Abstract

In general, there are three parenting styles for children: authoritarian, democratic, and permissive parenting. The study entitled The Phenomenon of Tiger Mom and Elephant Mom Parenting Models, Its Impact on Learning Independence of Children Aged 6-12 Years, Integrated Research on Parenting Courses for Children Aged 0-18 Years Against 28 children at the Weekly Service Place for Semester V Students of STAK Terpadu PESAT Salatiga 2024. Wanting to reveal the impact of parenting as expressed by Amy Chua, namely the combination of authoritarian and classic authoritative parenting styles, called Tiger Parenting and Elephant Parenting which is similar to the style permissive or indulgent parenting towards learning independence. The study used a qualitative Phenomenology method. Final result: there are differences in parenting patterns for each child studied. There are anomalies due to parenting between theory and field facts. There are children with Tiger Mom parenting models who are less independent in learning. Only two children according to theory, are independent in learning. In relation to Elephant Mom parenting, the facts obtained are: many children fall into the category of quite independent, independent, very independent, others according to the theory are in the category of less to not independent. Conclusion of the study: there are four good impacts of parenting patterns related to learning independence. First, increased self-confidence in using learning media. Second, children show a positive response during the learning process. Third, children know how to manage and adhere to the study time that has been set and agreed upon. Fourth, children can be responsible and able to solve problems experienced. Tiger Mom parenting can produce children who are less or even not independent with various influencing factors. One of them is the child's personal factor. Likewise, Elephant Mom parenting can produce children who are very independent in learning. Also because of personal factors and the child's social environment.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of contemporary theology in the formation of Christian character within the context of the modern era, marked by rapid social change, digitalization, and globalization. Employing a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method, this research is based on an extensive literature review of contemporary theological writings, church documents, and scholarly works related to Christian character formation, discipleship, and church leadership. The study examines how contemporary theology functions as a contextual framework that bridges enduring biblical doctrines with present-day cultural, technological, and ethical challenges. The findings indicate that contemporary theology plays a crucial role in shaping Christian character by encouraging contextualized worship practices, integrative faith education, and holistic discipleship models that emphasize spiritual, moral, social, and intellectual dimensions. Furthermore, effective character formation is closely linked to discipleship approaches grounded in relational community, mentoring, and spiritual disciplines, as well as leadership models characterized by servant leadership, collaboration, and ethical integrity. In response to digitalization and globalization, the church is also called to develop strategies that integrate digital literacy, ethical discernment, and social engagement as essential components of faith formation. This study concludes that the formation of Christian character in the modern era requires a balanced integration of contemporary theological reflection, contextual discipleship, adaptive church leadership, and responsible engagement with digital culture. Such an integrative approach enables the church to remain faithful to biblical foundations while responding constructively to the complexities of modern life, ensuring that Christian faith is lived authentically as a transformative way of life rather than merely a doctrinal system.AbstrakPenelitian ini menganalisis implementasi teologi kontemporer dalam pembentukan karakter Kristen di era modern yang ditandai oleh perubahan sosial, digitalisasi, dan globalisasi yang pesat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif-analitis melalui studi kepustakaan terhadap literatur teologi kontemporer, dokumen gereja, serta kajian ilmiah yang membahas pembentukan karakter Kristen, pemuridan, dan kepemimpinan gereja. Kajian ini menempatkan teologi kontemporer sebagai kerangka reflektif yang menjembatani ajaran Alkitab yang bersifat normatif dengan tantangan budaya, teknologi, dan etika masa kini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teologi kontemporer berperan penting dalam pembentukan karakter Kristen melalui praktik ibadah yang dikontekstualisasikan, pendidikan iman yang integratif, serta model pemuridan holistik yang mencakup dimensi spiritual, moral, sosial, dan intelektual. Pembentukan karakter yang efektif juga sangat bergantung pada model pemuridan berbasis relasi, mentoring, dan disiplin rohani, serta kepemimpinan gereja yang meneladani kepemimpinan Kristus yang melayani, kolaboratif, dan berintegritas. Dalam menghadapi tantangan globalisasi dan media digital, gereja perlu mengembangkan strategi pembinaan yang mengintegrasikan literasi digital, ketajaman etis, dan pelayanan sosial sebagai bagian dari proses formasi iman. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pembentukan karakter Kristen di era modern menuntut integrasi yang seimbang antara refleksi teologi kontemporer, pemuridan yang kontekstual, kepemimpinan gereja yang relevan, serta keterlibatan kritis terhadap budaya digital. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan gereja tetap berakar pada iman Alkitabiah sekaligus relevan dan transformatif dalam kehidupan umat di tengah dinamika zaman.

Abstract

The development of the digital era presents great opportunities for children to acquire knowledge, creativity, and broad interaction, but at the same time poses challenges in the form of exposure to negative content, moral degradation, and a decline in spirituality. This condition demands a strategic role from families, especially parents, as the primary educators in shaping Christ-like character in children from an early age. This study aims to analyse the role of parents in shaping the character of Christ in children in the digital age and the challenges faced. The research method used is qualitative with a literature study approach from various sources of theology, education, and contemporary studies related to the digital age. The conclusion of this study is that the digital age has a major impact on children, making the formation of Christ-like character urgent and essential for them to hold on to the values of love, loyalty, and integrity. In this case, the role of parents is very important as primary educators who guide, exemplify, and direct children to grow in Christ-like character amid the challenges of the times.AbstrakPerkembangan era digital menghadirkan peluang besar bagi anak-anak untuk memperoleh pengetahuan, kreativitas, serta interaksi yang luas, namun sekaligus menimbulkan tantangan berupa paparan konten negatif, degradasi moral, dan penurunan spiritualitas. Kondisi ini menuntut adanya peran strategis dari keluarga, khususnya orang tua, sebagai pendidik utama dalam membentuk karakter Kristus pada anak sejak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran orang tua dalam membentuk karakter Kristus anak di era digital serta tantangan yang dihadapi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka dari berbagai sumber literatur teologi, pendidikan, dan kajian kontemporer terkait era digital. Adapun kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa di era digital membawa dampak besar bagi anak-anak sehingga pembentukan karakter Kristus menjadi hal yang mendesak dan esensial agar mereka tetap berpegang pada nilai kasih, kesetiaan, dan integritas. Dalam hal ini, peran orang tua sangat penting sebagai pendidik utama yang membimbing, meneladani, dan mengarahkan anak untuk bertumbuh dalam karakter Kristus di tengah tantangan zaman.

Abstract

As a developing elementary school, SD XYZ in Jambi operates with a limited budget, which constrains its ability to provide adequate learning facilities, teaching resources, and teacher welfare. This study examines the role of Cognizant Leadership in improving teacher performance and the quality of education at SD XYZ, a new school facing challenges in resource limitations, student retention, and the need for adaptive and reflective leadership. The research employed a single-case qualitative design, with data collected through observation and interviews involving the principal, six teachers, two parents, and representatives of the school foundation. Data analysis followed an inductive process through coding stages of reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that context-aware leadership has a significant positive impact on teacher motivation and performance, particularly through empathetic, participatory, and empowering approaches. Leadership practices such as openness to feedback, two-way communication, and data-informed evaluation strengthen collaborative and professional school culture. Although Cognizant Leadership has not yet been fully institutionalized, its potential is evident in building trust, improving resource management, and guiding teachers toward higher instructional quality.This study concludes that Cognizant Leadership offers a strategic and contextually relevant approach for developing elementary schools like SD XYZ to become more responsive, reflective, and quality-oriented. Abstract

The narrative of Genesis 50:15–21 describes the culmination of reconciliation in human relationships through Joseph's act of forgiveness towards his brothers. This story reveals a profound theological dimension of how God's love and sovereignty work amid human wounds and conflicts. In the modern context, especially in the digital age, human relationships are experiencing a crisis of empathy and a loss of spiritual meaning, necessitating a theological reconstruction of forgiveness as the basis for relationship restoration. The phenomenon of increasing digital dehumanisation and social breakdown emphasises the urgency of theological study of the biblical concept of forgiveness. The purpose of this study is to interpret Genesis 50:15–21 theologically to discover principles of reconciliation and relationship restoration that are relevant to character formation in contemporary Christian education. It uses qualitative research methods with a theological interpretation approach and literature study. It can be concluded that the narrative of Genesis 50:15–21 affirms forgiveness as an expression of God's love and sovereignty that restores human relationships damaged by sin and conflict. Joseph's reconciliation reflects a process of self-healing and relationship renewal rooted in faith and awareness of God's plan. Thus, the theology of forgiveness provides an ethical and spiritual foundation that is relevant for character building, Christian education, and relational ethics in a digital society that is increasingly losing its sense of humanity.AbstrakNarasi Kejadian 50:15–21 menggambarkan puncak rekonsiliasi dalam relasi manusia melalui tindakan pengampunan Yusuf terhadap saudara-saudaranya. Kisah ini menyingkap dimensi teologis yang mendalam tentang bagaimana kasih dan kedaulatan Allah bekerja di tengah luka dan konflik manusia. Dalam konteks modern, terutama di era digital relasi antar manusia mengalami krisis empati dan kehilangan makna spiritual, sehingga diperlukan rekonstruksi pemahaman teologis tentang pengampunan sebagai dasar pemulihan relasi. Fenomena meningkatnya dehumanisasi digital dan keretakan relasi sosial mempertegas urgensi kajian teologis terhadap konsep pengampunan dalam Alkitab. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menafsirkan Kejadian 50:15–21 secara teologis untuk menemukan prinsip-prinsip rekonsiliasi dan pemulihan relasi yang relevan bagi pembentukan karakter dalam pendidikan Kristen kontemporer. Menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan tafsir teologis dan studi pustaka. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa narasi Kejadian 50:15–21 menegaskan pengampunan sebagai penyataan kasih dan kedaulatan Allah yang memulihkan relasi manusia yang rusak oleh dosa dan konflik. Rekonsiliasi yang dilakukan Yusuf mencerminkan proses penyembuhan diri dan pembaruan relasi yang berakar pada iman dan kesadaran akan rencana ilahi. Dengan demikian, teologi pengampunan memberikan dasar etis dan spiritual yang relevan bagi pembentukan karakter, pendidikan Kristen, serta etika relasi di tengah masyarakat digital yang semakin kehilangan makna kemanusiaan.

Abstract

The development of information technology and social media in this era of disruption has had a major impact on religious practices. On the one hand, digital advances have opened up new opportunities for churches to expand their ministries, but on the other hand, there are also serious challenges that touch on the ethical, moral and spiritual aspects of the congregation. The challenges faced by ministers of God in maintaining spirituality and integrity amid ethical disruption caused by the development of information technology. The purpose of this study focuses on Christian ethical challenges in the use of social media and efforts to formulate strategies for spiritual guidance of congregations to remain faithful to Christ's teachings amid the rapid flow of digitalisation. Using qualitative research methods with a literature study approach, it can be concluded that the development of information technology presents great opportunities for Christian ministry, but also poses serious challenges in the form of ethical disruption. Social media can be a means of spreading the gospel and fellowship of faith, but if misused, it can damage the spirituality and integrity of the congregation. Therefore, ministers need to develop Christian ethics-based digital literacy by setting an example in the wise use of technology. Christian ethics education in the digital space is important to shape congregations that are able to sort information, avoid hoaxes, and use social media as a means of witnessing their faith.AbstrakPerkembangan teknologi informasi dan media sosial di era disrupsi telah membawa pengaruh besar dalam praktik keagamaan. Di satu sisi, kemajuan digital membuka peluang baru bagi gereja untuk memperluas pelayanan, namun di sisi lain, hadir pula tantangan serius yang menyentuh aspek etika, moral, dan spiritualitas jemaat. Adapun tantangan yang dihadapi oleh pelayan Tuhan dalam mempertahankan spiritualitas dan integritas di tengah disrupsi etika akibat perkembangan teknologi informasi.  Tujuan penelitian ini berfokus pada  tantangan etika Kristen dalam penggunaan media sosial serta upaya merumuskan strategi pembinaan rohani jemaat agar tetap setia kepada ajaran Kristus di tengah derasnya arus digitalisasi. Menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Perkembangan teknologi informasi menghadirkan peluang besar bagi pelayanan Kristen, namun juga menimbulkan tantangan serius berupa disrupsi etika. Media sosial dapat menjadi sarana penyebaran Injil dan persekutuan iman, tetapi jika disalahgunakan dapat merusak spiritualitas dan integritas umat. Oleh karena itu, pelayan Tuhan perlu mengembangkan literasi digital berbasis etika Kristen dengan menjadi teladan dalam penggunaan teknologi secara bijak.

Abstract

This study aims to critically review the role of Christian Education in the church in shaping and fostering the character of humility in adolescents amidst the challenges of the digital era, based on the truth of God's word in Proverbs 18:12. In a modern context dominated by digital technology and social media, adolescents face cultural pressures that tend to emphasize self-image, arrogance, and individualism. This condition creates an urgency for the church to provide relevant and transformative education, especially in the formation of spiritual characters such as humility. This study aims to identify how Sunday school teachers can apply Biblical values. Such as designing a Bible-based character education model In line with the nature of today's era. The method used is descriptive qualitative with interview techniques with 3 Christian Sunday school teachers. The results of the study can show that the application of the character value of humility through each established rule and learning to dare to admit mistakes when making mistakes through examples and real actions is very effective in shaping children's character. Therefore, Bible-based character education needs to be implemented according to the needs of children in the current digital era.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara kritis peran Pendidikan Kristen di gereja dalam membentuk dan membina karakter kerendahan hati pada remaja di tengah tantangan era digital, berdasarkan kebenaran firman Tuhan dalam Amsal 18:12. Dalam konteks modern yang didominasi oleh teknologi digital dan media sosial, remaja menghadapi tekanan budaya yang cenderung menekankan citra diri, kesombongan, dan individualisme. Kondisi ini menciptakan urgensi bagi gereja untuk menyediakan pendidikan yang relevan dan transformatif, terutama dalam pembentukan karakter rohani seperti kerendahan hati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana guru sekolah minggu dapat menerapkan nilai-nilai Alkitabiah. Seperti merancang model pendidikan karakter berbasis Alkitab yang selaras dengan hakikat zaman sekarang. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara dengan 3 orang guru sekolah minggu Kristen dan  remaja. Hasil penelitian dapat menunjukkan bahwa penerapan nilai karakter kerendahan hati melalui setiap aturan yang ditetapkan dan belajar untuk berani mengakui kesalahan saat berbuat salah melalui contoh dan tindakan nyata sangat efektif dalam membentuk karakter anak. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan karakter berbasis Alkitab perlu dilaksanakan sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak di era digital saat ini.

Abstract

Hierarchical organizational frameworks. Such models are particularly vulnerable to the reality of spiritual degradation among both church leaders and congregations. In contrast, within a Pentecostal pneumatological perspective, leadership is understood as a manifestation of the Holy Spirit’s work, which is dynamic, active, inclusive, and transformative within the society, it cannot be separated from the spirituality of the Holy Spirit itself. This article aims to identify the relevance of the pneumatocratic leadership model, which positions the work of the Holy Spirit at the center of ecclesial leadership as the primary driving force across various aspects of life, with universal implications for society in the contemporary era. Utilizing a library research method, this article analyzes the characteristics and implications of pneumatocratic leadership as a transformational leadership model. The superiority of this pneumatological model lies in its charismatic, gift-based leadership within the church and the broader contemporare society. This article demonstrates that the pneumatocratic leadership model does not rely solely on structural power but is grounded in the guidance of the Holy Spirit, whose implications extend universally. Therefore, pneumatocratic leadership offers an alternative paradigm that is highly relevant for both the church and contemporary society in addressing the holistic challenges of pluralism, secularism, and the dynamics of global contemporare development.AbstrakKepemimpinan memiliki peran yang sangat signifikan dalam setiap organisasi. Perkembangan jaman mendorong munculnya fenomena gereja kekinian yang cenderung membentuk kepemimpinan gerejawi dibangun di atas hirarkisorganisatori semata, model ini cenderung rentan terhadap kenyataan degradasi spiritualitas pemimpin gereja dan jemaat.Sementara dalam perspektif Pentakostal pneumatologi, kepemimpinan dipahami sebagai manifestasi karya Roh Kudus yang hidup, aktif, inklusif, dan transformatif,  tidak bisa terlepas dari spiritualitas Roh Kudus itu sendiri. Artikel ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi relevansi model kepemimpinan pneomatokrasi yang menempatkan pekerjaan Roh Kudus dalam kepemimpinan gereja sebagai pusat penggerak di berbagai aspek kehidupan yang berdampak bagi masyarakat secara universal di era kekinian. Melalui metode riset pustaka, artikel ini menganalisis karakteristik dan implikasi kepemimpinan pneomatokrasi sebagai model transformasional leadership yang menampilkan relevansi pneomatologi pada sifatnya yang relasional, berbasis karunia Roh (charismatic gift-based leadership di tengah perkembangan masyarakat kontemporer.Artikel ini menunjukan model kepemimpinan pneomatokratik tidak hanya bergantung pada kekuatan struktural semata, namun bersandar pada pimpinan Roh Kudus dimana implikasinya menjangkau secara universal dalam menghadapi tantangan pluralisme, sekularisme, serta dinamika perkembangan kontemporer global.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the theological meaning of love (agape) and faith (pisteuo panta) in 1 Corinthians 13:7 and implement it in the development of Christian character and leadership today. The problem faced is a lack of practical understanding of how love and faith can be applied concretely in Christian leadership, especially for ministers of God in dealing with crises of faith, internal church conflicts, and the challenges of modernism. This study attempts to address these issues by examining the theological foundation of 1 Corinthians 13:7, analyzing the character development of ministers, and offering implementation strategies in the context of current leadership. The method used is a qualitative approach with theological analysis of the biblical text, literature study from theological and leadership sources, and practical application in the church context. This study integrates theological understanding, historical case studies (the Corinthian congregation), and current leadership strategies to produce a holistic framework for servants of God. The results of the study show that love and trust are essential foundations for effective Christian leadership. Love and trust are not only theological principles, but transformative strategies that can build a strong congregation, leaders with integrity, and relevant ministry in the midst of changing times.AbstrakKajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makna teologis kasih (agape) dan kepercayaan (pisteuo panta) dalam 1 Korintus 13:7 serta mengimplementasikannya dalam pengembangan karakter dan kepemimpinan Kristen masa kini. Masalah yang dihadapi adalah kurangnya pemahaman praktis tentang bagaimana kasih dan kepercayaan dapat diterapkan secara konkret dalam kepemimpinan Kristen, terutama hamba Tuhan dalam menghadapi krisis kepercayaan, konflik internal jemaat, dan tantangan modernisme. Kajian ini coba menjawab masalah tersebut dengan mengkaji fondasi teologis 1 Korintus 13:7, menganalisis pengembangan karakter hamba Tuhan, dan menawarkan strategi implementasi dalam konteks kepemimpinan saat ini. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis teologis terhadap teks Alkitab, studi literatur dari sumber-sumber teologis dan kepemimpinan, serta penerapan praktis dalam konteks gereja.  Kajian ini mengintegrasikan pemahaman teologis, studi kasus historis (jemaat Korintus), dan strategi kepemimpinan masa kini untuk menghasilkan kerangka kerja yang holistik bagi hamba Tuhan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kasih dan kepercayaan merupakan fondasi esensial bagi kepemimpinan Kristen yang efektif.
