Methodology: The service activity was conducted in Simongagrok village, Dawarblandong District, Mojokerto, on October 9 and 30, 2024. The methods used included needs analysis, website development, village apparatus training, and evaluation of implementation effectiveness. The developed website has key features such as village information, online administration services, budget transparency, community aspiration forums, and local business directories. Results: Village websites enhance information access, budget transparency, administrative services, and two-way communication to support modern and accountable governance. Conclusions: The Simongagrok Village website has succeeded in increasing transparency, accelerating access to information, and simplifying administrative services in the village. Limitations: The low digital literacy of the community, limited Internet access in some areas, and lack of trained human resources to manage the village website sustainably. Contribution: This service activity is beneficial for village governance in Simongagrok, especially in the fields of e-government, information technology, and community participation, and can be applied in other rural areas to increase the transparency and efficiency of public services.

Abstract

Purpose: The community service program aims to increase parents’ awareness, especially mothers, regarding the importance of planning children's education and finances. Methodology/approach: The program was implemented in the RT 02 RW 08 area of Pedurungan Lor Village, Semarang City. Specifically, the activity was presented by mothers who were members of the RT 02 RW 08 PKK Group. The method used was socialization about the challenges and benefits of children's education, followed by a survey of parental awareness regarding children's education and planning. Results/findings: The program was conducted with 21 participants, of which only 14 percent were college graduates, while 86 percent had lower education levels. The data show that the participants understand that education for children up to college is very important and needs to be pursued. The implementation of the activity also facilitated participants with smart wallets to help them manage their family finances. Conclusion: Parents believe in the importance of education for their children, but this is not followed by an affirmative action to increase children's awareness of the importance of education. This might increase the gap between parents' expectations and children’s attitudes and understanding of their education. Limitation: Community service activities were limited by time and frequency of meetings. Awareness should be increased more effectively by holding more meetings and conducting regular training on financial planning. Contribution: However, the program has contributed to initiating ideas and awareness in society.

Abstract

Purpose: Central Lampung Regency faces complex social challenges due to land disputes, ethnic differences, and economic inequality, which increase the risk of social conflict. The limited capacity of local government officials in identifying and mapping conflict-prone areas is a major obstacle to mitigation efforts. This study aims to enhance the capacity of local government officials in social conflict mapping to support evidence-based preventive policies. Methodology: The social conflict mapping training was conducted in three phases: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Participants from various Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) were trained in conflict theory, mapping techniques, and data utilization for decision-making. The effectiveness of the training was evaluated through pre-tests, post-tests, and feedback questionnaires. Results: The training significantly improved participants' understanding and skills, with the average pre-test score of 60 increasing to 85 in the post-test. Feedback questionnaires indicated high appreciation for the relevance of the materials and interactive learning methods. Participant discussions successfully identified areas with high conflict potential and formulated mitigation strategies based on mapping. Conclusion: Training in Central Lampung effectively improved conflict mapping skills, with increased scores and calls for more practical sessions and sustained support. Limitations: The training was limited by its relatively short duration and constraints in GIS practice facilities. Additionally, the long-term effectiveness of this training has not yet been comprehensively measured. Contribution: This study contributes to improving the capacity of local government officials in social conflict mapping and provides recommendations for future training improvements.

Purpose: The primary aim of this program is to improve the students’ public speaking skills, enabling them to confidently deliver messages and communicate effectively in front of others. Methodology: The program was conducted in a structured manner, beginning with an intensive public speaking training session, followed by weekly mentoring over a month. The training covered voice control, body language, and message delivery strategies. The role-play-based mentoring was held in two main practice rooms, the dakwah and sholawat/qoriah rooms, providing realistic environments for students to practice. Results: The program successfully increased participants' self-confidence, as evidenced by their enhanced willingness to speak in public, deliver religious messages, and engage in social interactions. This service has proven to be effective in improving students' communication skills, which are crucial for both religious preaching (dakwah) and everyday social interactions. Conclusion: In conclusion, the structured combination of public speaking training and role-play-based mentoring is an effective approach to developing self-confidence and communication skills among Islamic boarding school students. Future improvements, such as the integration of audiovisual tools, may further strengthen the program’s outcomes. Limitations: The activity did not incorporate audio-visual media, which slightly hindered the impact of some presentation methods. Future sessions may benefit from using tools like projectors and microphones to enhance learning and practice. Contribution: This program has positively impacted the participants by enhancing their public speaking abilities, which will be beneficial for both their religious and social engagement.
