Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this community service program (PKM) is to enhance the accounting competency of employees at the Inkopad cooperative. This is achieved by addressing the gap in their understanding and application of financial accounting standards, specifically the Entity Without Public Accountability (ETAP). Method: This PKM activity employs a training approach to improve the accounting competency of Inkopad cooperative employees. The training spans over three days and utilizes counseling and case resolution methods to provide a comprehensive understanding of ETAP-based accounting. Practical Applications: This PKM serves a dual purpose. Firstly, it assists cooperative employees in preparing financial reports in accordance with ETAP financial accounting standards. This enables stakeholders to make strategic decisions based on accurate financial information. Secondly, it serves as a practical application of Tridharma PT, an academic activity that allows lecturers and students to apply and share their theoretical knowledge with the community. The outcomes of this PKM will also be utilized in campus learning, thereby bridging the gap between theory and practice. Conclusion: The results of this PKM indicate that through the three-day training using counseling and case resolution methods, participants were able to significantly improve their accounting competency based on SAK ETAP. This suggests that such training programs can be effective tools for enhancing accounting competency in cooperative employees.

Abstract

Purpose: The primary aim of this study was to address the issue of stunting, a form of chronic malnutrition affecting children’s growth and development. This problem is influenced by various factors, including child characteristics and socio-economic conditions. The lack of knowledge about stunting among village residents necessitated an intervention to provide insight and education. Method: Students from Riau University’s KKN program collaborated with the Sungai Pinang Village Posyandu to conduct stunting prevention outreach activities. These activities were designed to educate parents, particularly mothers, about the importance of adopting a healthy and clean lifestyle. In addition to these outreach activities, the students implemented a program called “Motorbike Taxi for Healthy Children’s Food”. This program aimed to provide examples of nutritionally balanced food menus beneficial for children’s growth and development. Practical Applications: The practical application of this study lies in its potential to increase community awareness about stunting prevention and healthy food menus. By providing practical examples and education, the residents of the village can make informed decisions about their children’s nutrition. Conclusion: The desired outcome of these activities is a community that has sufficient knowledge about stunting prevention and healthy food menus. The hope is that village residents will no longer feel unfamiliar with the concept of stunting and will know how to prevent it. Furthermore, they will be able to provide healthy food for their children, contributing to the overall reduction of stunting in the community.

Abstract

The aim is for UMKM to understand their tax obligations, namely registering, recording, calculating, depositing and reporting (5M) taxes as well as taking advantage of tax incentives provided by the government for business actors affected by the after Covid-19 pandemic. The incentive given to UMKM players is by reducing the PPh (Final PPh) rate to 0.5% of total turnover, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) No. 23 of 2018. The method used in this activity is to create a Community Service (PKM) activity by providing online counseling regarding taxation (online system) to UMKM actors in Gunung Gangsir Village, Pasuruan Regency which includes the functions and obligations of taxation as well as a question and answer session. The results of this community service activity increase insight in the field of accounting which focuses on making simple financial reports, and how UMKM calculate their taxes according to tax regulations. Lack of understanding about taxation makes many UMKM ask how to register, record, calculate, pay and report (5M) their taxes.
