Abstract

The closeness between Indonesian scholars (ulama) and scholars from Hadhramaut, Yemen, is undeniable, as we have known through various literature and the existence of habaib (Islamic scholars) in Indonesia. The Dauroh Shoifiyyah Tarim Hadhramaut program in 2023 was conducted in Darul Musthafa and Daruzzahra, Hadhramaut. This research aims to describe and explain the learning program, the supporting factors, the hindering factors, and the impacts of the Dauroh Shoifiyyah program in 2023. This research was conducted using a qualitative method, specifically phenomenological research. The learning program of Dauroh Shoifiyyah covers topics such as creed (aqidah), jurisprudence (fiqih), interpretation of the Quran (tafsir), traditions of the Prophet (hadis), the biography of the Prophet (sirah nabawiyah), transactions (muamalah), Islamic mysticism (tasawuf), preaching (dakwah), and retracing the steps of past scholars (napak tilas ulama-ulama terdahulu). Supporting factors for this program can be found in the services provided by the Dauroh committee, while hindering factors include health issues and language differences. The impacts generated include serving as role models for teachers emulated by the participants and the cultivation of the habit of remembrance (dhikr) and sending blessings upon the Prophet (bershalawat) by the participants. Keywords: Learning, Dauroh, Habib Omar, Tarim

Abstract

The purpose of portfolio assessment is to serve as a formative and summative assessment tool. As a tool for formative assessment, portfolios are used to track students' daily development and motivate them to think critically about what they have learned. This study employed a qualitative research methodology, utilizing library research. Although some schools have begun to utilize it and the government has suggested that portfolio assessment be used at all educational levels, it is still seen as novel in Indonesia. Depending on the content, a portfolio can take many different forms. Some include documents, images, essays, and more. Furthermore, the purpose of a portfolio can vary depending on whether it is used for formative or summative evaluation. Generally speaking, during formative or diagnostic assessments, all students work is included, whether it is still a draft or semi-finished work or the final result. For summative assessment, not all work is included, only work that is relevant for assessment is included in the portfolio. Keywords: Evaluation, Portofolio, Assesment

Abstract

Character education has become increasingly crucial in addressing moral challenges in the ever-evolving digital era. This article discusses the approach of integrating moral values into technology-based curricula as a relevant and effective means of shaping students' character. The integration of moral values entails aligning ethical values throughout the curriculum, not treating them as separate subjects. Both teachers and parents play a vital role as role models who exemplify moral behavior to students. They not only teach moral values but also embody them in their daily actions, creating a consistent environment to support students' character development. In addition to traditional classroom learning, this approach encourages practical experiences such as community service, social projects, and extracurricular activities, providing students with opportunities to apply moral values in real-life situations. Continuous evaluation and feedback allow students to monitor their character development. This approach also takes into account cultural contexts and local values, respecting the diversity of moral values worldwide. Integrating moral values into technology-based curricula establishes a strong moral foundation for students to confront moral challenges in the continuously evolving digital world. محاولة تأصيلية لمذهب أهل السنة والجماعة في مؤلفات الشيخ نووي الجاويوتفسيره نموذجامحمد فردوس*، فطريانا رشاي علي **muhammad.firdaus@uinjkt.ac.id*fitriana@uinjkt.ac.id** *المحاضر بالدراسات العليا قسم إدارة الدعوة بالجامعة الإسلامية الحكومية الشريف هدايات الله جاكرتا** المحاضر بالدراسات العليا قسم علوم القرآن والتفسير بالجامعة الإسلامية الحكومية الشريف هدايات الله جاكرتا   ملخص البحث  يحاول هذا البحث بصورته المتواضع التعرف على مدى التزام الشعب الإندونيسي بعقيدة أهل السنة والجماعة، وعلى وجه الخصوص مثابرة الشيخ نووي الجاوي في احتراسه ما ذهب إليه أهل السنة والجماعة في عدة المسائل، عقيدة وشريعة وأخلاقا. المشكلة التي يواجهها الباحث هي البحث عن  أقوال الشيخ نووي الجاوي التي تشير إلى اهتمامه بالمباحث العقلية ردا على الفرق المخالفة كالخوارج، والمعتزلة، والجهمية، وأهل الكلام، والفلاسفة، وذلك بتتبع ما شرح إليه الشيخ نووي الجاوي في مؤلفاته. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحقيق ما جعل الشيخ نووي الجاوي رائده في ترسيخ منهاجه العقدي وتحليلاته العقلية في بلورة الأصول الإيمانية عند أهل السنة والجماعة. المنهج المتبع في هذه الدراسة هو المنهج الموضوعي، ويتم ذلك من خلال تتبع أقول الشيخ نووي الجاوي، وما لاحظ عليها العلماء والخبراء، مع الاستعانة بالمراجع الحديثة الأخرى من كتب التفاسير والأحاديث واللغة وغيرها. البحث منقسم إلى ثلاثة مطالب، المطلب الأول: المنهج الإجمالي لأهل السنة والجماعة في مؤلفات الشيخ نووي الجاوي. المطلب الثاني: موقف الشيخ نووي الجاوي من المباحث العقلية. المطلب الثالث: الخاتمة وأهم النتائج والتوصيات. "Strengthening Islamic Faith: Analysing Syekh Nawawi Al-Jawi's Contribution to Ahlussunnah Wal Jama'ah Belief in Indonesian Society through Aqidah, Shariah, and Morals"  AbstractThis study explains the extent of the Indonesian people's commitment to the ahlussunnah wal jama'ah belief, significantly the persistence of Syekh Nawawi Al-Jawi in maintaining the understanding of ahlussunnah wal jama'ah in case studies related to aqidah, shari'ah and morals. The background of the problem the author faces is examining the words of Sheikh Nawawi Al-Jawi, who shows his concern for theology in explaining the deviations committed by the Khawarij, Mu'tazilah, Jahmiyyah, theologians and philosophers by quoting the information presented by the Sheikh. Nawawi Al-Jawi in his books. This research aims to realise what has been pioneered by Syekh Nawawi Al-Jawi in strengthening the Islamic faith in Indonesian society -formerly until now- regarding theology which can be understood rationally through the method of studying the science of Kalam which is by the understanding of ahlussunnah wal jama'ah. The method used in this study is the thematic method, by observing the words of Sheikh Nawawi Al-Jawi and what the competent scholars pay attention to in the field of kalam by including other modern references from books of interpretation, hadith, language and others. This research is divided into three parts; the first part: a global explanation regarding ahlussunnah wal jama'ah in books written by Syekh Nawawi al-Jawi. The second part: the views and attitudes of Sheikh Nawawi Al-Jawi in discussing the science of kalam. Abstract

In the learning process, a teacher's job is not only to be an educator, or even just to convey learning material to students, but a teacher must also act as an evaluator. The role of education as an evaluator in the learning process must and must use the principles of learning evaluation, namely the principles of continuity, comprehensiveness, objectivity and practicality. Through the implementation of the principles of learning evaluation, a quality learning process and maximum learning outcomes in achieving learning goals are obtained. The aim of implementing learning evaluation is to obtain evidentiary data that shows the level of student ability and success in achieving learning objectives. Apart from that, it can also be used by teachers and educational supervisors to measure or assess the effectiveness of teaching experiences, learning activities and learning methods used in the learning process. Abstract

The Religious Education course is one of the Personality Development Courses (MPK). Based on the 2006 Director General of Higher Education Decree, every university has the right to develop MPK signs according to their respective characteristics. Therefore, this paper wants to discuss the implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning at the Vocational Faculty of Nahdlatul Ulama University Lampung, which of course is a bit different from learning Islamic Religious Education in General Universities. The main objective of the Vocational Faculty is to prepare graduates who are ready to work and have high performance, therefore the lecturers of Islamic Education at the Faculty of Vocational Studies at Nahdlatul Ulama University, Lampung, try to bridge the gap between religious understanding and practice in the world of work, especially on the subject matter of "Work Ethic in Islam".

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is a breakthrough in the field of educational technology to facilitate learning. The wise and controlled use of technology can trigger the acceleration of education. The emergence of artificial intelligence technology can also instill an independent nature in students. Teachers are not burdened with such a dominant role, however, their duties are specific in the scope of providing enlightenment with substantial keywords. The basis of every use of technology for teachers is to continue to prioritize the essence of teaching, namely managing the morals and behavior of students. Students developing their emotional intelligence can take advantage of AI technology by sorting out the good things from the uses of AI so that educational technology can help them control and monitor their own learning, enabling them to live and work well in the future.

Abstract

Wasatiyyah Islamic Religious Education remains an important issue today, especially sincesocial conditions are faced with the challenges of increasingly open radicalism movements.Wasatiyyah Islamic Religious Education can be used as an anti-radicalism movement. Thisthesis analyzes the problem of wasatiyyah Islamic religious education at the DarussalamahAl-Mubarok Islamic Boarding School, Cianjur, West Java. There are three questions posed:First, what are the symptoms of Islamic radicalism in Islamic boarding schools? Second,how to prevent Islamic radicalism in Islamic boarding schools? How can the concept ofwasatiyyah Islamic education be used as a solution to prevent radical Islamic education? Inorder to answer the above problems, qualitative data collection was carried out throughobservation, interviews, and documentation at the Darussalamah Al-Mubarok IslamicBoarding School, Cianjur, West Java.There were 10 informants interviewed by the researcher. The results of the study show that:First, in concept and practice the symptoms of radicalism are characterized by anunderstanding of shariah which is the main doctrine in radical Islamic organizations suchas: shariah understanding of the Leadership System ( Daulah/Khilafah ), Application ofIslamic Law ( Tahkim al-Syariah ), War ( Jihad ), Mahdhah Worship, and Loyalty toMuslims and Deliverance from Kafirs ( Al-Wala' wa Al-Bara' ). Second, after experiencingchanges in Islamic boarding schools to prevent with wasatiyyah Islamic education. Third,practically wasatiyyah Islamic education has succeeded in changing the understanding andactions of pesantren elements (clerics, ustadz, santri, and other administrators). Due to thissocio-religious change, Darussalamah Al-Mubarok Islamic Boarding School hopes: to re-adapt to the wasatiyyah Islamic education environment or adapt the community environmentto the needs of the pesantren; to position the aim of the pesantren as a regulator ofcommunity relations with other diverse social systems; and to maintain the identity of thepesantren as a wasatiyyah Islamic institution.Keywords: Pesantren, Islamic Radicalism, Wasatiyyah Islamic Education.

Abstract

The issue of delinquency among students is regrettable, as it deviates from the objectives of education, especially Islamic education. Islamic education, as the cornerstone of character development, becomes an important factor to examine in order to find solutions. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with a comparative analysis between two literatures, namely Minhajul Muta’allim by Imam Al-Ghazali and Tadzkiratussami’ Wal Mutakallim Fi Adabil Alim Wal Muta'allim  by Imam Badruddin Ibnu Jamaah. The study found that the character traits that should be developed in the world of education include purifying the soul, honoring the teacher, having good character towards oneself, and exhibiting good character towards the subject matter. All of these elements are essential to internalize Islamic values into the students' lives.
