Abstract

This study aims to examine the model of women's empowerment based on non-formal education through the Bunda Waste Bank Program in Bangun Rejo Village. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and document studies. Data analysis uses Miles and Huberman's interactive model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn, with data validity maintained through source triangulation and triangulation techniques. The results of the study show that the women's empowerment model in this program is studied using five stages, namely preparation, social mapping, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The main characteristic of the model lies in a participatory and contextual approach that allows women to be actively involved in the learning process and program management. This research shows that the Bunda Waste Bank Program can be an example of an adaptive, participatory, and sustainable community empowerment model.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the non-formal education model through Eduwisata Rimba Adventure for Improving Science Literacy from an Early Age in Rimba Schools. The research approach uses qualitative data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn, with validity tests using triangulation techniques and sources. The results of the study show that the nature-based edutourism model in construction through direct field interaction, environmental interaction, and experiential reflection supports the development of early childhood science literacy. This study shows that the nature tourism based learning model supports the development of early childhood science literacy through exploratory experiences and direct interaction with the environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the Brain-Based Learning model and students' self-confidence levels in influencing critical thinking skills in elementary school math lessons. The research uses a quantitative approach with a 2×2 factorial quasi-experimental design. The subjects of the study were fifth-grade students grouped based on the learning model they received as well as based on high and low self-confidence categories. Data were collected through critical thinking skill tests and self-confidence questionnaires, then analyzed using two-way analysis of variance. The research results show that applying Brain-Based Learning has a significant impact on students' critical thinking skills. Students' level of self-confidence also proves to contribute significantly to achieving these skills. Further analysis reveals an interaction between the learning model and self-confidence, indicating that the effectiveness of the learning model differs according to students' self-confidence characteristics. Students with high self-confidence achieve better results when engaging in BBL-based learning, while students with low self-confidence show better outcomes through cooperative learning of the STAD type. These findings suggest that the development of critical thinking skills is influenced by a mix of cognitive and affective factors.
