion illustrates the importance of using inventive pedagogical approaches to improve students' academic achievement on science in the context of basic education.
