Abstract

There are various factors that affect student learning outcomes, both internal and external factors. This study aims to get an overview of the influence of interest in learning and school language on mathematics learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative research with the type of ex-post facto which was conducted on class VII students of MTs Babussalam DDI Kassi. The sample was selected by simple random sampling technique. In conducting research, angles are used to measure interest in learning and the school environment as well as documentation of mathematics learning outcomes in the form of even semester scores. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, namely simple linear regression and multiple linear regression. The results of the analysis show that students' learning interest is in the high category with an average score of 61.97, the school environment is in the medium category with an average score of 57.13, and for mathematics learning outcomes is in the medium category with an average score of 79. 26. While the inferential test shows that interest in learning and the school environment have a positive effect on learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of developing mathematics learning media for two-variable linear equation systems in MTs Darul Falah Bikeru that meet valid, practical, and effective criteria. This research is in the form of Research and Development (R&D) research with the ADDIE development model. The procedure includes 5 stages, namely: (1) analysis stage, (2) design stage, (3) development stage, (4) implementation stage, (5) evaluate stage. The subject of this study was class VIII students at MTs Darul Falah Bikeru. The product that was successfully developed in this development is the XyMath application created using Inventor 2. The results of this study show that the development of Inventor 2-based XyMath learning media on the material of the Two-Variable Linear Equation System is feasible to use in MTs Darul Falah Bikeru. From the results of product trials, students are more interested and understand the material taught using XyMath learning media compared to using digital books

Abstract

The lack of understanding of students on other given problems indicates that students do not have conceptual abilities. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of mathematics learning through the application of a contextual approach to grade VIII students of SMP Nasional Makassar. The sample used is Cluster Random Sampling, where one class is randomly selected from six classes to determine the experimental class and the selected one is class VIIIF. In conducting research, mathematics learning outcomes tests are used, student activity observation sheets, learning implementation observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. Data collected through learning outcomes tests, student activity sheets, learning implementation sheets and questionnaires of student responses to mathematics learning through the application of a contextual approach will be analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The results of the analysis showed the completeness of mathematics learning outcomes with a score of 87.50%, student activities in participating in learning for four meetings were in the effective category, the percentage of learning implementation through the application of a contextual approach was 89.58%, based on the analysis of student response questionnaires obtained the average percentage of students who gave positive responses was 86.79%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the first semester and second semester competency test questions contained in the revised 2017 edition of the junior high school mathematics textbook based on the cognitive dimensions of TIMSS 2019. This type of research is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The data source in this study is the first semester competency test questions and the second semester competency test contained in the 2017 revised edition of the SMP/MTs grade VIII mathematics textbook written by Abdur Rahman As'ari, Mohammad Tohir, Erik Valentino, Zainul Imron and Ibnu Taufiq entitled "Mathematics" SMP/MTs grade VIII. The data collection technique used in this study is to use the documentation method. The results of data analysis show that questions with the cognitive dimension of knowledge (knowing) dominate the number material which is characterized by the explicit presentation of the problem so that in the process of solving the problem without doing the analysis first. Then the problem with the cognitive dimension of applying dominates the geometry material which is characterized by the presentation of problems in the form of routine problems with the cognitive process of solving problems using concepts and presenting mathematical information into mathematical models, and problems with the cognitive dimension of reasoning dominate algebraic material which is the highest cognitive level and the presentation of the problem is in the form of non-routine problems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' errors in solving questions on geometry material based on the SOLO taxonomy for class VII MTs Muhammadiyah. The research method used is qualitative research. The method of data collection was the test method, which involved giving questions to 31 class VII students of MTs Muhammadiyah Tanetea and conducting in-depth interviews with five (five) respondents who were selected by the researcher based on the level of response obtained by the students. The results show that the proportion of student response levels is as follows: as much as 61.3% of the total students are at the prestructural response level; 25.8% are at the unstructural response level; 12.9% are at the multistructural response level; and there were no students who were at the rational response level or extended abstract response level. It was concluded that class VII MTs students were at the prestructural response level.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the comparison of cooperative learning models of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) and Group Investigation (GI) types of learning outcomes for class X students of SMAN 8 Gowa. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with a Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were students of class X MIPA which were divided into 7 classes. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The instrument used is a student learning achievement test, which is divided into pretest and posttest. The analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the results of data analysis using SPSS, it shows the results of calculating the Sig. = 0.178> α = 0.05 which means H_0 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is no difference in learning outcomes between the cooperative learning models of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) and Group Investigation (GI) types on the learning outcomes of class X students of SMAN 8 Gowa.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of guided discovery-based mathematics teaching materials. The approach used is Research and Development (RnD) with the ADDIE development model. The test subjects in this study involved class IX students of SMPN 1 Sungguminasa. The research instrument used expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, student activity observation sheets, and learning achievement tests. The results of this study indicate that the modules developed using the ADDIE development model consist of an analysis stage, a design stage, a development stage, an implementation stage, and an evaluation stage by producing an invention-based mathematics module. valid, practical, and effective guidance. The results of the validation from the experts stated that the average value of the guided discovery-based module aspect on the subject of curvature with a validity value of 4.5 was in the "very valid" category. The results of the teacher's response questionnaire have a percentage of positive responses with an average of 87.5%. Then, it is known that the effectiveness of the module is 87.9% of students are in the complete category, the results of observations of student activity with an average of 57.1% are in the quite active category, and the average percentage of students' positive responses is 93.9%. Thus, this study resulted in a guided discovery-based mathematics module that can be applied in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process and results of module development based on the REACT strategy assisted by flipbook makers on class VII flat construction material that is valid, practical, and effective so that it is feasible to use. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model. The results showed that the validity criteria based on the validation results by the validator team was 3.68 in the "very valid" category. The practicality criteria were obtained based on the results of the questionnaire analysis of the teacher's response to the module by 91% in the "very positive" category and the observation of the teacher's ability to manage learning was 4.53 in the "good" category. From the two analysis results, the REACT strategy-based module met the practicality criteria. The results of the effectiveness criteria were obtained based on the results of the student response questionnaire analysis of 89.8% in the "very positive" category, observation of student activity during the learning process by 82% in the "very good" category, and the learning achievement test obtained completeness of 89%. so that the measurement results for effectiveness criteria are met. Thus it can be concluded that the REACT strategy-based module using the flipbook maker is feasible to be applied in the learning process.
