Abstract

The aims of this study were to describe: planning, implementation and evaluation of ecoprint implementation using pounding techniques in the foundational phase (5-6 years) at TK  Santa Maria Sintang. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and document. The subjects in this study consisted of four teacher and fourty one students of B1 and B2 is at foundational phase. The data analysis technique used was Miles and Huberman's data analysis. The results of the study show that: planning for implementing ecoprint using the pounding technique begins with holding a meeting first between teachers and parents, watching videos on YouTube about ecoprint using the pounding technique to increase knowledge and provide equipment for ecoprint activities; The implementation of ecoprint using the pounding technique was carried out for 2 weeks starting from asking parents to prepare 3 leaves related to local wisdom such as paku kubuk (nephrolepis exaltata), sabang merah (cordyline fruticosa) and several leaves around the student's residence as well as joint ecoprint project practice activities between teacher and student; The evaluation of the implementation of ecoprint using the pounding technique is that the ecoprint project using the pounding technique was successfully implemented by TK Santa Maria Sintang and the results of the ecoprint project were displayed at the driving school's P5 expo and during the visit of the Director General of GTK to TK Santa Maria Sintang.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of parenting styles self regulated  and mathematics learning outcomes for grade IV students at Suster Singkawang Elementary School. The research was carried out using a quantitative approach. The population in this study were fourth grade students at SD Suster Singkawang with a sample of 92 students. The data collection tools used were questionnaires to determine parenting patterns and learning independence, as well as mathematics learning achievement tests. Data analysis was carried out by testing the effect using analysis of variance. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, authoritarian and democratic parenting styles do not have an influence on self regulated because the significance value obtained is more than 5%, while permissive parenting styles have an influence on self regulated with a sig value of <5%. Meanwhile, authoritarian, democratic and permissive parenting styles have a positive influence on students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the activity of elementary school students using the Project Based Learning model in learning science in Class IV MI Muhammadiyah 6 Sekapuk. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The research was conducted at MI Muhammadiyah 6 Sekapuk. The subjects in this study were 3 grade IV students. Data collection techniques in this study using data triangulation. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis techniques which include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research and discussion obtained by the researcher show that when the teacher applies the Project Based Learning model, the activity of the students increases because they like the existence of the project learning model, which makes them more active and do not tend to be silent during learning. Student K has fulfilled 3 of the 7 indicators of student activity, Student I has fulfilled 4 of the 7 indicators of student activity, and Student A has fulfilled 6 of the 7 indicators of student activity. Of the 7 indicators of student activity, the indicator for student participation in the implementation of learning tasks is the indicator that is most mastered by students.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of inquiry setting animated videos to improve elementary school students' science process skills. This type of research is a quasi-experiment carried out at elementary schools in Pringgabaya sub-district, East Lombok. The data collection method for science process skills is obtained through observations made by students which are developed through LKPD. The data analysis technique was carried out using inferential statistical analysis using the Anava test. This research obtained results that animated videos of inquiry settings were more effective in improving science process skills compared to conventional learning. This is reinforced by the ES value of 4.131 in the high effectiveness category. These results recommend that animated videos with inquiry settings are good to apply to improve the science process skills of elementary school students in Pringgabaya District, East Lombok.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the results of students' cognitive ability tests in grade 4 science subjects at SDN Nongkodono Ponorogo which were at a low level. Through the pre-cycle stage, the result was that 60% of the cognitive abilities of grade 4 students had test scores that had not reached the minimum completeness criteria. The purpose of this research is to improve science learning outcomes with the help of project-based learning models. The research approach used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) by adopting the Kemmis and Mc Taggart models. Data collection techniques used are observations and tests. While the data analysis used descriptive qualitative and descriptive comparative. The research implementation lasted for 2 cycles with two meetings in each cycle. Based on the results of research that has been carried out in cycle I, the percentage of completeness has increased by 30% to 70%. While in cycle II the percentage of completeness increased by 30% to 100%. Therefore it can be concluded that the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model can improve science learning outcomes in grade 4 elementary school students.

Abstract

This research is based on the government's efforts to foster a culture of literacy with the establishment of the School Literacy Movement "Gerakan Literasi Sekolah" (GLS) program where this program apart from cultivating a literacy culture also utilizes the library as a learning resource. Therefore this study aims to determine the teacher's role in the use of the library as a learning resource to support literacy culture at SDN Pancanegara schools for fifth grade students which is carried out by teachers, especially fifth grade teachers at Pancanegara Elementary School. This research uses a qualitative type, where the researcher as the main instrument through direct research with a naturalistic approach. This research consists of two stages, namely the preliminary stage and activity development/preliminary stage consisting of reference and field studies to obtain accurate information about the research problem. The development stage includes development activities and validation of research data collection. Data collection has been validated to be used for data collection. The results of the study show that the most important thing is the teacher's role in the process of learning activities that support the literacy culture shown by the teacher in the elementary school.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Scrapbook learning media product with a "question word" design to train advanced reading skills in Theme 2 Subtheme 1 Learning 1 class IV elementary school material. The place of research was carried out at Sentul 4 Serang State Elementary School. The subjects of this development research is grade IV. The research model used is the Research & Development model which has been modified with 6 steps, i.e, analyzing potential and problems, collecting data, designing product designs, validating product designs, revising product designs, and product trials (limited trials). Researchers collected data using preliminary study techniques, interviews, observation, questionnaire collection and documentation. This scrapbook media has passed the validation stage by six experts by getting an overall score of 86.6 in the very worthy category. The overall score was obtained from an average accumulation of 84% for media experts, 84% for language experts and 92% for material experts with a very decent category from the three expert assessments. The trial was carried out on class IV students by collecting questionnaires and getting a satisfaction score of 97.8% in the very good category. It can be concluded that the development of scrapbook media with a "question word" design to train advanced reading skills is declared feasible for development and use by fourth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe reading and writing difficulties, factors that cause reading and writing difficulties, as well as teachers' efforts to help students who experience reading and writing difficulties in high grades in grade IV students at SDN Bojong Baru. The research was carried out using a qualitative approach with the subjects being fourth grade students at SDN Bojong Baru. Data was collected through observation, documentation and interviews. Data analysis is carried out through data reduction, display and verification. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the forms of reading and writing difficulties in students with learning difficulties in high grades are disfluency in reading, errors in reading, deficiencies in visual memory, difficulty understanding sound symbols, illegible writing, late writing, missing or inverted letters and error in holding a pencil. The factors for difficulty in reading and writing are internal factors including hereditary factors, interest in reading and writing factors and motivation factors, while external factors include existing facilities at school and the family environment or where students live. Efforts made by teachers when dealing with students who have difficulty reading and writing, namely by providing remediation, using various learning media and reading and writing learning programs for students who are not yet fluent in reading and writing, especially in high classes, must be held in every school.

Abstract

The development of learning tools aims to facilitate students to design innovative learning activities by utilizing the results of analysis of problem-based, literacy and HOTS teaching materials. Project-Based Learning is aimed at improving high-level thinking skills, understanding problems and strengthening literacy. This classroom action research describes increasing the regulatory abilities of PPG students in using Project Based Learning (PjBL). This research was carried out in two cycles. The research results show that Project Based Learning (PjBL) model learning through the Learning Management System can improve the regulatory abilities of Teacher Professional Program (PPG) students. In the first cycle, the achievement of indicators of student regulatory success reached the quite good category with a percentage of 71%. In the second cycle of action, PPG students' regulatory abilities increased to the good category with a percentage achievement of 76%. It can be concluded hat self-regulation abilities to increase and be consistent, the implementation of Project Based Learning can be carried out in three cycles and reinforced with various learning topics in the Learning Management System (LMS). This effort is important with a focus on improving aspects of self-regulation capabilities, namely deepening essential questions, strengthening plans and implementation of HOTS-based projects.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the feasibility of learning animation videos using powtoon in improving HOTS abilities at SD Negeri Rawu Serang and to determine students' high-level thinking abilities (HOTS) after learning using powtoon in class V. The research was carried out using research and development methods using 5 steps according to ADDIE consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The data analysis techniques in this research are validation questionnaires, pretest and posttest. Based on the results of the feasibility test analysis, validation from all expert teams obtained a score of 87.25. The results of students' mastery of the development of HOTS-based Powtoon learning video learning media are through two stages using pretest and posttest. Learning activities with pretest results obtained were 54.3. After students learn using Powtoon media, students' grades increase. After taking the Posttest, a percentage was obtained with a score of 92.3. Therefore, it is concluded that animated learning video media using Powtoon can improve students' ability to think at a higher level or higher order thinking skills (HOTS).
