Abstract

This development research aims to find out the results of the development of the android-based Inventor 2023 e-module as mobile learning for the Mechanical Engineering Subject at the Vocational High School level. The development of the production model used is the development of the Dick and Carey model. The results of the validity test data were obtained for R.Count all of the 15 items of questionnaire statement items on all variables in this study yielded values for R.Count > R.Table where the R.Table value was 0.361, so the indicators in these variables can be called valid. For reliability testing, it has a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient that is greater than 0.70 which is equal to 0.818 so that the variables from the questionnaire are reliable. The results of the trial data obtained for content experts were 90.33%, media experts were 84.44%, design experts were 91.61%, peer trials were 90.21%, small group trials were 91.73%, medium group trials of 92.13%, and large/field group trials of 90.04%. With these data, the Inventor 2023 e-module that has been developed falls into very good criteria and is very suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

The development of renewable energy in Indonesia has grown quite rapidly, one of which is PLTS. With this new power plant, it is hoped that the excessive use of fossil fuels will be reduced. in 2021 there a new PLTS operating in one of the universities, i.e at the Malang National Institute of Technology with a capacity of 0.5 MWp. The PLTS works on-grid into the Singosari distribution system through the Karangploso feeder so that the addition of a new generator of 0.5 MWp can cause changes in the voltage profile. the voltage profile itself is the voltage condition to be at the nominal voltage either when there is a change in load conditions or when power losses occur in the line with a standard allowable voltage profile of 0.95>V> 1.05 pu. The study used in this research is a power flow study with the Newton-Raphson method. This method is used to calculate the voltage profile on each bus of the power system either during the base case condition or when the system is integrated with PLTS 0.5 MWp. so that with the addition of a new power plant with a capacity of 0.5 MWp, it is necessary to evaluate the addition of a new generator with a capacity of 0.5 MWp to the voltage profile in the Singosari distribution system through the Karangploso feeder.

Abstract

Fires are very detrimental, ranging from loss of property to even loss of life. Fires can be detected when the fire has grown or smoke has billowed out of buildings. Urban areas have densely populated housing so that it has the potential to cause problems in the event of a fire. These fires can be caused by by factors of human negligence and natural factors. Such as the occurrence of short-circuited electricity, negligence in cooking, negligence in burning garbage, and others. Therefore, we need a tool that can detect the presence of an early source of fire so that it does not spread. The problem that often occurs is when a fire occurs, the fire department often arrives late, so there are many losses due to the fire. And the losses can be material and economic. Therefore we need a system that works to control the fire automatically and to extinguish the fire in every house. This study aims to design and build an efficient and affordable prototype. Which later can be applied to housing or warehouses. This prototype is designed using NodeMCU ESP8266 as the main controller, Flame sensor can respond to infrared light beams on the modulation spectrum from 5 to 30 cycles per second, Web Thinger.Io as a server, data storage on the internet of things , and notification of fire in the Blynk application. This system uses a flame sensor based on the Node MCU ESP8266 microcontroller and is equipped with a Buzzer for Alarm and a Mini Water Pump to automatically spray water if a fire is detected. This system utilizes the Blynk Application as an interface to provide notification information about a fire to find out notifications if a fire is detected. And if a fire is detected, it will automatically get a notification from the Blynk application on the "There is Fire" Smartphone and the buzzer will automatically sound and the mini water pump will automatically spray water. In this study, the tool can automatically send Safe and Fire notifications using the blynk application on a smartphone with a delay of < 3 seconds.

Abstract

Customer segmentation is essential for any business to better understand their customers, to maintain customer satisfaction, and to develop product and service needs. The purpose of customer segmentation is to determine how to handle customers in each category to increase each customer's profit for the business. Distributor XYZ Semarang is a multi-branched company engaged in the sale of consumer retail products to serve customers from small (retail) to large (wholesale) businesses. The database used in this study was taken from one branch with a transaction period of 2 years. The purpose of this research is to build a customer segmentation model based on customer demographics and transaction behavior and to help businesses better understand their customers to support marketing strategies. The proposed segmentation model is regarding customer demographic data regarding Recency, Frequency, and Monetary (RFM) resulting from purchasing behavior, customers have been segmented using the K-means grouping technique into various groups based on their similarities, and profiles for each group are identified based on their characteristics. . Thus, companies can find out the behavior of customers from the results of grouping based on how much value they spend, how often they make purchases and what products are their shopping concerns where this can be used as an evaluation basis for marketing strategies and further analysis..

Abstract

Water spinach (Ipomoea aquatic) is a vegetable plant that is needed by the community to meet their daily needs. In addition to the cheap price, kale is also good for health, especially preventing diabetes, overcoming anemia, preventing dehydration as well as increasing the immune system. Therefore, water spinach requires automatic watering and fertilizer application to help hydroponic kale farmers in good and efficient care. It can use a control system tool that can run water irrigation and automatic liquid fertilizer application. The tools used are microcontroller, flow sensor, Wemos D1, Soil Moisture Sensor, Real Time Clock, Relay, LCD 1602, and Servo Motor. In addition, using telegram bots as a final notification to hydroponic kale farmers that watering and fertilizer application has been completed, this is synchronized with the control system tool which provides input on the performance of the tool being late. So with the problems above, the author gives the title "Implementation of Control System for Water Sprinkling and Automatic Fertilizer Provision for Hydroponic Water spinach (Ipomoea Aquatic) Plants").

Abstract

Changes in the load on the electric power system suddenly cause dynamic disturbances. The disturbance causes the stability of the generator to be disturbed, because the generator does not respond to the disturbance quickly. This causes oscillations in the generator in the form of oscillations of frequency and rotor angle. One of the additional control equipment that can increase the stability of a generator is the Power System Stabilizer (PSS). With the PSS installation, the optimal frequency response and rotor angle of the SMIB system are obtained, indicated by the minimum system overshot response. The controller is able to provide stability so that overshoot oscillations can be suppressed, as well as faster settling time performance for the system to reach steady state conditions. To test the stability of the SMIB system, a case study of adding and subtracting loads is used, with the proposed control method using PSS.

Abstract

Fakfak Regency, West Papua Province has a Watershed and Waterfall, the Air Besar River is one of the rivers that has the opportunity to be used as a Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLTMH). Due to the large difference in flow elevation between upstream and downstream, it is hoped that this local resource can be developed for other potentials, one of which is for Micro Hydro Power Plants (PLTMH). It is hoped that this Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLTMH) will not only be able to use water as a source of energy, but also increase profits with the availability of tourism. The purpose of this research is to detect the ability of the Air Besar River as a Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLTMH). The research method used is the floating method to determine the water rate and the cross section. Furthermore, calculations are carried out to obtain the amount of water discharge, determining the effective fall height (Heff) of the flow to obtain power and energy that can be produced by river flow while account the efficiency of the generator and turbine. From the calculation results, it is known that the large water discharge from the river is 23,826 m3/s, the effective fall height (Heff) flow is 4 m. From the results of these calculations, it is known that the estimated electrical power that can be generated is 620.8159 kW.

Abstract

Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) is a transmission technology that uses more than one antenna both on the transmitter side and on the receiver side. In the communication services, the system will involve more than one active user who uses one base station (BS) together so that it is called multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO). This paper discusses the performances of MU-MIMO when it uses block diagonalization (BD) precoding and applies minimum mean squared error (MMSE) detector. As a comparison we also apply zero-forcing (ZF) detector. From the simulations that have been done, it is found that the MMSE had better performances than the ZF detector in terms of BER. We also consider the performance when users are moving. The simulation results show that BER performances are decrease slowly when users are moving.

Abstract

Lightning strikes can cause protection failure at substations such as equipment damage at substations due to insulation failure or what is known as flashover. Because of that, a lightning strike protection system is needed to minimize the occurrence of direct lightning strikes to equipment and buses at the substation. This study discusses the modeling of the protection of the substation from direct lightning strikes using the rolling sphere method at the Wonosari-pedan 150 kV substation using lightning rod poles. The calculation results show that with the configuration of a lightning rod as high as 21 m and the use of a ground wire of 17.8 m it meets the safe criteria for the height of the protected area in the case study of this research.

Abstract

One of the sub-subjects that studied in the power electronics course is the AC to DC converter in the form of a three-phase half-wave controlled rectifier where the output voltage can be controlled by adjusting the SCR gate trigger delay angle, in this research the author design and simulates an SCR triggering circuit for three-phase half-wave controlled rectifier where the components that used among others a three-phase step down transformer where the output functions as a reference signal to determine the starting point (30o) and end point (150o) of the triggering delay angle, also used as a power source for the system, the Op-Amp functions as a comparator for a three-phase rectifier (Vd) with a DC voltage (Vreference), it also functions to compare a triangle wave with a DC voltage to control the delay angle or trigger angle (α) of the SCR. The trigger pulses that given to the SCR1, SCR2, and SCR3 are carried out simultaneously in the same time by using one pulse, the average output voltage resulting from the SCR trigger circuit design in this research is relatively the same as the value obtained using mathematically calculations where the load used in form of resistive
