Abstract

Wabah covid-19 telah merubah kebiasaan manusia, termasuk bidang pendidikan. Kondisi ini menyebabkan perubahan cara berkomunikasi diantara orang tua dan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perilaku komunikasi orang tua dan anak selama sekolah online, serta untuk mengetahui hambatan dan solusi selama sekolah online. Konsep yang digunakan adalah perilaku komunikasi. Metode penelitian studi kasus. Informan penelitian 5 orang tua yang mempunyai anak sekolah online dan 5 anak yang sedang mengikuti sekolah online. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi serta dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Temuan penelitian ini yakni: perilaku komunikasi yang dilakukan orang tua dan anak selama sekolah online adalah komunikasi verbal dan non verbal. Sedangkan hambatan yang dihadapi selama sekolah online adalah tidak memiliki hp android, tidak mempunyai paket data, jaringan internet tidak stabil, tidak melek teknologi, anak-anak tidak memahami materi yang dikirimkan guru, dan anak-anak kurang fokus saat belajar. Sedangkan cara mengatasi hambatan tersebut adalah orang tua mengambil materi pelajaran dan tugas di sekolah, membeli hp android, berusaha melek teknologi, orag tua berusaha menjelaskan materi yang belum di pahami oleh anak, dan anak berusaha bertanya pada teman, guru dan mencari informasi di internet, serta orang tua selalu berupaya mendorong anak-anak tetap fokus belajar.Kata Kunci: Perilaku Komunikasi, Orang Tua dan Anak, Sekolah OnLine

Abstract

This study aimed to provide an overview of the diet of students during the COVID-19 pandemic, socioeconomicstatus, the physical activities undertook the practiced COVID-19 prevention behavior, and student health.The sample size obtained was 253 participants, who were new students for the 2020/2021 academic year.Structural equation modeling was used for statistical analysis. Students could access nutritious food, but itwas not followed by regular daily exercise. Students were also found to have good COVID-19 preventionbehavior, for example using masks, washing hands, and coughing and sneezing etiquette, but only 41% ofstudents had sufficient rest or sleep.Students have a good level of health, despite lacking physical activities.COVID-19 preventive behavior and socioeconomic status indirectly had an impact on student health. Theright policies are necessary to improve student health.

Abstract

This research aimsto know the bioactive compound content of Moringa leaves and seeds so that later it can be developed as a candidate for anticancer drugs. The extraction process results showed n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol extract levels in the Moringa leaves, respectively; 11.38%; 25.56%, and 40.1%. TheLC50valuesoftheethylacetateextractofMoringaleavesandseedswere127.95 ppm and 117.52 ppm. Furthermore, the LC 50 values of the ethanol extract of Moringa leaves and seeds were 34.58 and 60.69 ppm. The levels of bioactive compounds of the ethyl acetate extract of Moringa leaves and seeds were 137.5 ppm and 6.5 ppm. Based on the anticancer activity test results, all extracts of both Moringa leaves and seeds have potent anticancer activity (<1000 ppm). The n-hexane extract and the ethanol extract of Moringa leave from Kupangcan be developed as ananticancer.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the media used in obtaining health information about COVID-19 and the reasons for choosing the media. The theory used is Information-seeking Behavior. This research is qualitative with the phenomenological method. The informants were 38 people who were selected based on the purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out utilizing in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique is Creswell’s data analysis in phenomenological research. The results showed that the media used to find health information about COVID-19 were printed mass media (newspapers, magazines, and tabloids), electronic media (television, radio), and internet media. Meanwhile, choosing the media was due to the ease of accessing existing media and the diversity of information obtained.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is quantitative research, with the method used is correlational. The sampling technique uses Convenience Sampling with a total sample of 409 subjects. Subjects in this study were teenagers who played Facebook in the past year with an age range of 13-22 years. Data analysis using Sperman Rank test. The results of Sperman's correlation between Facebook addiction and self-esteem point to -.0.242 with a significance value of 0,000. the significance value obtained is 0,000 <- 0,242, then there is a significant relationship between the research variables. Because the correlation coefficient number is negative, the correlation is inversely proportional. The higher Facebook addiction the lower self-esteem of teenagers in Kupang or the Lower Facebook Addiction the higher self-esteem in adolescents in the city of Kupang.Keywords: Self-Esteem, Facebook, Facebook Addiction, Teenagers

Abstract

Phubbing is a behavior or act of ignoring someone in the scope of the social environment by focusing on smartphones instead of paying attention to the interlocutor when interacting so that it affects interpersonal relationships. This study aims to determine the effect of phubbing behavior and the quality of friendship among students of the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Nusa Cendana Kupang. This research method uses quantitative research with a simple linear regression analysis design. The number of samples was 100 students of the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Nusa Cendana Kupang. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The results of this study indicate that the significance value (sig) is 0, 033 <of 0.05 and the value of t count> t table is -2.162> 1.984. This means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted that there is a negative effect of phubbing behavior on the quality of friendship among students of the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Nusa Cendana Kupang.

Abstract

Adolescence is a time with various opportunities of conflict. Conflict could be happen if adolescents have a different value of life with adult as parents, siblings, or society. Conflict that allowed to happen might be ensued an identity disorder, mental illness, and issue of quality of life. Adolescents’ quality of life related with subjective well-being. Subjective well-being is an individual’s subjective evaluations about him/her whole life. The aim of this research was described adolescents’ subjective well-being with a military family background in koramil dormitory. Participants of this research were three adolescents. Research methodology that used was qualitative with data collection techniques were semi-structure interview and un-structure observation. The results of research discovery that three participants were achieve their life satisfaction especially by their domain life satisfaction as family, peer group-community and education achievement. Furthermore participants have experienced many positive emotion, and lack of negative emotion in their presence life too.

Abstract

Adolescence is a very important and critical part of an individual's development. This is because, in the stages of adolescent development, it is often marked by an identity crisis which causes an adolescent to be very vulnerable to conduct behavior that is not following prevailing norms and rules, such as deviant behavior. Adolescents who are found guilty according to the applicable law will be placed and fostered at the Special Development Institution for Children (LPKA) and referred to as Correctional Students (Andikpas). After serving a criminal period, adolescent ex-prisoner will come out and live again in society. However, this is not easy due to environmental resistance and the difficulty of carrying out social reintegration. On the other hand, this brings its lessons for adolescent ex-prisoners so that they can be grateful by seeing life more positively. This paper will discuss the different and unique overview of life gratitude of ex-prisoner adolescents. The discussion is hoped to be able to provide knowledge related to the gratitude of life and adolescent ex-prisoners.

Abstract

Family is one of the most important parts of society. In the family all come from. All teachings and habits that will be done in the community are learned in the family. Therefore, in order to function properly in the community of course must start from the family. Life in the family is very important and greatly affects a person in interacting. Various problems that occur in the family that interfere with the wholeness and harmony in the family will make the family have problems. One of them is divorce or in the living death that results in a woman having to perform various roles in her family. Starting from taking care of children, providing a good parenting pattern and also replacing her husband's role as a leader and breadwinner in the family are all taken expertly by the mother. The purpose of this study is to find out the pattern of single mother's foster care towards the reflection of adolescent personality in Maulafa Village. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data retrieval techniques using purposive sampling techniques. So the researchers managed to gather 9 participants (3 participants Single Mother, 3 participants Adolescent children from each Single Mother, and 3 Significant orders from each participant).

Abstract

Mapping the spread of disease patients with the Geographic Information System (GIS) is very helpful in providing information on the location of who comes for treatment at the hospital. This research was conducted on all breast cancer patients who were recorded in the medical records of 2017-2019 at Prof. W.Z. Johannes General Hospital Kupang. This research is an analytic observational with a cross-sectional study approach, using a Geographic Information System (GIS) modeling through spatial analysis to obtain an overview of the distribution of breast cancer based on epidemiological variables. Based on the results of research on breast cancer from 2017 to 2019 at Prof. WZ Johannes General Hospital Kupang according to the host epidemiology variable was based on age in highest are between the age of 51 and 60 with 18 patients in total; based on the education level is highest, there are 112 patients in a total of Senior High School graduate; based on the occupation in highest, there are 81 patients worked as Civil Servant, according to the highest time variable in 2019, there were as many as 91 cases, followed by 83 total cases in 2018, and there were as many as 74 cases in 2017.
