Abstract

This research is a development research (research and development) with the development of learning media in the form of Automotive Body Engineering modules in Class XI Body Painting Subjects at SMK Kristen 5 Klaten using the Four-D method by Thiagarajan and Semmel which has been modified. The stages used in the module development process are the defining stage (define), the design stage (design), the development stage (develop) and the dissemination stage (disseminate). Collecting feasibility data using questionnaires and observations. This study involved material experts, media experts, subject teachers and students to obtain module feasibility assessments and responses. The data analysis technique used was quantitative descriptive analysis.The results showed that: 1) produce an Automotive Body Engineering learning module; 2) the Automotive Body Engineering learning module at SMK Kristen 5 Klaten is feasible to use based on the results of material expert validation with a percentage of 76.08% and the results of validation by media experts with a percentage of 73.80% with a decent category; The results of the assessment of the feasibility level of the Automotive Body Engineering learning module at SMK Kristen 5 Klaten by the subject teacher with a percentage of 88.23% with a decent category; 4) The results of the assessment response from class XI students were 94.14% with a very feasible category.

Abstract

The demands of technological developments require educational institutions to update and equip practical facilities to support the achievement of graduate targets. This requires resources capable of operating and using these practice facilities. This Community Service Program aims to provide training on the use of student practice facilities in the form of Smoke Testers and Gas Analyzers to teachers and technicians of the Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering Department at SMK N Saptosari, Gunungkidul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. With this training, it is hoped that teachers and employees will be able to use the equipment in accordance with procedures. The target audience for this activity are teachers and employees in the Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering Department at SMK N Saptosari. The method used in this activity is through exposure delivered by experts which is then followed by hands-on practical training activities in the use of Smoke Tester and Gas Analyzer tools. The indicator for achieving the objectives in this PPM activity is increasing the knowledge and understanding of the target audience about the use of practical facilities in the form of Smoke Tester and Gas Analyzer tools. The results of the evaluation conducted using a questionnaire showed that the training participants were very satisfied with the activities carried out and wished that these activities be carried out continuously.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of learning media and mathematical logic intelligence on student learning achievement. This research was a quasi-experimental type with a sample size of 68 students consisting of an experimental class and a control class of 34 students each. The data analysis method uses two-way Anova. The results of this study indicate that there are (1) differences in learning achievement between students who study using YouTube compared to e-books; (2) differences in learning achievement between students with high versus low mathematical logical intelligence; and (3) the interaction between learning media and mathematical logic intelligence on student learning achievement.

Abstract

In the motorcycle system there is a component and the Electrical Full Injection System (EFI) of this Injector component functions to inject high-pressure fuel from the common rail according to the signal given by the ECU in a Tensioner contact state or the condition of the combustion chamber engine at Timin Injection optimum, the amount of fuel injection, fuel injection ratio and fogging conditions.Two-Way Electromagnetic controls the pressure in the chamber of the injector to control the start and finish of fuel injection.Orifice in the control chamber controls the angle of opening of the nozzle to control the ratio of fuel injection.Clogging of the nozzle holes causes the effect is that the acceleration power of the motorbike engine is decreasing. this makes it difficult for motorbikes to be operational again. After cleaning the dirt that clogs the injectors in the nozzle holes, making this tool can also extend the life of the injectors.Development is a process that is used to develop and investigate a product. The test results of this tool show that the injector cleaner works well. During testing with the Vario 125 motorbike, the injector misting produced +- 35 ml/minute. If an injector produces more than 15-20 ml/minute. Then the injector is still feasible to use and use.

Abstract

The importance of an entrepreneurial attitude for automotive vocational high school graduates in facing the world of work and creating job opportunities. With a focus on developing communication and critical thinking skills, vocational school students prepare for competitiveness after graduation. Good communication skills help entrepreneurs in starting a business, expanding business networks, and influencing others in a positive way. Conversely, critical thinking skills help in identifying problems, making strategic decisions and facing challenges that may arise in business.This research emphasizes that learning entrepreneurial skills in vocational schools is necessary as an integral part of education. This study uses quantitative methods and focuses on the effect of communication skills and critical thinking on the entrepreneurial readiness of automotive engineering students. The implications of this study support the need for additional skills development apart from skills in students' areas of expertise.An entrepreneur's success depends not only on his or her business idea, but also on the ability to communicate well, think critically, and face challenges with constantly evolving skills. This is a key foundation in entering and surviving in the dynamic and competitive world of entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to develop chassis material learning tools that are able to train vehicle chassis system inspection, repair and maintenance skills for vocational school students in the Automotive Engineering Skills Program to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. This RD research was carried out at SMKN 2 Pengasih, namely on Class XI students of the Automotive Engineering Skills Program. The stages of developing learning tools consist of four phases, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The define stage includes literature study activities and field surveys for the purposes of problem identification and needs analysis; the design stage includes initial product design activities; the develop stage includes expert validation activities and product revision; while the disseminate stage includes product implementation activities in the field. Data collection techniques used include observation, documentation and questionnaire techniques. Data analysis uses quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of research and development show that the teaching modules, learning materials, LKPD, learning media and assessment instruments that have been developed are included in the very feasible category. The test results for all the independent curriculum learning tools obtained results of 93% (very good). Thus, the learning tools that have been developed are suitable for use in order to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Vocational Schools. Key Words: Teaching Module; Vehicle Chassis; Merdeka Curriculum in Vocational Schools

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) Analyze the competencies needed by the current automotive industry in the Automotive Industry, 2) Analyze the implications of the automotive industry's needs for the automotive technology vocational education curriculum, and 3) Analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors of the partnership program for the automotive technology vocational education study program. The subjects of this research were 5 practitioners consisting of: Service Manager, Instructor, Service Advisor, and Mechanic from the Business and Industrial World (DUDI) in the automotive sector in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, documentation and interview methods. The research instrument was validated through expert judgment. The data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive analysis with the triangulation method to obtain data validity. The research results show that: 1) the competencies required by the current automotive industry for undergraduate graduates include technical competency and managerial competency; 2) The need for technical and managerial competency demands that curriculum study materials be adapted to industry needs; 3) Supporting factors for the partnership program include: complete industrial facilities and infrastructure and adequate human resources (HR). The inhibiting factors for the partnership program are: the absence of an MoU between agencies and difficulties in preparing schedules.

Abstract

Instruktur industri mengambil peran penting dalam pengembangan kapasitas karyawan di industri. Beberapa perusahaan mencoba menerapkan pelatihan jarak jauh bagi karyawannya menggunakan LMS. Meskipun, hal ini tidak mudah dilakukan oleh para instruktur, dengan fitur LMS yang beragam. Sehingga, perlu dikaji secara mendalam bagaimana persepsi instruktur industri terhadap pelatihan jarak jauh menggunakan LMS sebagai masukan untuk memperbaiki pelaksanaan pelatihan jarak jauh di perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali pengalaman instruktur industri dalam pelatihan jarak jauh menggunakan LMS. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah 16 orang instruktur perusahaan otomotif terkemuka di Indonesia. Kami menggunakan kuesioner terbuka untuk memperoleh data penelitian. Peneliti memperhatikan kriteria trustworthiness dan authenticity untuk mencapai kualitas hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LMS dapat digunakan untuk membantu dalam pelaksanaan training; monitoring perkembangan peserta training; memfasilitasi peserta untuk belajar mandiri; fleksibel; efektif; efisien; dan materi dapat dirancang secara sistematis. Selain itu, pengemasan materi yang mudah dipahami; kemudahan dalam menggunakan fitur pada LMS; informasi yang uptodate; tampilan yang interaktif; dan file materi yang mudah diunduh juga perlu diperhatikan untuk memaksimalkan performa LMS. Bagi instruktur, kendala yang dihadapi dalam menggunakan LMS pada saat taining adalah peserta training pasif; akses LMS tergantung dengan sinyal internet; dan sulitnya mengatur jadwal training.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk adalah 1) Untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran alat peraga guna  meningkatkan minat siswa pada sistem rem model disc break dan drum brake  di SMK PN 2 Purworejo. 2) Untuk mengetahui efektifitas media pembelajaran alat peraga bagi siswa pada mata pelajaran sistem rem 3) Untuk mengetahui media pembelajaran alat peraga bisa meningkatkan minat siswa pada mata pelajaran sistem rem. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Reseach and Development (R D) prosedur pengembangan media pembelajaran sistem rem cakram dan tromol meliputi, Analysis, Design, development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE). Hasil penelitian ini  Pada minat belajar siswa menunjukan bahwa minat belajar siswa yang tidak menggunakan media rem cakram dan tromol dan yang menggunakan media rem cakram dan tromol. Perbandingan minat belajar siswa pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen dengan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol 68,69%  dan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen71,88%.

Abstract

ANALISIS MATERI ESENSIAL  MATA PELAJARAN PANEL BODY DAN RANGKA PADA KURIKULUM MERDEKA  Amir Fatah*:  Kir Haryana; Yoga Guntur Sampurna;Supriyono, Dinar Kurniawan;  Amar Nazarudin; Nawa Renobarta Maulidino, Muhamad Jafar Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta*Corresponding Author: amir_fatah@uny.ac.id Abstract This research is a survey aimed at identifying essential materials in the panel body and frame subjects. This is necessary because it will help identify the core materials that are crucial and relevant to be developed in the learning process, thus improving the efficiency of the learning process. It ensures that students acquire knowledge and skills that can be applied in real life, providing opportunities to develop critical and creative thinking skills, and a deeper understanding of key concepts and the application of that knowledge in different contexts. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires reinforced with interviews, and data analysis was conducted using descriptive methods. The research population consisted of vocational school teachers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, while the research sample focused on three schools specializing in light vehicle body engineering. The research respondents included 12 teachers distributed across three vocational schools. The results of the study show how teachers determine essential materials in the panel body and frame subjects by involving industry partners in accordance with the guidelines for the development of the independent curriculum. The most essential materials selected by teachers in the Panel Body and Frame subjects include the removal, installation, and light repair of body panels, doors, fenders, and closed panel repairs. Key Words: Materials, Essential, Vehicle Body, Engineering AbstrakPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui materi esensial pada mata pelajaran panel bodi dan rangka. Hal ini perlu dilakukan  karena akan membantu mengidentifikasi pokok-pokok materi yang paling krusial dan relevan untuk dikembangkan dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga meningkatkan efisiensi proses pembelajaran, memastikan siswa memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan nyata serta memberikan kesempatan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kreatif, dan lebih mendalam memahami konsep-konsep kunci dan menerapkan pengetahuan tersebut dalam konteks yang berbeda. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket yang diperkuat dengan wawancara dan analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif. Populasi penelitian adalah guru SMK se-Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, sementara sampel penelitian difokuskan pada tiga sekolah yang memiliki konsentrasi keahlian Teknik bodi kendaraan ringan.  Responden penelitian berjumlah 12 guru yang tersebar di tiga SMK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan cara guru menentukan materi esensial pada mata pelajaran panel bodi dan rangka dengan melibatkan industri mitra sesuai dengan petunjuk pengembangan kurikulum merdeka. Adapun materi paling esensial yang dipilih guru pada mata Pelajaran  Panel Body dan Rangka  adalah pelepasan,  pemasangan dan perbaikan ringan panel bodi, pintu, fender,  perbaikan panel tertutup. Kata Kunci : Materi, Esensial, Teknik, Bodi, Kendaraan
