Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi otomotif mendorong kebutuhan material yang ringan, kuat, aman, efisien, dan berkelanjutan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memperluas wawasan mahasiswa vokasi mengenai karakteristik, keunggulan, dan penerapan material komposit pada komponen otomotif melalui kuliah tamu. Kegiatan dilaksanakan oleh Program Studi Teknologi Rekayasa Otomotif Fakultas Vokasi Universitas Negeri Malang melalui tahapan identifikasi kebutuhan, penyampaian materi pakar, diskusi interaktif, dan evaluasi. Sebanyak 30 peserta mengisi 10 butir angket menggunakan skala Likert 1–5. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan rata-rata skor 4,42 dengan kategori sangat baik. Kegiatan berkontribusi terhadap pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai inovasi material, penerapannya pada komponen otomotif, serta kaitannya dengan efisiensi energi dan keberlanjutan.

Abstract

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is an important component of the professional competence of automotive workers. This community service activity aimed to strengthen students’ knowledge of OHS implementation through an expert guest lecture entitled “Safety First: Strategies for OHS Implementation in the Modern Industrial Era.” The activity was conducted by the Automotive Engineering Technology Study Program, Faculty of Vocational Studies, Universitas Negeri Malang, using a contextual and reflective learning approach through problem orientation, an expert lecture, work-situation-based discussion, and evaluation. A total of 30 students completed a 10-item evaluation instrument using a 1–5 Likert scale. The evaluation results showed an overall mean score of 4.48, categorized as very good, with the highest score obtained for the relevance of the material to Automotive Engineering Technology (4.57). The activity contributed to strengthening students’ understanding of workplace risks, personal protective equipment (PPE), safe work procedures, safety culture, and readiness to enter automotive work environments.

Abstract

Automotive metrology competence is an important component of technical skills because it involves measurement accuracy, result interpretation, and technical decision-making. This community service activity aimed to strengthen the automotive metrology competence of vocational high school students through a national-level measurement skills competition. The activity was conducted as part of VOCASPIRA Fest 2025 and involved 88 students from automotive vocational schools across Indonesia. The activity used a competition-based learning approach consisting of technical orientation, practical measurement, performance assessment, finalist selection, and participant evaluation. A total of 88 participants were used as evaluation respondents using a 10-item questionnaire with a 1–5 Likert scale. The results showed an overall mean score of 4.48, categorized as very good, equivalent to 89.6% of the maximum score. The practical measurement experience aspect obtained the highest score of 91.0%, while participants’ ability to interpret measurement results reached 90.4%. The activity provided a competitive and structured practical learning experience to strengthen students’ accuracy, precision, measurement interpretation, and readiness to meet automotive industry competency requirements.

Abstract

: In the context of vocational high school education, effective communication involves more than just the ability to speak. Vocational high school students must be able to communicate their technical knowledge to people who may not share the same background. This community engagement initiative aims to provide training in effective communication based on digital literacy to pupils at SMK Negeri 1 Klari. The community engagement approach employed was Participatory Action Research (PAR). Consequently, this community engagement project implemented the five stages of PAR in a phased manner. The participants in this activity were Year 11 students at SMK Negeri 1 Klari. The results of this activity indicate that training in effective communication based on digital literacy can be utilised by schools as a tool to instil digital ethics in students prior to undertaking their Work Experience Placement (PKL). Students do not merely practise communication skills, they also identify and analyse digital ethics and responsibilities in the workplace. Abstract

Managing 24-hour electrical energy consumption in healthcare facilities requires efficiency without compromising service quality. This community service initiative, conducted in collaboration with the Dr. Efram Harsana Air Force Hospital (RSAU) at Iswahjudi Air Force Base, aimed to assess energy usage and formulate efficiency recommendations for the Emergency Department (IGD) and the Jupiter and Mars Pavilions. Activities included site observations, interviews, electrical system identification, and the measurement of electrical and environmental parameters—using tools such as power quality analyzers, lux meters, thermohygrometers, clamp meters, and thermal cameras—followed by data processing, Energy Intensity (IKE) calculations, and the presentation of recommendations to the partner. Results indicated installed loads of 10,359.5 W for the IGD, 16,664 W for the Jupiter Pavilion, and 14,713.5 W for the Mars Pavilion. Findings included a power factor of 0.469 for the Jupiter Pavilion, current imbalances of 66.8% (IGD) and 27.1% (Jupiter Pavilion), and a Total Harmonic Distortion of Current (THDI) of 15.62% for the Mars Pavilion. Several rooms failed to meet lighting and thermal comfort standards. Recommendations focused on load balancing, evaluating reactive power compensation, monitoring harmonics, optimizing lighting and air conditioning systems, installing metering instruments, and implementing periodic maintenance to support the partner's energy management.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan pengetahuan guru dalam mengidentifikasi dan menangani anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK) di SD Negeri 03 Simpang Rumbio Kota Solok. Kondisi tersebut menyebabkan guru mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami karakteristik ABK, melakukan asesmen awal, serta menyesuaikan pembelajaran dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam mengenali karakteristik ABK serta mendukung pengelolaan pembelajaran di sekolah inklusi. Pengabdian dilaksanakan menggunakan pendekatan Community Based Research (CBR) melalui empat fase, yaitu membangun prinsip dan konsep dasar, perencanaan, pengumpulan informasi dan analisis, serta aksi atas temuan. Kegiatan meliputi wawancara, diskusi, penyusunan dan validasi buku saku, psikoedukasi, sosialisasi, praktik asesmen, observasi kelas, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa guru memperoleh pemahaman mengenai karakteristik ABK dan cara melakukan asesmen, serta memiliki buku saku sebagai pedoman identifikasi. Buku saku memperoleh penilaian kepraktisan sebesar 4,33 dari 5,00 dan dinilai layak digunakan sebagai pedoman guru.
