Abstract

 This study aims to explore the impact of Islamic workplace spirituality on the achievement of educational quality in madrasahs, both directly and indirectly through basic psychological needs satisfaction and autonomous motivation. The results of the measurement model evaluation indicate that all research variables have excellent reliability and confirmed validity. Meanwhile, the structural model shows that Islamic spirituality does not have a direct effect on educational quality achievement, but it positively influences it through autonomous motivation and psychological needs satisfaction. The variable of psychological needs satisfaction is found to be the most influential mediator in enhancing educational quality. These findings support the JD-R and SDT theories, suggesting that Islamic spirituality functions as a personal resource affecting performance. This research also emphasizes the importance of integrating spiritual values in human resource management in madrasahs to enhance educational quality. Future development directions include exploring spiritual practices in daily education and the relationship between spirituality and teachers' professional development.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh spiritualitas Islam di tempat kerja terhadap pencapaian mutu pendidikan madrasah, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui kepuasan kebutuhan psikologis dan motivasi otonom. Hasil evaluasi model pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa semua variabel penelitian memiliki reliabilitas yang sangat baik dan validitas yang terjamin. Sementara itu, model struktural menunjukkan bahwa spiritualitas Islam tidak berpengaruh langsung terhadap pencapaian mutu pendidikan, namun memberikan pengaruh positif melalui motivasi otonom dan kepuasan kebutuhan psikologis. Variabel kepuasan kebutuhan psikologis terbukti sebagai mediator yang paling berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Temuan ini mendukung teori JD-R dan SDT, serta mengusulkan bahwa spiritualitas Islam berfungsi sebagai sumber daya pribadi yang mempengaruhi kinerja. Penelitian ini juga menegaskan pentingnya integrasi nilai-nilai spiritual dalam pengelolaan sumber daya manusia di madrasah untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Arah pengembangan lebih lanjut mencakup eksplorasi praktik spiritual dalam pendidikan sehari-hari serta hubungan antara spiritualitas dan perkembangan profesional guru.

Abstract

Islam is not only a religion but also an identity for its believers. The fact that Islam is an identity made it subject to ongoing reinterpretation and reconstruction based on the context by certain actors. Therefore, through this article, the author aims to examine the mobilization of Islamic identity within the context of the Coldplay concert rejection by The 212 Alumni Brotherhood (PA) and other Islamist groups with aligned ideologies. This qualitative study, based on library research from journals, books, and media reports, applies historical and political approaches to analyze Islamic identity mobilization in Indonesia, focusing on data surrounding the Coldplay concert rejection within recent political contexts. The author finds that the rejection phenomenon is the result of the contestation of Islamic identity that has been contested in Indonesia and the strengthening of political Islam identity. Indications of strengthening this identity can be seen from the rise of identity politics in the general elections in recent years. And finally, the author concludes that the rejection of the Coldplay concert is an effort to mobilize Islamic identity as the majority in Indonesia, which in turn has contributed to causing discriminatory actions against minority communities.AbstrakIslam bukan hanya agama, tetapi juga identitas bagi para pemeluknya. Fakta bahwa Islam adalah identitas menjadikannya terus mengalami reinterpretasi dan rekonstruksi berdasarkan konteks tertentu oleh para aktor tertentu. Oleh karena itu, melalui artikel ini, penulis bertujuan untuk mengkaji mobilisasi identitas Islam dalam konteks penolakan konser Coldplay oleh Persaudaraan Alumni 212 (PA) dan kelompok Islamis lain yang memiliki ideologi sejalan. Penelitian kualitatif ini, berdasarkan studi pustaka dari jurnal, buku, dan laporan media, menerapkan pendekatan historis dan politis untuk menganalisis mobilisasi identitas Islam di Indonesia, dengan fokus pada data terkait penolakan konser Coldplay dalam konteks politik terkini. Penulis menemukan bahwa fenomena penolakan ini merupakan hasil kontestasi identitas Islam yang terus diperebutkan di Indonesia serta penguatan identitas politik Islam. Indikasi penguatan identitas ini terlihat dari meningkatnya politik identitas dalam pemilu beberapa tahun terakhir. Akhirnya, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa penolakan konser Coldplay adalah upaya mobilisasi identitas Islam sebagai mayoritas di Indonesia, yang pada gilirannya turut berkontribusi terhadap tindakan diskriminatif terhadap kelompok minoritas.

Abstract

This article analyzes primary and secondary education reform in Muhammadiyah by applying the five learning organization disciplines proposed by Peter Senge, namely systems thinking, personal mastery, mental models, shared vision, and learning teams. As one of the largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia, Muhammadiyah plays an important role in developing Islamic education by integrating religious knowledge and modern knowledge. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method to analyze the application of the Senge discipline in Muhammadiyah education management and its impact on learning effectiveness. The research results show that systems thinking enables holistic management of education, paying attention to the interconnections between elements of the education system. The development of personal mastery for teachers and staff is carried out through continuous training to improve pedagogical and spiritual competence. Mental models are changed to be adaptive to the challenges of globalization and digitalization. A shared vision ensures alignment of organizational goals across educational institutions while learning teams encourage collaboration for learning innovation. The implications of educational reform based on Senge's five disciplines have increased Muhammadiyah's ability to face the challenges of modern education. This research recommends further study of the application of this discipline in contemporary Islamic educational institutions. AbstrakArtikel ini menganalisis reformasi pendidikan dasar dan menengah di Muhammadiyah melalui penerapan lima disiplin organisasi pembelajaran yang dikemukakan oleh Peter Senge yakni berpikir sistem, penguasaan pribadi, model mental, visi bersama, dan tim pembelajaran. Sebagai salah satu organisasi Islam yang besar di Indonesia, Muhammadiyah berperan penting dalam pengembangan pendidikan Islam dengan mengintegrasikan ilmu agama dan pengetahuan modern. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode kajian pustaka untuk menganalisis penerapan disiplin Senge dalam manajemen pendidikan Muhammadiyah serta dampaknya terhadap efektivitas pembelajaran. Hasilnya penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem berpikir memungkinkan pengelolaan pendidikan secara holistik, memperhatikan interkoneksi antar elemen sistem pendidikan. Pengembangan penguasaan pribadi bagi guru dan staf dilakukan melalui pelatihan berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogis dan spiritual. Model mental diubah untuk adaptif terhadap tantangan globalisasi dan digitalisasi. Visi bersama menjamin keselarasan tujuan organisasi di seluruh lembaga pendidikan, sementara tim pembelajaran mendorong kolaborasi untuk inovasi pembelajaran. Implikasi reformasi pendidikan berbasis lima disiplin Senge ini telah meningkatkan kemampuan Muhammadiyah dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan modern. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengkajian lebih lanjut tentang penerapan disiplin ini di lembaga pendidikan Islam kontemporer.

Abstract

The transformation of the agricultural system that occurred in the Jungpasir Village community cannot be separated from the religious principles contained in moral values and religious ethics in agricultural practices. This research aims to determine the process of social transformation that occurred in the Jungpasir Village community, especially in its agricultural system. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Meanwhile, the data collection methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of research conducted, the process of transformation of the agricultural system is caused by the relationship between allocative resources in the form of modernization and authoritative resources owned by farmers. This transformation in the agricultural system has had a significant impact on the people of Jungpasir Village. Such as the need for farmers to adapt to agricultural system technology, changes in the work structure in agriculture, especially in the rice harvest process, the marginalized role of women in the modern agricultural system, the emergence of new production relations and social classes in society, the existence of new religious rituals, and changes in society's perspective to a more leads to economic production patterns in agriculture. AbstrakTransformasi sistem pertanian yang terjadi pada masyarakat Desa Jungpasir tidak terlepas dari prinsip-prinsip kegamaan terdapat pada nila moral dan etika agama dalan praktik pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses transformasi sosial yang terjadi pada masyarakat Desa Jungpasir, terutama pada sistem pertaniannya. Adapun metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kulitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Sedangkan metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah observasi, wawancara serta dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, proses terjadinya transformasi sistem pertanian disebabkan karena adanya hubungan dari sumber daya alokatif berupa modernisasi dengan sumber daya otoritatif yang dimiliki oleh petani. Transformasi dalam sistem pertanian tersebut telah memberikan dampak yang signifikan bagi masyarakat Desa Jungpasir. Seperti perlunya petani beradaptasi dengan teknologi sistem pertanian, berubahnya struktur kerja dalam pertanian terutama pada proses panen padi, termarjinalkannya peran perempuan dalam sistem pertanian modern, munculnya relasi produksi dan kelas sosial baru di masyarakat, adanya ritual kegamaan baru, serta berubahnya cara pandang masyarakat yang lebih mengarah pada pola produksi ekonomi dalam pertanian.

Abstract

The study purposes are to describe the learning process using information and communication technology to increase early childhood multiple intelligences. Technology cannot be separated from our lives thesedays, so researcher want to see how the technology help to increase multiple intelligences in the PAUD Halimatus Sa’diyah Kudus. The multiple intelligences are Logical-Mathematical Intelligences, Linguistic-Intelligences, Interpersonal Intelligences, Visual Spatial-Intelligences, Musical Intelligences, Bodily-Kinaesthetic Intelligences, Intrapersonal Intelligences, naturalist Intelligences, and existential Intelligences. This Multiple Intelligences reaches the top of the grow, when they are in the golden ages, in early childhood time. The research method used Qualitative research. Researchers interview The Headmaster, the teacher and the parents. The result are teachers use cell phones in their studies, teachers also use laptops to teach gymnastics and video stories according to the themes they are taught. The barrier to this research is that the equipment used is not yet provided by the school. The device is still the personal property of the teacher. Besides, children who is allowed to use their parents' cell phones at home, they will try to borrow teacher’s gadget. When the teachers teach them how to use gadget in perfect time, they will use to with these rules and learn calmly.AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan proses belajar menggunakan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan majemuk di masa kanak-kanak. Teknologi tak bisa lepas dari kehidupan saat ini, maka peneliti ingin melihat bagaimana teknologi tersebut bisa membantu meningkatkan kecerdasan majemuk di PAUD Halimatus Sa’diyah Kudus. Kecerdasan majemuk yang ingin dikembangkan adalah kecerdasan logis matematis, kecerdasan linguistik, kecerdasan interpersonal, kecerdasan visual spasial, kecerdasan musikal, kecerdasan kinestetik, kecerdasan intrapersonal, kecerdasan naturalis, kecerdasan eksistensial. Kecerdasan majemuk ini mencapai tingkatan maksimal saat dikembangkan di usia emas saat mereka adalah anak usia dini. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. Para peneliti melakukan wawancara dengan Kepala Sekolah, guru dan orang tua. Hasilnya adalah guru menggunakan gadget dalam studi mereka, guru juga menggunakan laptop untuk mengajar gimnastik dan cerita video sesuai dengan topik yang diajarkan. Kendala untuk penelitian ini adalah bahwa peralatan yang digunakan belum disediakan oleh sekolah. Peralatan masih menjadi milik pribadi guru. Selain itu, anak-anak yang terbiasa dengan rumah diizinkan untuk menggunakan gadget orang tua mereka maka disekolah, mereka akan berusaha meminjam gadget guru mereka. Dengan mengajari tentang bagaiman aturan penggunaan gadget dan bagaiman mempergunakan gadget sesuai dengan kebutuhan, membuat anak-anak terbiasa patuh pada aturan tersebut dan mereka bisa belajar dengan tenang.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze differences in students' understanding of religious moderation by gender and the influence of this understanding on attitudes toward religious tolerance. The study used a quantitative approach with a non-test questionnaire instrument that had been tested for validity and reliability, involving students from UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi as respondents. The results showed differences in the level of understanding of religious moderation between male and female students, as well as a positive relationship between understanding of religious moderation and students' attitudes of religious tolerance. These findings confirm that understanding of religious moderation plays a significant role in shaping attitudes of tolerance in higher education. Scientifically, this study contributes to filling a gap in the study of religious moderation by presenting a gender perspective that has been underrepresented in previous research, and it strengthens the argument that strengthening religious moderation is a strategic factor in managing student religiosity in a multicultural society.

Abstract

In the modern era, the role of parents in their children's education has become increasingly complex and multifaceted. Scholars have made various studies regarding aspects, methods, processes, and educational objectives based on verses in the Al-Qur'an holy book. However, no research has been found on the pedagogical implications of the Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Maidah verse 104 regarding the role of parents towards childhood education. This study aims to determine parents' role in children's education according to Islamic education and the pedagogical implications of Surah Al-Maidah verse 104. This research is library research. Primary data were taken from the interpretation by Buya Hamka, Ibnu Katsir, and Ismail Haqqi Al-Buruswi, and secondary took from relevant Islamic education articles. The researcher acts as an instrument in this study. Collected the data by inventorying relevant literature titles, selecting the reading, examining, and classifying the reading results. Data analysis was performed by processing, categorizing, interpreting, and concluding. The results of the study show that parents act as educators, mentors, and role models for their children. Furthermore, to educate with sharia, to set a good example uswah, to educate in avoiding taqlid, teaching with knowledge, and to reprimand and remind are found as the pedagogical implications of QS. Al-Maidah verse 104. However, The specific context of this study restricts its generalizability to only parents' roles, based on the opinions of interpreters. Furthermore, a more comprehensive study could have been conducted for another research that empirical testing of the pedagogical implication of QS Al-Maidah 104 by utilizing a wider range of sources with diverse interpretations, and bolstered by numerous literary works to capture a wider range of perspectives.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the efforts to cultivate moral character and enhance students’ level of religiosity through the pesantren (Islamic boarding school) program at MTs. Al-Ikhlas Margorejo Pati, using social and psychological approaches. The background of this research is based on the phenomenon of deviant behaviors among madrasah students, such as truancy, disrespect toward teachers, bullying, and negligence in performing obligatory religious practices. The pesantren program was initiated as a solution for religious character education and the strengthening of moral values. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of the head of the madrasah, pesantren caregivers, teachers, and students. Analysis using Michel Foucault’s theory of power relations reveals that the process of moral and religious cultivation occurs through mechanisms of discipline, supervision, and the internalization of religious values. The pesantren environment functions as a social space that produces religious subjects through productive power relations among caregivers, ustadz (religious teachers), and santri (students). From a socio-psychological perspective, the pesantren serves as an arena for identity formation and emotional balance during adolescence. The study recommends that the pesantren management model be integrated with the formal education system as an effective strategy for shaping students’ religious character amid the challenges of globalization.

Abstract

The increase in suicide, violence, and sexual harassment cases among university students reflects a psychological and moral crisis in higher education. This condition indicates unresolved inner conflicts, which often lead to destructive behavior. This phenomenon raises fundamental questions about how understanding and internalizing religious values can serve as an internal solution to strengthen students' mental, ethical, and spiritual resilience in facing challenges on campus. This study aims to examine the relationship between religiosity and social behavior of university students located in the Surabaya and Sidoarjo areas. Social behavior in this study covers four main aspects: empathy and social concern, cooperation, tolerance, and responsibility. This study uses the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method to analyze the paths between constructs through the SMART-PLS application. The results show that religiosity has a significant positive influence on all aspects of social behavior. This finding confirms that the higher the level of religiosity of students, the higher the positive social behavior they exhibit in campus life and society. Thus, properly internalized religious values can serve as a strong foundation for developing caring, tolerant, cooperative, and responsible individuals. These findings are expected to provide a deeper understanding of the role of religion in shaping students' social behavior and serve as a foundation for character development programs in higher education.

Abstract

Contemporary culture has brought significant changes in various aspects of people's lives, including the field of religion. In the Islamic context, Contemporary  is an important topic because it must be adapted to be relevant to current socio-cultural conditions. The purpose of this study is to understand how Contemporary  can be applied in the process of character building of Islamic students through an anthropological lens. This research provides a theoretical contribution in understanding the relevance and flexibility of Contemporary  in the context of character building of young Muslim generations. This research uses a qualitative method with in-depth interview techniques to scholars, Islamic religious teachers, and some Muslim teenagers as the main subjects. Data were collected through field observations, analysis of relevant documents, and examination of classic texts of modern . Data analysis was done thematically to find patterns and concepts that develop in the implementation of Contemporary  in character education. The result of this study is that the integration of contemporary  in character education can produce a young generation of Muslims who have a strong character, broad-minded, and are able to face the challenges of the times. contemporary  has enormous potential to become a foundation in the development of character education for Islamic students. Through an anthropological perspective, we can see how complex the interaction between tradition and modernity is in shaping Islamic character education.AbstrakBudaya kontemporer telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakat, termasuk bidang agama. Dalam konteks islam Fiqh Kontemporer menjadi topik penting karena harus diadaptasi agar relevan dengan kondisi sosial budaya saat ini. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk memahami bagaimana Fiqh Kontemporer dapat diterapkan dalam proses pembentukan karakter pelajar Islam melalui lensa antropologis. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis dalam memahami relevansi dan fleksibilitas Fiqh Kontemporer dalam konteks pembentukan karakter generasi muda Muslim. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam kepada para ulama, pengajar agama Islam, dan beberapa Pelajar Muslim sebagai subjek utamanya. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi lapangan, analisis dokumen terkait, serta pemeriksaan teks-teks klasik fiqh kontemporer. Analisis data dilakukan secara tematik untuk menemukan pola-pola dan konsep-konsep yang berkembang dalam implementasi Fiqh Kontemporer dalam pendidikan karakter. Hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa integrasi Fiqh kontemporer dalam pendidikan karakter dapat menghasilkan generasi muda Muslim yang memiliki karakter yang kuat, berwawasan luas, dan mampu menghadapi tantangan zaman.  kontemporer memiliki potensi yang sangat besar untuk menjadi landasan dalam pengembangan pendidikan karakter pelajar Islam. Melalui perspektif antropologi, kita bisa melihat betapa kompleksnya interaksi antara tradisi dan modernitas dalam membentuk identitas religius seseorang. Penelitian ini memberikan panduan praktis bagi lembaga pendidikan Islam dalam mengintegrasikan Fiqh Kontemporer ke dalam pendidikan karakter.
