Abstract

Patient care in a Class D hospital care facility involves a very important physical environment and is a crucial part of facilitating healing. Apart from that, this environment also has a significant relationship with psychological aspects that can support the acceleration of the patient's recovery process. One of the factors causing patients to experience boredom and a slow recovery process is the uncomfortable environment of the treatment area (inpatient), so that the healing process will be hampered. This study is an architectural critique of inpatient care in a built class D hospital, evaluated by the literature review that has been presented to obtain a conclusion that can be used to carry out architectural criticism in the form of recommendations or input for better architectural design work. This study uses a normative critical method with a derivative type of measurable method to analyze the structural and architectural design of inpatient rooms at the Kertasari Hospital, Bandung Regency. The results of the discussion were 72.72% in accordance with standards, 27.28% were not in accordance so they needed improvement and required quality improvement. This increase can be translated into renovation activities, or changes to the interior layout to comply with regulations, and aspects of health facility space/building requirements.

Abstract

The motivation of the workers influences the results of project work. The cause can be identified by knowing the level of needs of the workers. One way to find out the level of needs of workers is with Abraham Maslow's theory of needs. Abraham Maslow's ranking of needs consists of 5 levels of basic human needs, sequentially from the lowest level, namely physiological needs, safety, love and affection, esteem, and self-actualization. This study aims to analyze the level of needs for mid-level construction workers at Building Project in West Jakarta which affects the motivation of construction project workers. The research method used is a questionnaire to middle-level workers from three project. Data processing and literature analysis were carried out when the questionnaire indicators based on the literature were obtained on the 5 needs ratings. The results obtained from the questionnaire are that the most influential need factors for middle-level workers are support from family to workers, bonuses, good health programs, relations between co-workers, and overtime pay increased. By improving communication on the factors of need for support from family and good relations between co-workers, rewards on the factors of bonuses and overtime pay, last is guarantees a good health program on the factors of the work environment

Abstract

To reduce the weight of a structure for the purposes of lightweight construction on clay (soft) and peat, an innovation is required. Priority one is the self-weight of the structure. A method for reducing the weight of construction is to reduce the weight of the wall, particularly the wall made of red brick, which weighs 1500 kg/m3 s/d 2000 kg/m3, and cement brick, which weighs 950 kg/m3 s/d 1000 kg/m3. Then came the innovation of CLC lightweight concrete bricks, as the technology is so simple that small to medium-sized businesses can produce them. In addition to comparatively accessible raw materials, this technology is also more environmentally benign (green technology). CLC (Cellular Lightweight Concrete) is produced by combining cement, sediment, water, chemical admixture, and infill material consisting of air-produced foam such as micro-sized detergent foam (micro bubbles) or foam agent. Based on the research conducted with varying amounts of foam, the lightweight concrete brick weighs only 400 kg/m3 s/d 1200 kg / m3. When compared to red bricks and cement bricks, the weight of lightweight concrete bricks is nearly half that of red bricks and cement bricks. As a consequence of a decrease in the volume of the bataringan's weight, the pressure has diminished. And the batringan's physical and mechanical properties will also change

Abstract

The time analysis of the additional work of the PT. Petrokimia Gresik Building Construction project aims to determine the delay and acceleration during the implementation of additional work to meet the SLF (Certificate of Functioning) requirements on the work items of emergency stairs, fire extinguisher, GWT and electrical which have a contract value of Rp 3,556,641,848, - with a planned project completion time of 19 weeks located on Jl. Tanah Abang II no. 63, Central Jakarta, DKI Jakarta. In this study using the Earned Value Concept method, which is a method that can analyze time and provide an overview of conditions at the time of realization which includes indicators in the form of BCWS and BCWP. At the time of the implementation of the additional work, in fifth weeks to twelveth seen from the value of the schedule variant (SV) shows a positive number (+) which means the work is carried out faster than planned. However, the evaluation of week 15 to week 17 seen from the schedule variance value (SV) has a negative value (-) which means there is a delay from the plan schedule at the time of implementation. But the delay did not really affect the project completion time at the end because previously there was an acceleration of work. At the end of the SPI calculation, it has a value of 1 = 1, which means that the work implementation time is in accordance with the planned time of 19 weeks.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the impact of adding coconut fiber on the compressive and tensile strengths of geopolymer concrete. The study utilized geopolymer concrete composed of a mixture of fly ash and coconut coir fiber. The research variables included the percentage of coconut coir fiber in the geopolymer concrete mix, namely 0%, 0.25%, 0.50%, and 1%. Data collection involved the fabrication of geopolymer concrete, testing of coarse and fine aggregates, and aggregate sieve analysis. The results of this study are expected to provide insights into the potential of coconut fiber in enhancing the quality of geopolymer concrete. The analysis revealed that the addition of coconut fiber can increase the tensile strength of geopolymer concrete, with a peak enhancement of 32.52% observed at the optimal proportion of 0.5%. Conversely, at 1%, a decrease of 4.64% in tensile strength was noted. Furthermore, the compressive strength of geopolymer concrete experienced improvement up to a proportion of 0.5%, showing an increase of 48.79%. However, at 1%, the tensile strength decreased by 12.43%. Therefore, the 0.5% proportion of coconut fiber is considered optimal for enhancing both tensile and compressive strengths of geopolymer concrete. This research contributes to expanding the understanding of coconut fiber usage in geopolymer concrete and provides recommendations regarding the optimal proportion of coconut fiber in the geopolymer concrete mix.

Abstract

Increased development is directly proportional to the absorption of labour in the construction sector. Nevertheless, the large number of workers does not guarantee the quality and productivity of a job. Labor productivity is the first indicator to assess the success of construction work so it needs to be analysed. This study aims to calculate the productivity of labours on pile cap for the construction of the Manohara Hotel, Yogyakarta, using Monte Carlo simulations and the Macro VBA program. The results of the analysis are divided into three parts, among others: the work productivity of the work floor, the installation of bricks as pile cap walls and the work of pile cap reinforcement. In general, the results of the study show that the productivity of the pile cap work is quite good, where the productivity of the work floor is 0.22 m3/hour with an average idle time of 12 minutes or an average worker break of 13.04% during the working time from 18.30–20.00 WIB; the lowest brick installation productivity was 12.38 bricks/hour with an idle average of 8.3 minutes or 14.27% during processing time from 15.30-16.30 WIB; and the lowest reinforcement installation productivity is in the bottom reinforcement work of 60 reinforcement/hour with an average idle of 10.69 minutes or an ineffective worker time of 50.8% of the total work time.

Abstract

Badung Regency is currently one of the tourism areas that generates travel, this certainly results in a high economic turnover which has an impact on increasing the number of private vehicles and services to and from the area. This study aims to determine efforts to integrate public transportation systems so that it is expected to improve accessibility and support tourism in South Badung. The research location was carried out in the South Badung area targeting Metro Dewata bus public transportation users. This research uses quantitative methods with the approach of perceptions and preferences of public transportation users who are more concerned with quality service analysis and importance-performance analysis. Based on the results of the study, it is known that respondents are still dissatisfied with the quality of service of the current integration of the public transportation system as evidenced by the servqual value of all integration still less than 0 and the level of conformity which is still below 100% so that it needs to be improved and adjusted again the quality of service. This can be done by developing a public transportation system integration strategy. The variable type of integration of the public transportation system that is prioritized for handling is physical integration, which has a servqual value of -1.082 with a suitability level of 73.846% and is in quadrant III of the Cartesian diagram. This can also be evidenced by the physical condition of public transportation stops and terminals in several places that are inadequate so that users still feel less comfortable and effective.
