Papers can be written in Bahasa or English. The Journal of Tourism and Economics continues to develop various sub-themes related to economics (including accounting and management) and tourism (including culture). Journal scope is international and includes research on aspects of economic studies and tourism issues. This journal also provides opportunities for researchers and scholars from various disciplines of science who have new views and ideas to share with other academics, especially in matters that focus on tourism, culture and economic studies. All papers will be followed up and reviewed by the research community before publication.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the attributes that are priority improvements and to determine the attributes that are considered important by consumers in order to achieve customer satisfaction at Goebog Resto Bantul, Yogyakarta. This research was conducted by collecting data using direct observation and distributing questionnaires to consumers who came and enjoyed the products of Goebog Resto. In this study there are six attributes on product quality which include, food taste, menu variety, dish portions, quality of food ingredients, food presentation, and price. These attributes are used to measure the level of importance and level of performance on product quality. The analysis was carried out using a quantitative descriptive approach with statistical analysis of Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). From the GAP analysis between actual and expected performance, it can be seen that the performance of Goebog Resto Bantul, Yogyakarta has not been optimal beyond what consumers expect.

Abstract

Pengadangan Barat Village has been designated as a tourist village in 2021, however it has not shown its existence as an attractive rural tourist destination to visit upto the present. This is due to the absence of a master plan for the development of tourism. This study aimed to map the tourism potential of Pengadangan Barat Village as well as the opportunities and challenges of its development into a village-based tourist destination. Using qualitative research method, this research involved the village government, members of tourism awareness groups, and village communities to become informants. Data were collected through participant observation techniques, FGDs, interviews and documentation and were analyzed qualitatively. This research revealed three categories of tourism potential owned by the Pengadangan Barat tourism village, namely natural potential, cultural and historical potential, and human resource potential. This research also concluded that western tourism villages can be developed into destinations for educational tourism, agritourism and sports or adventure tourism. The challenges of developing this village were  in the form of the capacity of members of tourism awareness groups, village government policies, community participation and competition with other tourism villages. These challenges could be addressed by conducting intensive communication and cooperation with various relevant parties and asking for assistance from practitioners and academics.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the potential attraction of the Sidorejo Tourism Village located in Lendah District, Kulon Progo Regency. In identifying, the researchers used several methods both in collecting data and processing data. Steps to collect data include FGD, interviews, observations, library studies and documentation, while the primary and secondary data processing obtained was carried out by descriptive-qualitative analysis, interpretation and analysis of tourism potential. It is resulted that Sidorejo Tourism Village has a various attractions including natural, cultural and artificial attractions. It is known that there are several problems in management and become quite influential obstacles related to the structure of management, management, education level and packaging of tourism products.

Abstract

Indonesia also has a variety of traditional culinary. The city is one of the cities that has a unique gastronomic tourism with a variety of special foods. Mulyaharja Village, which is the main tourist attraction of Bogor, also offers a variety of special foods found in Sundanese specialties. However, there are still many people who do not know the typical food of Mulyaharja Village. This study aims to explain what factors make Mulyaharja village a tourist destination in the city of Bogor and to find out the typical food of Mulyaharja Village which has the potential to become a source of income for residents. The data for this study were collected through observation and interviews with several sources. The data analysis tool used is the SWOT matrix to identify internal and external factors. The results of the study show that, first, Mulyaharja Village already has the factors that make it a tourist destination. However, there are still some limitations that need to be developed. Second, Mulyaharja Village has unique traditional food, namely Nasi Liwet, Nasi Tutung Oncom, Stir-fried Banana Heart, Jengkol Balado and Cucumber Shaved Ice. Third, the typical cuisine of Mulyaharja village can be a source of community income, namely by increasing promotion facilities and maintaining and improving the quality of Mulyaharja's culinary specialties. That way, Mulyaharja Village can become one of the culinary tourism spots in the city of Bogor.

Abstract

Tebet Eco Park is a new green open space in South Jakarta. The aims of this study is to analyze the condition of the facilities, potential visits, and provide suggestions for better Tebet Eco Park. The type of this study is descriptive qualitative research. The methods for collecting the data are observation, interviews, and documentation. The Miles Huberman methodology, which consists of data reduction, data display, and data verification, is used to analyze research data. Tebet Eco Park contains eight different zones, and the facilities are in good and clean condition. In this research, eco park has good pull factors such as easy access, free prices, good facilities, and good staff service but does not guarantee that the revisit intention of visitors will always be positive. It is hoped that on weekends and holidays, eco park limit the number of visitors to enjoy the environment for a longer period of time. Visitors also want to come back if the place is not too crowded, and want to recommend Tebet Eco Park to their relatives. The first suggestion for organizers is to lower the visiting cap on weekends, and holidays. The second is to create an online visitor survey. The third is to construct a lactation area. The fourth is to create an activity calendar for the Eco Park.

Abstract

This study uses a qualitative approach by conducting interviews and observations of tourism business actors and visitors in Pangandaran beach tourism area. The focus of the study is on the difficulties faced by tourism business actors and explore the experience of visitors on Pangandaran beach during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted with a descriptive qualitative approach with primary and secondary data collection. Primary data collection was carried out through interviews and observations by adhering to strict health protocols. While secondary data is done through the collection of documents related to research studies online and offline. The results of this study indicate that the difficulties faced by tourism business actors in the Pangandaran coastal area during the Covid-19 pandemic are experiencing an economic decline and information uncertainty regarding the closure of tourism destinations. Meanwhile, visitors have difficulty accessing tourist destinations due to mobility restrictions in some areas. The policy of restricting access in several regions in Indonesia has a broad impact on other tourism destinations, and one of them is Pangandaran beach tourism area. It takes commitment from tourism businesses and awareness from visitors is the main key in implementing health protocols.

Abstract

This study aims to identify service priority attributes for online travel agency (OTA) mobile application development. A quantitative- descriptive research design was used in this study. Data collection was done through literature review and questionnaire surveys. The respondents in this study were 273 customers of OTA. The results showed that the service attribute with the highest importance was the fulfilment dimension with an average weighting of 4.84 out of 5. In the fulfilment dimension, the service attribute with code F3, which refers to the need for mobile applications to be able to deliver orders as quickly as possible, has the highest weight. In second place is the privacy dimension, with an average importance score of 4.80. In this dimension, service attribute P3, which refers to the ability of mobile applications to protect customers' credit card data, ranks first. In third place is the responsiveness dimension with an average importance value of 4.69. Attributes relating to the customer being able to speak directly to customer service in the event of problems are the attributes with the highest weighting on the responsiveness dimension.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and identify strategies through the Tongkonan revitalization program in increasing tourist attractiveness in the Kole Sawangan Tourism Village in a sustainable manner. Sources of data in this study were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the research show that the determination of strategies based on the results of the SWOT analysis in the Kole Sawangan Tourism Village. Determining strategies as much as possible to be able to optimally increase and empower the tourism potential in the Kole Sawangan Tourism Village so that it will encourage an increase in the economic level of the community.

Abstract

Karang tourism village is a pioneer tourism village that was just inaugurated in 2022. The management of the Karang tourism village involves various stakeholders consisting of academics, entrepreneurs, communities, association, and government. The performance of the management and development of the Karang tourism village is measured using several indicators that have an influence on the achievement of the tourism village management target. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach. Primary data was obtained through an instrument consisting of eight performances measured by their respective indicators. The data analysis technique used is scoring and data reduction. The results showed that the measurement results of the eight management performances of Karang tourism village showed the highest value of 2.17, namely institutional performance, while the lowest value was 0.33 namely marketing performance. The performance rating of the management of the Karang tourism village has not reached very good, but it has only reached good and sufficient, this is in accordance with the category as a pioneer tourism village. Management performance that has a good rating, namely institutions, tourist attractions, and amenities. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of attractions, location and price on the decision to visit the Hutan Pinus Pengger (Pengger Pine Forest), Bantul DIY. The method used is quantitative. The research process is deductive in nature to prove the hypothesis by using inferential statistics. The sampling technique used is nonprobability with purposive sampling. The number of samples is 100 respondents. the validity of the instrument was tested by validity and reliability test. To obtain accurate quantitative data, a Likert scale is used. The data used is primary data, which is used to determine respondents' perceptions of the variables of attraction, location and price as well as visiting decisions which are described in 29 statement items. Secondary data is also used to determine the number of tourists. The results showed that the attractions and location variables had a positive and significant effect on the decision of tourists to visit the Pengger Pine Forest. Meanwhile, the price variable has no significant effect on the decision of tourists to visit the Pengger Pine Forest
