Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic's profound impact on the global economy and Indonesia's growth necessitates innovative solutions. This study investigates the efficacy of the syirkah maza'arah business model for fostering microeconomic growth and accelerating economic recovery. Through a qualitative case study approach, the research examines the implementation of the syirkah maza'arah theory in the context of D'Durian Park, an agribusiness in Jombang. The park operates under a cooperative system between landowners and managers, contributing to a balanced profit-sharing mechanism. The study offers insights into the applicability of this Islamic business concept in rejuvenating economies, particularly in times of crisis, and highlights its potential for wider adoption. Highlight: Global Economic Impact: This study addresses the far-reaching consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on the global economy and Indonesia's growth, emphasizing the need for innovative solutions. Abstract

This study investigates the impact of price perception and distribution channels on purchase decisions within the context of small-scale tofu enterprises. Employing a quantitative approach, the research population comprises 100 consumers, with a sample size of 85 who have made purchases. Utilizing simple random sampling, the findings reveal significant effects of both price perception and distribution channels on purchase decisions, shedding light on crucial factors that shape consumer choices in the realm of small-scale tofu enterprises. Abstract

This study focuses on a culinary business in Tanjungpinang City, investigating the application of a business model canvas for UMKM Fortunate Boba, renowned for its signature boba-topped cold beverages. With the aim to enhance competitiveness amidst similar ventures, qualitative analysis employing the business canvas model approach was conducted through interviews with UMKM Fortunate Boba's owner. The results of the Business Model Canvas (BMC) analysis unveil strategic utilization of social media platforms like Facebook and TikTok, e-money transaction systems, and collaborations with delivery services such as Go-Jek and Maxim to streamline order deliveries. This research underscores the practical implementation of a business model canvas to optimize the operations of UMKM Fortunate Boba, highlighting key strategies for thriving in the competitive culinary market. Highlight: UMKM Enhancement: This study examines the application of a business model canvas for UMKM Fortunate Boba, specializing in boba-topped cold beverages, to enhance competitiveness in a competitive culinary market. Abstract

This research delves into the pivotal role of the control environment as the bedrock of internal control, shaping the organization's culture and structure. By encompassing integrity, ethical values, organizational structure, human resource policies, and management practices, the control environment significantly influences fraud occurrences. This study aims to explore how the control environment contributes to fraud detection and prevention. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, the research probes into human perceptions and experiences, shedding light on the intricate interplay between control environment elements and fraud mitigation efforts. Abstract

This quantitative study aims to analyze the influence of Cost Leadership Strategy and government-led innovations on business performance through SME partnerships in the Food and Beverage sector. Conducted in the Sidoarjo district of Indonesia, with a population of 49 SME groups, the research utilized a saturated sampling technique and employed a structured questionnaire to gather data. Using SEM PLS analysis, the results indicate that the Cost Leadership Strategy accounts for 44% of the business performance variance, while innovation through partnerships drives an impressive 86% impact on business performance. The findings underscore the significance of strategically fostering sustainable business performance, highlighting the role of the government in supporting SME partnerships to achieve growth and efficiency in the global marketplace. Abstract

This quantitative research explores the optimization of omnichannel banking strategies in conventional Banks in East Java, Indonesia. With a focus on 17 member Banks from the Indonesian Banking Association in the Sidoarjo region, this study aims to analyze the impact of online services (64%) and pricing decisions (34%) on the sustainability of omnichannel initiatives. By connecting all marketing channels on a unified platform, Banks can deliver consistent customer experiences, fostering exceptional closeness and satisfaction leading to enhanced loyalty. However, the lack of awareness among customers about the top management's applied strategies poses a serious challenge in this program. The implications of diverse information, as well as online service and pricing decisions, play a crucial role in the success of the Omnichannel Banking program. The findings of this research provide valuable insights for global scientists and practitioners seeking to leverage omnichannel strategies for sustainable customer engagement in the banking sector. Abstract

This research investigates the influence of brand image and price on consumer satisfaction in the context of cosmetic purchasing decisions through the Shopee application. Employing a quantitative approach with a causal research design, a sample of 100 respondents was chosen using purposive sampling. Path analysis was employed to analyze the data with the help of appropriate test instruments. The findings reveal that both brand image and price significantly affect purchasing decisions, which, in turn, impact consumer satisfaction. Surprisingly, while brand image did not directly influence consumer satisfaction, price had a direct effect on it. Furthermore, the study demonstrated that price significantly influences consumer satisfaction through purchasing decisions. The implications of these results provide valuable insights for businesses aiming to understand consumers better and optimize their marketing strategies in the highly dynamic landscape of online shopping. Abstract

This study investigates the determinants of income smoothing in Indonesian manufacturing firms listed on the stock exchange during 2016-2021. The research examines the impact of Institutional Ownership, Managerial Ownership, Return on Assets, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Ln Total Sales on Income Smoothing using binary logistic regression analysis. The findings reveal that Institutional Ownership, Managerial Ownership, and firm size significantly influence income smoothing, while Financial Leverage and Profitability do not exhibit significant effects on Income Smoothing. These results contribute to the understanding of income smoothing practices and hold implications for corporate governance and financial reporting practices in emerging markets. Abstract: This research examines the influence of self-control levels among civil officials in relation to their investment planning intentions, considering the importance of effective financial management for future income and expenses. Utilizing purposive sampling, data from 77 respondents were collected through a questionnaire. The study employs Smart PLS software and partial least squares (PLS) analysis to test hypotheses. The findings underscore the significance of technology readiness and unveil implications through a SINTA-ranked journal publication, national seminar article, and intellectual property rights. As financial aspirations persist among individuals, especially those with families, many remain hindered by financial constraints. This study underscores the urgent need to address these challenges, offering insights for informed financial decision-making and goal realization. Abstract

This study addresses the escalating competition in the mushroom seed market, particularly in East Java, where producers strive to bolster customer loyalty through product quality and after-sales service enhancements. Employing an explanatory research approach, 100 respondents were purposively sampled to assess the impact of product quality and after-sales service on customer loyalty for Nilam Jamur Jombang. Data was collected using questionnaires and analyzed through SPSS software. Results highlight a significant positive influence of both product quality and after-sales service on customer loyalty, emphasizing the potential for heightened loyalty with improved product quality and enhanced post-purchase support. This research contributes valuable insights for businesses seeking to thrive in a competitive market environment.
