Abstract

The Antenatal Care (ANC) service's success is seen from the coverage of K4, which is the number of pregnant women who have obtained ANC services with a minimum of four times the recommended schedule in each trimester during pregnancy. The achievement of K4 coverage at Tarus Health Center in the last three years has not reached the national MSS target (95%), which is 71,86% (2017), 77,63% (2018), and 65,48% (2019). This study aimed to determine the factors associated with the ANC (K4) visit in pregnant women in the Tarus Health Centre's working area. The type of research is an analytical survey using a cross-sectional design with a sample of 75 people and conducted in August-September 2020. The statistical test used is the Chi-Square test. The results showed that the related variables were the knowledge level (p=0,000), maternal attitude (p=0,006), service accessibility (p=0,035), and exposure to media information (p=0,000). Unrelated were husband support (p=0,291) and attitude of health workers (p=0.870). Health Centers should give regular counselling, supported by printed media, electronic media, and other media information that can increase pregnant women's participation in using ANC (K4) services. The public is expected to be involved.

Abstract

Kelor plants may be an alternative to a potential source of protein and calcium to satisfy the need for nourishment in pregnant mothers and infants. Food diversification can be made by making foods that contain high calcium from the calcium intake contained in fish bones. Pregnant women are one group that is very at risk of experiencing malnutrition. During pregnancy, the need for nutritional intake increases, but it is not balanced with the consumption of sufficient nutritious food. Kelor-processing development with the addition of fish bones may be an alternative to the treatment of nutrient deficiency problems mainly in pregnant mothers and infants. This study aims to determine the effect of adding Moringa leaf flour with tembang fish bone meal to the physicochemical properties and acceptability of biscuits. The research conducted was an experimental study using factorial completely randomized design (CRD), namely conducting an experiment in making biscuits with wheat flour as a base ingredient by adding Moringa leaf flour and fishbone meal with treatment levels of 0%, 10%, 20% and 30%. The results showed that the addition of Moringa leaf flour with tembang fish bone meal had an effect on calcium (p=0,00), phosphorus content (p=0,00), moisture content (p=0,520), ash content (p=0,00), hardness test (p=0,152), taste (p=0,00), aroma (p=0,00) and texture (p=0,043), and had no effect on color (p=0,743) acceptability. For further researchers it is recommended to continue further research with other nutritional content related to meeting the nutritional needs of pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and infants as well as all circles of society.

The highest prevalence of CHD in Indonesia reached 2.650.340 cases of which NTT took the highest number with 137.130 cases. CHD is caused by modified and unmodified factors. Poor dietary patterns such as consuming high amount of carbohydrate, fat, and cholesterol will negatively affect the body and this can be a risk factor for CHD. Education and occupation can also be associated with the health condition. This study aims to analyze the relationship beetween dietary patterns, history of comorbidities, education level and occupation with CHD at Prof W. Z. Yohannes Kupang Hospital in 2020. This research was a case control study. A total sample of 80 was selected that consisted of 40 cases and 40 controls. Data analysis used descriptive and bivariate with chi-square test. Variables associated with CHD were dietary patterns (p=0,029; OR 0,103), history of hypertension (p=0,022; OR 3,316), and history of dyslipidemia (p=0,000; OR 7,909), while history of diabetes mellitus (p=0,094), level of education (p=0,959), and occupation (0,216) were found unrelated with the disease.
