Abstract

The main purpose of entrepreneurship learning in vocational schools is to provide students with opportunities to live independently and work to generate income. Entrepreneurship education fosters the development of learners' creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. However, although entrepreneurship has long been taught in schools, there is still debate about its effectiveness. Entrepreneurship programs in vocational schools have not been able to educate students to have the desired entrepreneurial attitudes, personalities, and abilities, thus hindering vocational school graduates from meeting community needs or becoming entrepreneurs. This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the importance of educational philosophy influencing students' entrepreneurial interest in supporting entrepreneurship education. The research method used is a literature review to analyze and synthesize literature to increase student interest in entrepreneurship at SMK. The role of lecturers in providing learning and motivation is very important. In addition, empirical interest in entrepreneurship can be increased by developing a learning model with a constructivist and critical approach, and this approach can help increase awareness and entrepreneurial spirit among college graduates so that, in the end, it will give birth to a new generation of entrepreneurs who are more enthusiastic and potential.

Abstract

This study aims to delve into and explore the meaning of the epiphany of the other's face in the context of sexual violence against women, utilizing Emmanuel Levinas' philosophy as the primary theoretical foundation. The research will investigate how Levinas' concept of the epiphany of the face can offer new insights and provide a profound understanding of the phenomenon of sexual violence against women. Employing a Literature Review method with a qualitative approach, this study aims to examine Levinas' concept of the face and apply it to the reality of sexual violence against women. Levinas underscores the importance of ethics as the basis for human relationships, particularly through the concept of the face as the gateway to understanding the uniqueness and dignity of each individual. Building on this issue, the author finds that the epiphany of the other's face can provide deeper insights into the uniqueness of women who are victims of sexual violence, emphasizing the ethical responsibility to actively engage in protecting and defending victims of sexual violence. Furthermore, the significance of subjective involvement and responsibility highlights the need for personal engagement in humanitarian relationships. The phenomenon of sexual violence against women paints a troubling picture of the existence of a woman's face. The presence of the other's face (women) that should be considered as the encounter between the "Self" and the "Other" has been reduced to an object of violent actions.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse Paulo Freire's philosophy of education, especially the philosophy of problem-oriented education, and its relevance to the project of strengthening the student profile of Pancasila. This research seeks to find the meaning contained in Freire's philosophy of education through an in-depth interpretation of the implementation of an independent curriculum in Indonesia. The method used is library research with a hermeneutic approach. The results show that Freire's problem-based educational philosophy emerged as a response to bank-style education in Brazil. According to him, bank-style education is narrative, passive, oppresses society and has an impact on the culture of silence. Problem-based education focuses on teaching students to see the problems around them and to analyse them in order to find solutions. Freire's philosophy of problem-based education provides relevance for the implementation components of the Pancasila Learner Profile Strengthening Project, namely: the project must be problem-based, learner-centred, contextual, dialogical and exploratory.

Abstract

The climate change issues due to greenhouse gas emissions and the emergence of Quantum Machine Learning technology have sparked various studies in utilizing quantum machine learning (QML) to predict greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). This article aims to illustrate research related to the implementation of QML for GHG emission prediction from the perspective of the philosophy of science, particularly in terms of the scientific revolution from Thomas Kuhn's perspective, research program analysis from Imre Lakatos' perspective, pseudoscience pitfalls, potential biases of injustice, ethical and moral aspects, and their impact on society. The article is structured using a qualitative descriptive method. Reference sources include original articles and review articles from journals collected from the Scopus database with topics related to GHG emission prediction. Based on the review of the articles, it can be outlined that research on QML for GHG emission prediction is a progressive science currently in the phase of intensive exploration and development, where the research paradigm in this area is dominated by logical positivism and pragmatism. However, over time and with the development of the research context, new paradigms may emerge as additions or even replace existing research paradigms. The article also identifies the potential biases of injustice, ethical and moral aspects, and the impact of research in this field on society, recommending five strategies to avoid pseudoscience pitfalls related to research on QML for GHG emission prediction.

Abstract

The Hypatia of Alexandria was an expert in philosophy, mathematics, and astronomy during the ancient Roman civilization. Her figure epitomizes an intelligent, resilient, and brilliant woman. The increasing dominance of religious influence during Hypatia's era strengthened, gradually sidelining the scientific knowledge she initially disseminated. Hypatia's role in building civilization through the advancement of knowledge eventually came to a halt when she was deliberately murdered by a highly fanatic group adhering to Church teachings and the Christian religion. Hypatia's life in the ancient Roman civilization portrays the conflict between science and the interests of certain parties. Regardless of the significant influence of women in developing scientific knowledge, if the truth embraced by others is fanatical and disregards existing facts, knowledge becomes futile. This article discuses Hypatia's journey and role in building civilization in ancient Roman times through the development of scientific knowledge while examining Hypatia's character from a feminist perspective. The research methodology employed is a literature review. The researcher conducted a search for relevant journal articles through Scopus and Google Scholar. Keywords entered into the search engine include "Hypatia of Alexandria"; Hypatia AND Philosophy; Hypatia AND Feminism; Hypatia AND Knowledge. Hypatia played a significant role in building the civilization of knowledge in ancient Roman times, proving that the role of women in building civilization through the development of scientific knowledge is a notable

Abstract

Postmodernism is a critique of modern society and its failure to fulfill its promises. Marriage in the view of modernism is considered to still have shortcomings that must be corrected, the view of postmodernism is generally known as the antithesis of modernism. This research aims to find out the application of the concept of marriage in the view of postmodernism. This research is a type of library research. The main source used in this research is the book Postmodernism by Akhyar Yusuf Lubis. The results obtained show that the source of postmodernism is relativism, the method used is deconstructive and anti-objective interpretation, its validity is the rejection of a single narrative, recognition of the role of power in the formation of knowledge, or understanding that meaning is contextual and can change over time. Deconstruction in the context of postmodernism refers to an analytical approach to texts and concepts that aims to discover and expose their contradictions, uncertainties and ambiguities. Marriage before the era of postmodernism was characterized by strong social structures, strong norms, and a traditional understanding of the institution of marriage. Marriage in the era of postmodernism includes: strong individualism, a break from traditional norms, a plurality of values, the importance of communication, flexibility in roles, the importance of consent and agreement.

Abstract

This article is a study in the field of philosophy that seeks to trace the meaning and usage of the word "anu" from the perspectives of the three main branches of philosophy, namely metaphysics, epistemology, and axiology. The researcher employs a literature review method by examining various previous studies on the usage of the word "anu" in society and also the theories of the three main branches of philosophy. The material object, which in this case is the word "anu," is then examined from the perspectives of the three main branches of philosophy. Based on the conducted research, it is known that the word "anu" does not meet the requirements as the most universal concept, as does the word "ada." The set of words "anu" is highly limited by the level of knowledge of the users and also the norms of politeness. On one hand, this word is in line with what Wittgenstein conveyed in the theory of language games, but on the other hand, in terms of universality, the existence of the word "anu" is questioned by two metaphysical streams, namely realism and nominalism, both of which agree not to accommodate the word "anu." The word "anu" cannot be a universal predicate inherent in objects and also contradicts the particular principle of nominalism.

Abstract

This research delves into the profound search for the meaning of life behind suffering in the light novel Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu or Re: Zero by Nagatsuki Tappei, using the existentialist philosophy of Viktor Frankl. In a world grappling with social issues like the N.E.E.T. phenomenon, where many individuals are not in education, employment, or training, the author asserts that understanding the meaning of life is crucial, especially for teenagers. This article employs qualitative research methods, specifically literature review methods, which use literature as a foundation for data collection. The findings reveal that the analysis of the novel Re: Zero through Viktor Frankl's lens unveils the unwavering attitude of Natsuki Subaru, the protagonist, in his quest to find meaning in suffering, a perspective applicable to all. Natsuki Subaru's character can also serve as a beacon of inspiration, particularly for teenagers, in navigating life's hardships by fostering an optimistic outlook in the face of adversity.

Abstract

The scientific integration paradigm is not immediately accepted and has good implications at the UIN level in PTKI. So many problems that arise in its application so this study aims to; analyze the history of PTKI in Indonesia as an effort to discover a developing scientific paradigm; analyze how the anomaly of thought began to occur; describe how the new paradigm developed and; know the implications of that paradigm. This study uses literature studies to construct analytical narratives. Thomas Khun taught about the meaning of paradigm, even though his big idea was to criticize the doctrinal truth of science. In this case the view of religious knowledge cannot be forced at all in reflecting the paradigm of scientific integration. However, Lakatos was able to offer the concept of a "Research Program" to review that religious scholarship is absolute hardcore and must be protected by falsification. Wrapped in the Protective Belt as another scientific analogy, it can be seen how the implementation of religious-based scientific integration is simply illustrated in Lakatos's philosophy.
