Methodology/approach: The PKM activity in Langko Village was carried out in three stages, namely preparation including a location survey to obtain permission from local government officials and prepare the necessary facilities and infrastructure needed during the activity, the second stage is providing education through lectures and material brochures, discussions, and measuring the level of community satisfaction with the activities carried out through activity evaluation by distributing questionnaires, and the third stage is distributing assistance to the community present in the form of basic necessities. Results: The community was very satisfied with this educational activity, with an average satisfaction value of 98% from six satisfaction assessment indicators. Conclusions: The community health education program successfully enhanced local knowledge of schistosomiasis treatment options, demonstrating high community acceptance of both conventional pharmaceutical interventions and traditional betel nut therapy. Limitations: The limitations of this PKM activity have not been able to reach all the snail focus areas because road access is still damaged. Abstract

Purpose: This training aims to increase participants' understanding of calculating profit and loss for products and services to optimize business profits in small and medium businesses according to applicable accounting standards. Methodology/approach: The training was held at Sekolah Kewirausahaan Bina Amanah Cordova in December 2023 and was attended by 18 participants. This activity uses training and counseling methods supported by tools and equipment such as projectors and laptops, with activity stages that include presentation material, calculation simulations, question and answer sessions, and group discussions. Results/findings: Based on the results of the questionnaire, it can be seen that this training had a positive impact on participants' understanding of preparing profit and loss reports and making simple financial reports, although there were several challenges related to limited time and limited individual assistance. Conclusions: This training has proven effective in increasing the basic understanding of MSME actors in preparing simple financial reports and can be a strategic solution to overcome accounting limitations through an applied and sustainable approach. Limitations: The limitations of this study are that the sample only includes participants from SKBA Cordova in Pondok Aren; therefore, the results may not represent all MSMEs in Indonesia. Moreover, the short training duration and evaluation based solely on post-training questionnaires were insufficient to fully reflect participants’ improvement in accounting skills. Contribution: This training shows great potential for helping business people optimize their financial management. Future recommendations include continued training, individual mentoring, and the development of online training modules

Abstract

Purpose: The Abdimas team aims to empower Baduy women to read, write, and count, as well as provide health education related to PHBS and demonstrate a healthy toilet renovation Methodology/approach: The community service activities were carried out in Kanekes Village, Baduy Luar, from May to July 2024. The community service approach involved training 40 Baduy women to participate in health education and simple reading, writing, and counting training over three months, including building an example of a healthy toilet Results/findings: Of the 40 who participated until the final evaluation, only 15 remained. This is related to the constraints of the distance to the location, which is far from their homes (activities are centered at the Jaro official residence), and the establishment of a healthy place to wash, bathe, and use the restroom (MCK). Conclutions: The enthusiasm of Baduy women to improve family welfare and increase knowledge is very strong, but it requires support from the local government to assist residents by conducting reading, writing, and arithmetic classes in small groups in adjacent houses. Additionally, there is a need for financial support for the renovation of healthy public toilets. Limitations: The duration of the program may not be sufficient to measure the long-term impact on family well-being and changes in health behavior. Contribution: This community services provides a contextual approach to empowering women in indigenous communities such as Baduy Luar, which are typically seldom reached by modern education and health interventions

Abstract

Purpose: This community service aims to provide training and develop strategies to improve the quality of small businesses based on the classification of SMEs in Palembang, South Sumatra. Methodology/approach: This research was conducted using a sample of data from 15 printing MSMEs in Palembang. The methodology follows a systematic process involving classification and association analysis. Data attributes such as Business Status, Business Classification, Place of Birth, Age, Gender, Education, Occupation, Marital Status, and Domicile were selected and transformed for analysis. The classification and association algorithms were applied to reveal the relationships between variables, using relevant categorization such as age groups (e.g., early adulthood, late adulthood, etc.). Results/findings: The findings show that by categorizing and analyzing the attributes of the MSMEs, strategies effectively enhance their income and operational efficiency. Moreover, the study found that 76% of participants successfully implemented appropriate strategies following the training. On average, businesses experienced a 15% increase in income and a 20% improvement in production efficiency. Conclusions: This training significantly contributed to improving the performance of printing MSMEs in Palembang by enhancing entrepreneurs’ understanding of business classification, operational efficiency, and targeted development strategies. It also fostered collaboration and strengthened business networks to support MSME competitiveness. Limitations: The limitation lies in the sample size, which includes only 15 printing MSMEs. This may limit the generalizability of the findings to other MSMEs in different regions or industries. Additionally, the data collected is based on self-reported information, which could introduce bias or inaccuracies in the analysis. Contribution: This study contributes to SME development by emphasizing the importance of classification-based strategies. The findings offer valuable insights for policymakers, training organizations, and SME owners in creating more targeted, effective strategies to enhance SME performance in Palembang.
