Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of employee satisfaction with a structural model approach that can clarify the relationship between the variables of satisfaction, leadership work environment and employee performance. This research was conducted in a multinational company engaged in the multifinance sector, located in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, Indonesia In this study, the sample was taken using purposive sampling with a total sample of 235 people from various existing departments. The analytical technique used is the Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results of the study found that (1) the SEM model has met the standards of the Goodness of Fit Index, (2) the employee satisfaction variable has a significant influence on employee performance because it provides a CR value > 1.96 and a probability value < 0.05, (3) The work environment variable has an effect on significant on employee performance and satisfaction because it provides a CR value > 1.96 and a probability value < 0.05, (4) the leadership variable has a very significant influence on employee performance and satisfaction because it provides a CR value > 1.96 and a probability value < 0.05.

Abstract

Waste cooking oil (used cooking oil ) is oil derived from leftover cooking oil for frying food. Waste cooking oil is still considered as waste by some people and waste cooking oil that should not be suitable for consumption is sometimes still widely reused in food processing, this can endanger health and reduce the nutritional value of food. In order to be used and have economic value, it is overcome by synthesizing waste cooking oil into glycerol so it can be used as cosurfactant. Besides as cosurfactant, this waste cooking oil glycerol also can be used for various chemical industies, foods, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals industries. For cosmetic preparation, it can make a nanocream preparation. The purpose of this research was to utilize waste cooking oil into a glycerol which is used as a cosurfactant, to characterize the synthesis results based on IR Spectroscopy data and to formulate it to nanocream preparation. The research was conducted in an experimentally by making glycerol from side product of waste cooking oil. Separating glycerol process conducted by transesterification reaction. Glycerol of waste cooking oil by product was characterized with IR Spectroscopy and evaluated include organoleptic, glycerol contents, density, viscosity, ash content, and moisture content. Formulation of nanocream preparation using 30% of Tween 80 as surfactant, glycerol by-product as cosurfactant 7,5% concentration, and 20% of VCO as oil phase. The nanocream preparation was measured for its particle size with the aim of being able to determine the particle size of the formula to form nanoparticle size. The results showed that glycerol of waste cooking oil by product shows the presence of OH, CH-aliphatic, C=O carbonyl and C-O. particle size of nanocream preparation obtained was 397,76 nm. Based on the result of this research, the conclusion is glycerol of waste cooking oil by-product can form nano size with presence of glycerol as cosurfactant. The particle size of the nanocream preparation obtained was still in the nanocream requirement range, namely 20-500 nm.

Abstract

Uric acid is a natural antioxidant produced by the human body, but it can trigger rheumatoid arthritis if the amount exceeds the normal threshold with typical symptoms in the form of pain accompanied by swelling in the joint area, even in advanced conditions there is joint stiffness. Cymbopogon nardus (L.) Rendle or lemongrass is an effective plant to reduce joint pain and swelling. The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of warm lemongrass foot bath therapy on changes in the scale of joint pain in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. This study is a pre-experimental study with one group pre-test and post-test design without a control group, changes after two days of soaking warm lemongrass feet by observing changes in the pain scale of 23 respondents. The Wilcoxon test results showed that there was a change in the pain scale after intervention with a value of p = 0.01, which means that warm scented lemongrass foot soak affects reducing the pain scale of patients with rheumatoid arthritis. The warm sensation of the foot soaking intervention provides a peripheral vasodilation effect which causes a decrease in joint pain in inflamed tissues, the chemical effect of citronellal compounds is around 32-45%, geraniol 12-18%, and citronellol 12-25% in citronella plants are also proven to play a role in reducing pain. This study concluded that warm lemongrass foot soaking therapy affected the changes in the scale of joint pain in Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Abstract

There are still a lot of environmentally friendly waste that has not been used. Like palm oil fronds that rot because they are not used. This is due to the lack of knowledge about the benefits of oil palm frond waste. The purpose of this research is to provide insight to the community about processing oil palm frond waste, through training. Specifically, this study aims to measure the level of training in the utilization of palm oil frond waste against the results of activities in making products from environmentally friendly waste. It is hoped that this research can help the farming community in utilizing palm oil frond waste into a high-value product. The research sample consisted of 25 members of community organizations (PKK women's groups and youth youth groups). The method used is true experimental design by conducting training on the manufacture of products from oil palm frond waste. The results show that the informant independent variable (X1) has a significance of 0.175, material (X2) has a significance of 0.099, facilities (X3) has a significance of 0.956, behavior (X4) has a significance of 0.000. and innovation (X5) significance of 0.397. The significance value of the F test is 0.000. and all variables have an effect on Activity Results (Y). However, when tested individually, the behavior variable accepts the hypothesis while other independent variables reject the hypothesis. there are still many influences from other variables (R Squre = 66.7%) that affect the results of activities. Further research can use other methods, to find the effect of training on the results of activities.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to explain Village Fund Allocation for community empowerment by concentrating on village financial management rules in Village Fund Allocation administration. The Village Fund Allocation Implementation Team's financial management was not in accordance with applicable regulations, thus this research was conducted. This study is expected to assist the Buton Regency Government, specifically the South Lasalimu District, in improving village financial management. The research was conducted through in-depth interviews and direct observation of Village Fund Management implementation. According to the study's results, accountable and transparent management has been in place for the planning and implementation of Village Fund Allocation activities. Meanwhile, in terms of accountability, as indicated by the physical outcomes, it has exhibited responsible and transparent execution; nevertheless, additional direction is still necessary on the administrative side, since it is not completely in conformity with the regulations. The main barrier is the ineffectiveness of developing village government officials and human resource capabilities, which results in a lack of ongoing assistance from local government officials.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of competence and facilities have a positive and significant effect on teacher’s performance at Haji Masri Darul Ilmi Murni Islamic Educational Foundation, Namorambe District, Deli Serdang Regency. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with several tests, that are the classical assumption test and multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that competence (X1) has a t-count value of 3.263 and a t-table of 1.663 when compared to t-count, the results are 3.263> 1.663, so it can be concluded that competence has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance (Y). The facility (X2) has a t-count of 5.595 when compared to the t table, the result is 5.595>1.663, so it can be concluded that the facilities have a positive and significant effect on teacher’s performance (Y). Simultaneously, competence and facilities have a positive and significant influence on teacher’s performance. This means that the hypothesis in this study is accepted, proved by the calculated F value > F table (75.790 > 3.11). The results of the coefficient of determination indicate that competence and facilities have an influence on teacher’s performance by 65.2%, while the remaining 34.8% is influenced by other variables which are not examined in this study.
