Abstract

The process of removing and installing rivets when replacing the brake lining pad takes a long time. This process takes a long time because technicians still use manual methods, namely chisels and hammers. This research aims to reduce the time in this process by creating special service tools (SST). The method used is making 2D, and 3D designs, and stress analysis to determine the size and durability of the SST using Inventor 2023 software. Next, make an SST prototype and standard operating procedures (SOP) for how to use the SST Press Nail Rivet as a new procedure for removing and installing the rivets on the brake lining pad. This research was able to speed up the previously 8 hours 36 minutes, the workshop target was 7 hours 55 minutes. But the actual condition is 6 hours 50 minutes. Thus reducing lead time by 20% from the initial time. With the SST Press Rivet Nails on the Brake Lining Pad, the job of removing and installing rivets during the brake lining replacement process becomes faster and safer.Pada proses pelepasan dan pemasangan paku rivet pada pergantian brake lining pad membutuhkan waktu yang lama. Lamanya proses tersebut dikarenakan teknisi masih menggunakan cara manual, yaitu dengan pahat dan palu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi waktu pada proses tersebut dengan membuat special service tools (SST). Metode yang digunakan yaitu pembuatan desain 2D,3D, dan analysis stress untuk menentukan ukuran serta ketahanan dari SST dengan menggunakan software inventor 2023. Selanjutnya membuat prototyipe SST dan standar operasional prosedur (SOP) untuk cara penggunaan dari SST Press Paku Rivet sebagai prosedur baru dalam melepas dan memasang paku rivet pada brake lining pad. Pada penelitian ini mampu mempercepat yang tadinya 8 jam 36 menit, target bengkel adalah 7 jam 55 menit. Tetapi kondisi aktualnya adalah 6 jam 50 menit. Sehingga menurunkan lead time sebesar 20% dari waktu awal. Dengan adanya SST Press Paku Rivet Pada Brake Lining Pad pekerjaan melepas dan memasang paku rivet pada proses pergantian brake lining menjadi lebih cepat dan aman.

Abstract

The research aims to determine: (1) The process of developing the Toyota Avanza K3-VE engine management system training kit; (2) Feasibility of the developed Toyota Avanza K3-VE engine management system training kit; and (3) The effectiveness of the developed Toyota Avanza K3-VE engine management system training kit. The type of research used is development research using a 4-D model. The research subjects consisted of 20 students, while the research object was the Toyota Avanza K3-VE engine management system training kit. Data collection uses observation, questionnaires and tests. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively, quantitatively, and inferentially using gain test statistics. The research results show that: (1) The process of developing the Toyota Avanza K3-VE engine management system training kit with the 4-D model includes 4 stages, namely define, design, develop and disseminate; (2) The feasibility test of the Toyota Avanza K3-VE engine management system training kit obtained very good results with details of the average results from media experts at 88.75%, from material experts at 92.50%, from lecturers at 92.50 %, from small group trials 86%, and from large group trials 87.75%; and (3) The effectiveness test results show that the Toyota Avanza K3-VE engine management system training kit developed is effective for use in lectures with an N-gain result of 0.62.

Abstract

AbstrakDengan menggunakan metode pengembangan penelitian dan pendekatan RD dengan model ADDIE, saya yakin pengembangan media pembelajaran yang interaktif dan menarik akan meningkatkan pemahaman dan minat siswa dalam mempelajari materi gambar teknik. Selanjutnya saya berharap media pembelajaran yang saya kembangkan dapat memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran gambar teknik di SMK. Hasil penelitian dari media Microsoft PowerPoint yang saya kembangkan terlebih dahulu saya desain materinya dalam Microsoft PowerPoint dan setelah itu saya membuat video tutorial gambar teknik disertai dengan soal evaluasi untuk siswa. Abstract

A steer-by-wire (SBW) system with linear sensors has been developed and implemented on a small electric vehicle (EV). This system comprises a steering wheel, an angle and torque sensor, a wheel angle feedback sensor, an electric motor actuator, linkages, and a controller. It is specifically designed to electrically control the wheel angles without utilizing a conventional steering gearbox. The electric actuator motor is mounted on the steering mechanism and directly connected to the left and right wheel knuckles via linkages. Two linear sensors are employed: one located on the steering wheel to generate steering wheel angle signal , and the other installed on the wheel knuckle mechanism to produce front wheel angle feedback signal . When the driver rotates the steering wheel, the controller calculates the pitch error based on inputs from the two linear sensors and subsequently adjusts the wheel angles by powering the electric motor actuator. Experimental testing revealed a response time of 0.3 seconds, with the pitch error maintained within an angle of less than 3° during straight-motion tests. During cornering motion tests, the measured backlash was approximately 0.06 rad, demonstrating the system's responsive performance. This SBW technology with linear sensors is anticipated to reduce system complexity while enhancing precision, accuracy, and response speed of wheel angle adjustments to steering inputs, effectively meeting driving requirements.

Abstract

Ramp check is a process used to ensure that vehicles used for public transportation meet safety requirements. The ramp check procedure has developed from a manual technique to a digital system thanks to advances in technology, and can now be done through a platform called ramp check online or Go Ramp . By utilizing information technology, this approach makes vehicle inspections more transparent, accurate and efficient. Go Ramp enables fast and real-time verification of vehicle technical specifications, validates administrative documents, and assesses the driver's physical well-being. Time efficiency, data quality, process transparency, ease of access for vehicle owners, and centralized monitoring by relevant authorities are some of the main advantages of this system. Online ramp inspection is expected to improve traffic safety, reduce accident rates, and ensure that all cars on the road comply with established safety regulations. Abstract

AbstractThe problem in the Engineering Materials class is that students still consider the Engineering Materials course to be material that is difficult to understand. With these problems, this research aims to develop the "Static Structural" module with an experiential learning approach in the Engineering Materials course using the finite element method. This type of research is RD (research and development) which refers to the 4D development model: defining, designing, developing and disseminating. The data analysis technique used is included in descriptive statistics where the calculated data is analyzed. After validation was carried out by experts on material, language and design aspects, qualitative data was collected and then processed into quantitative data which was compiled in a validation recapitulation. The results of this research show that the module is declared feasible as a whole with an average score of 3,212 and 80,321% from the expert validator assessment, while in small group trials it gets an average score of 3,495 and a percentage of 87,368%, resulting in a very interesting category as a teaching medium in Engineering Materials courseAbstrakPermasalahan di kelas Bahan Teknik didapatkan bahwa mahasiswa masih menganggap mata kuliah Bahan Teknik merupakan materi yang sulit dipahami. Dengan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan pengembangan modul “Static Structural” dengan pendekatan experiential learning pada mata kuliah Bahan Teknik menggunakan finite element method. Jenis penelitian ini RD (research and development) yang mengacu pada model pengembangan 4D: pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop) dan diseminasi (disseminate). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan termasuk dalam statistik deskriptif dimana data yang telah dihitung dilakukan analisa. Setelah dilakukan validasi ke ahli aspek materi, bahasa dan desain, pengumpulan data kualitatif dilakukan kemudian diolah menjadi data kuantitaif yang tersusun di rekapitulasi validasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa modul dinyatakan layak secara keseluruhan dengan skor rata-rata 3,212 dan 80.321% dari penilaian validator ahli, sedangkan dalam uji coba kelompok kecil mendapatkan  nilai skor rata-rata 3.495 dan persentase 87.368% sehingga didapatkan kategori sangat menarik sebagai media pengajaran dalam mata kuliah Bahan Teknik.

Abstract

 Kecelakaan lalu lintas yang terjadi di Indonesia menurut Polri pada tahun 2023 sebesar 148.575. Penyebab kecelakaan tersebut, sebesar 61% karena faktor manusia, sebanyak 9% disebabkan faktor Mobil barangdan 30% disebabkan oleh faktor prasarana dan lingkungan. Mobil barang yang terlibat dalam kecelakaan meliputi sepeda motor sebanyak 73% dan angkutan barang sebanyak 12%. Salah satu upaya pengurangan penyebab kecelakaan lalu lintas, yang disebabkan oleh Mobil barangdengan dilaksanakan pemeriksaan kelaikan Mobil barangsecara berkala, khususnya pada kelaikan sistem pengereman mobil barang. Perkembangan sistem dan komponen rem antara lain dengan sistem LSPV. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui variasi beban yang akan di uji, prosedur cara pemuatan beban dan tingkat kecepatan terhadap efisiensi pengereman pada mobil barang dengan sistem LSPV dan non-LSPV. Metode penelitian menggunakan cara eksperimen melalui Road Test dengan cara memberikan muatan beban yang berbeda, prosedur cara pemuatan dan tingkat kecepatan yang berbeda untuk mengukur jarak pengeremannya, kemudian data ini diubah menjadi efisiensi rem. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan saat Mobil barangmelaju pada kecepatan 40 km/jam dengan beban sesuai Jumlah Berat yang Diijinkan (JBI) dengan cara pemuatan merata di seluruh bak pada mobil barang dengan sistem rem LSPV diperoleh hasil efisiensi rem sebesar 77,7% dan sistem rem non-LSPV sebesar 59,6%. Kondisi ini terjadi karena sistem rem LSPV akan meningkatkan fungsi rem pada roda belakang saat saat muatan ditambah, sementara untuk Mobil barangnon-LSPV dengan bertambah beban muatan mengakibatkan efisiensi remnya menjadi berkurang. Dengan variasi beban muatan yang ditumpuk bagian bak depan ataupun belakang mengakibatkan efisiensi rem menjadi berkurang, karena sebagian besar beban muatan menumpuk di salah satu sumbunya. Dengan cara pemuatan yang teridstribusi merata di seluruh bak Mobil barangmengakibatkan beban merata di setiap sumbu Mobil barangsehingga efisiensi rem berfungsi maksimal. Laju kecepatan Mobil barangjuga mempengaruhi  efisiensi remnya, semakin tinggi kecepatan berakibat kurangnya efisiensi rem dan semakin rendah kecepatan efisiensi rem menjadi besar.Kata Kunci : Jumlah berat yang diijinkan (JBI), Uji Rem, Tata Cara Pemuatan, Efisiensi Rem, LSPV

Abstract

Brakes are one of the important components on a motorbike that supports riding comfort and safety. The aim of this research is to analyze disturbances and damage to motorbike brake systems and their handling. The research method used is direct observation of the research object, namely the brake system unit on a motorbike and literacy studies. The research was carried out from February to June. Data collection was carried out using observation techniques on brake system objects. The data obtained is then analyzed and drawn conclusions and then presented in a description of the research results. The results of the research show that disturbances and damage to the brake system include:      1) Poor brake performance and not functioning well;   2) Vibration and/or sound when braking; 3) No prisoners or failures; and 4) The brake lever or pedal does not return to normal. Abstract

The background of this research is the phenomenon of the increasing interest of Yogyakarta State University (UNY) students to participate in internship programs abroad, especially in Japan, as an effort to improve global competence and international work experience for students. The purpose of this study is to describe the phenomenon of the internship selection process, during the internship, and the problems faced by students during the internship in Japan. The research method used is phenomenology with data collection through in-depth interviews with 20 students who have participated in internship programs in Japan. The data obtained were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify the main themes related to the selection process, experiences, and problems faced by students. The results showed that students' experiences during the internship selection process included registration, internal selection, external selection (psychological test, interview and medical check-up) and announcement. The experience of students during internships in Japan is the improvement of Japanese language skills, adaptation of Japanese work culture and life culture, cross-country relations and cooperation, as well as soft skills and hard skills in the manufacturing industry. Problems faced by students starting from the selection of internships until completion include: selection flow that is not open, financial arrangements, internship program information, concurrent work and college time arrangements, cost information, foreign cultural differences, limited availability of housing, adaptation to 4 seasons in Japan and the short Japanese language learning before departure.

Abstract

The Center for Automotive Technical Education and Training (PUSDIKLAT) serves as a bridge to produce graduates with specific skills aligned with the needs of businesses and industries (DU/DI). In this context, PUSDIKLAT must prepare effective learning strategies across all Automotive Engineering subjects, including Fuel System Repair,  a core subject in the Automotive Engineering Department. However, the current learning approach remains conventional, resulting in the need to improve student performance and motivation. To address this issue, this study aims to enhance student competence by implementing Problem-Based Learning (PBL) at PUSDIKLAT SUZUKI, State University of Malang, in the subject of vehicle fuel system repair. This research adopts a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, utilizing instruments such as pre-tests, post-tests, field notes, and interview guidelines. The study was conducted over four meetings across two cycles. The results showed significant improvement: in the first cycle, the mastery level was 56% for knowledge and 48% for skills, which increased to 100% in the second cycle. The improvement in percentages across cycles is evident from the average scores. In the first cycle, the average score was 74 for knowledge and 72 for skills, which increased to 81 in the second cycle, exceeding the minimum criterion of 75. Additionally, student motivation and perceptions of PBL application were positive. These findings indicate that PBL effectively improves students' knowledge, skills, and motivation in learning fuel system repair.
