Abstract

The rapid growth of Indonesia’s specialty coffee industry has intensified competition, positioning product quality and brand image as critical factors influencing consumer purchase behavior. Although these variables have been extensively studied, prior research remains dominated by global brand contexts, offering limited insights into local coffee shop dynamics where consumer decisions are shaped by unique perceptions of quality and brand experience. This study investigates the effects of product quality and brand image on purchase decisions among Poin Coffee Taman Siswa, Sekaran consumers, using the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) as the theoretical foundation. TRA suggests that purchase behavior is driven by behavioral intentions, which arise from attitudes shaped by evaluative beliefs about a product. A quantitative explanatory design was applied, involving 100 respondents selected via purposive sampling. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, descriptive statistics, and multiple regression analysis. The results indicate that product quality and brand image have positive and significant effects both individually and simultaneously on purchase decisions. This study reinforces TRA’s applicability in explaining consumer attitudes and suggests future studies incorporate moderating variables such as word of mouth, pricing, and promotion.

Abstract

This study aims to explore women's involvement in the game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) from the perspective of their subjective experiences. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, this study involved eight female informants who actively play MLBB and have social experiences within the gaming community. The results show that women play four main roles: as active and strategic players, recipients of gender pressure, agents of resistance and adaptation, and representative symbols within the community. Despite facing various forms of discrimination and symbolic violence, the informants are able to navigate these challenges through contextual strategies of resistance and adaptation. These findings support theories of social construction and gender performativity and emphasize the importance of digital space as an arena for negotiating gender identity.

Abstract

Higher education institutions in Indonesia are facing increasing competition. Service quality is determined by variables such as tangiblility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. This research intends to investigate the gap in service quality between students’ perceptions and management at the State Polytechnic of Malang. This research uses primary data. Descriptive analysis is used to assess the level of service quality difference between the perceptions of the student and the perceptions of management. The result of this analysis is that the average value perceptions of consumers and students are smaller compared to the average value perceptions of management and service providers, which indicates that consumers remain dissatisfied with the quality of services offered by the institution. The results of this research can be used by management to identify the advantages and disadvantages of service quality and determine strategies that can meet the expectations of consumers and students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between Bata shoe quality, price perception, and repurchase intention in the Bandung Raya area, as mediated by customer satisfaction. Despite a positive growth trend in the national footwear market, the declining Top Brand Index for Bata shoes over the last three years suggests a decline in customer repurchase interest. A total of 120 respondents who had purchased or worn Bata shoes at least once in the past 12 months were given questionnaires as part of this study's quantitative survey methodology. The Sobel test and multiple regression were used to assess the mediating role and interpret the data. The results show that perceptions of product quality and pricing have a favourable and significant impact on both consumer satisfaction and repurchase intention. Additionally, it has been demonstrated that the relationship between repurchase intention and perceptions of price and product quality is mediated by customer satisfaction. PT Sepatu Bata Tbk's management will likely use these findings to create marketing plans that prioritise raising customer satisfaction, modifying price perception, and enhancing product quality to promote repurchase intention.

Abstract

This study will discuss the factors that influence the intrinsic motivation of lecturers in the process of functional promotion from Lecturer to Associate Lecturer in the State Christian Religious College (PTKKN) under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, namely the State Christian Institute (IAKN) Kupang. In addition, this study will also analyze the efficiency of the administrative procedures applied in the process, including the obstacles faced and efforts to improve them. The method used is a qualitative research method with a case study research type. The findings and analysis of the intrinsic motivation of lecturers at IAKN Kupang in applying for functional promotion from Lecturer to Associate Lecturer are driven by the need to achieve recognition and self-actualization as described in Maslow's theory. The lecturers' desire to develop academically, gain recognition for scientific performance, and contribute more broadly to the tridharma are the main driving forces. However, this motivation cannot always be implemented optimally due to obstacles in the efficiency of administrative procedures. Irregular flow, minimal mentoring, and lack of clarity of technical information lead to feelings of insecurity, confusion, and psychological exhaustion, which directly reduce the lecturers' intrinsic motivation. Low administrative efficiency not only impacts individual productivity but also has implications for the overall development of the institution. Therefore, the success of the lecturer promotion process is inextricably linked to the integration of the lecturer's intrinsic motivation and an efficient and supportive institutional administration system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze collaborative governance practices in the management of sustainable local tourist destinations in Liman Beach, South Semau District. Sustainable tourism, according to the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO, 2018), considers economic, social, and environmental impacts to meet the needs of tourists and host communities. The collaborative governance model developed by Ansell and Gash (2008) is a reference in evaluating the interaction between actors in building consensus and shared responsibility. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach to evaluate the relationship between stakeholders and institutions that support sustainable tourism management. The results of the analysis show that although initial interaction between actors has occurred, structured and inclusive collaborative practices have not been established due to government dominance, lack of formal recognition of local communities, and lack of inclusive institutions. This study concludes that strengthening customary institutions, involvement of the private sector, and empowering local communities through deliberative forums are key in creating sustainable and equitable tourism management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Perceived Organizational Justice and Organizational Commitment on Whistleblowing Intention, with Job Satisfaction as an intervening variable among employees of PT Maybank Indonesia. A quantitative approach was used in this study, collecting data through an online questionnaire distributed to 45 respondents. The analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using the SmartPLS 4 application. The results indicate that perceived organizational justice significantly influences whistleblowing intention, but does not significantly influence job satisfaction. Conversely, organizational commitment significantly influences job satisfaction, but does not directly influence whistleblowing intention. Job satisfaction was shown to act as a partial mediator in the relationship between organizational commitment and whistleblowing intention, but did not mediate the effect of perceived organizational justice on whistleblowing intention. These findings provide important implications for organizations to consider aspects of job satisfaction and commitment in an effort to foster a healthy whistleblowing culture. This study also recommends the development of internal policies and a secure reporting system to increase employee participation in whistleblowing disclosures.
