Abstract

Purpose: The community service program (PKM-BR) aims to enhance public awareness and engagement in preserving historical artifacts from the Majapahit Kingdom, focusing on the Kutho Kedawung Site in Paleran Village. It seeks to motivate individuals to understand and protect cultural heritage within their locality. Method: The program involves socialization activities conducted by students to educate and involve the community in preserving cultural heritage. It includes pre-activity assessments, evaluations during activities, and post-activity assessments to document information about Kutho Kedawung, utilizing both oral traditions and data. Practical Applications: The research results encourage community involvement in safeguarding historical sites, highlighting the significance of preserving cultural heritage. This can lead to greater appreciation and protection of historical artifacts, contributing to the conservation of cultural heritage for future generations. Conclusion: The study underscores the importance of community engagement in preserving historical artifacts, particularly within the context of the Majapahit Kingdom. It emphasizes the practical implications of enhancing public awareness and involvement in cultural heritage preservation efforts.

Abstract

Purpose: This research addresses the impact of COVID-19 on micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Pasar Lama RT 01, Banjarmasin. It aims to overcome the lack of technological knowledge hindering MSMEs' growth by providing training on internet-based computerized systems for sales promotion. Method: The study employs a structured training approach, starting with explanations of computerized systems and internet utilization's effectiveness in sales promotion. Participants engage in practical sessions under team guidance, with a question-and-answer format for issue resolution. Practical Applications: By equipping MSMEs with technological skills, this research enhances their resilience and competitiveness in the face of pandemic challenges, offering practical benefits for businesses in various contexts. Conclusion: This study emphasizes the importance of technological adaptation for MSMEs, underscoring internet-based systems' role in bolstering sales promotion and business sustainability amidst crises.

Abstract

Purpose: This study investigates the impact of household waste management education on Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) prevention in Murtigading, Bantul. It highlights the significance of improper waste disposal as a risk factor for dengue transmission. Method: Educational lectures were conducted for residents in targeted areas (Ngentak, Pucanganom I, Trisigan I). Data on community knowledge of waste management were collected and analyzed to assess the intervention's effectiveness. Practical Applications: The findings inform public health efforts to prevent DHF by improving community awareness of proper waste management. Similar education programs can enhance disease prevention and community health.Conclusion: Community knowledge regarding waste management remains insufficient, highlighting the ongoing need for education and awareness initiatives. Continued efforts to improve community understanding of proper waste disposal practices are essential in combating dengue transmission and reducing the incidence of DHF.

Abstract

Purpose: This program in Tanjung Sawit Village aims to enhance village potential and empower the community through academic involvement and technological support. It utilizes information technology for effective promotion. Method: By employing participatory research methods involving academics and locals, data is gathered through surveys, interviews, and observations and then analyzed for insights. Practical Applications: The program yields tangible results, including a village profile, online promotion tools, and improved governance. It fosters community skills and empowerment, exemplified by the formation of oil palm farming groups. Conclusion: The collaborative effort demonstrates the value of academia-community partnerships in rural development. Leveraging technology and community engagement can address local challenges and promote inclusive growth, serving as a model for broader development strategies.

Abstract

Purpose: This study explores the use of information technology in Indonesian Neighborhood Associations (RT), focusing on RT 32 in Sempaja Timur Village. It investigates how a village website enhances community engagement and promotes local SMEs, contributing to smoother governance processes. Method: Employing qualitative methods, including interviews and document analysis, the study examines the development of the village website. Thematic coding identifies key themes related to community participation and economic empowerment. Practical Applications: The findings inform community development practitioners, policymakers, and technologists about the benefits of digital platforms for participatory governance and economic growth in similar contexts. Conclusion: Leveraging information technology can empower communities, as seen in RT 32's case. Digital platforms facilitate communication, economic activities, and community cohesion, offering insights for grassroots development efforts.

Abstract

Purpose: This study underscores the importance of work preparation before entering the workforce, focusing on personal branding and skills crucial for professional success. Addressing Babakan Banten Hamlet residents' need for work readiness awareness, it guides youth in crafting effective CVs and job application letters. Utilizing mixed methods, qualitative interviews, and quantitative surveys assess community needs and program efficacy perceptions. Method: Community engagement involves workshops for 17 to 22-year-olds. Data collected through observation and surveys assesses training effectiveness. Practical Applications: This research empowers participants for better job market entry, improved job application outcomes, and potentially higher youth employment rates, contributing to community growth. It also informs similar community development approaches. Conclusion: This activity strives to prepare Babakan Banten Hamlet's youth for the workforce through essential skills training. Its potential impact on employability and community well-being underscores the importance of targeted engagement in addressing specific challenges.

Purpose: This abstract explores the importance of digital marketing for entrepreneurs in Babakan Banten, emphasizing the need to transition from conventional methods to a digital approach. Method: The study employs presentation-based socialization and Q&A sessions to equip entrepreneurs with digital marketing knowledge and skills, focusing on social media, online shops, and related platforms. Practical Applications: This research aims to equip entrepreneurs with the understanding and practical implementation of digital marketing techniques, including leveraging social media, online shops, and other supporting platforms. Doing so addresses the need to adapt to the business world's digital age. Conclusion: This socialization initiative serves as a bridge to help entrepreneurs in Babakan Banten embrace and apply digital marketing strategies effectively. It offers them the opportunity to harness the power of technology to grow their businesses, showcasing the potential for sustainable growth in a digital era.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to investigate productivity issues among productive-aged students in Babakan Banten within the context of Industry 4.0. It highlights the importance of self-management skills in meeting modern demands. Method: Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, combining surveys, interviews, and observations, this study examines the behaviors and self-management practices of students. Data were analyzed using statistical techniques to identify trends. Practical Applications: Findings inform tailored interventions for educators and policymakers to promote self-management skills. Community leaders can use insights to develop support systems for students, fostering holistic development. Conclusion: Self-management skills are crucial for addressing productivity challenges. This study provides insights for effective interventions, enabling students to thrive in the competitive landscape of Industry 4.0. Ongoing investment in such initiatives is essential for youth success.

Purpose: This research investigates the relationship between economic factors and incidences of sexual harassment and violence, highlighting the potential repercussions of economic downturns on crime rates. It emphasizes the necessity of economic sector enhancement, bolstered by skilled human resources, to mitigate these issues and foster job creation. Method: The study employs community service activities to reduce violence and enhance human resources, particularly in barista skills. Utilizing socialization and training techniques, it examines the impact of marketing psychology on identifying market opportunities for community economic development. Practical Applications: The findings offer insights into addressing social issues through economic empowerment, enhancing employability skills, and fostering community economic growth. Implementing these strategies can contribute to crime prevention and socioeconomic advancement. Conclusion: Economic stability and skill development are crucial in combating violence and promoting community welfare. This research underscores the significance of integrating economic initiatives with social interventions to address multifaceted societal challenges effectively.

Abstract

Purpose: This study explores the underutilization of backyard land in Gajah Village for horticultural cultivation, focusing on vertical farming techniques. It addresses knowledge gaps in optimizing backyard space and producing organic fertilizers and pesticides from household waste. Method: The research adopts a participatory approach involving coordination, socialization, surveys, interviews, and practical training sessions. Counselling on vertical farming, Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) production and botanical pesticides is provided. Practical Applications: The study's findings empower the community to enhance food security, income, and environmental sustainability through sustainable vegetable production. It informs policy interventions for promoting grassroots-level sustainable agriculture. Conclusion: This research emphasizes community empowerment and skill-building to address agricultural challenges. Optimizing backyard land and promoting organic farming practices contributes to resilient and sustainable agriculture, leveraging local resources for improved livelihoods.
