This research discusses efforts to enhance the professional competence of teachers in Vocational High Schools (SMK) specializing in the field of Electricity. It does so through the implementation of a training program based on Variable Speed Drive (VSD) technology for electric motor control. The training program encompasses two distinct learning approaches: theoretical and practical instruction on motor control using VSD technology. This material forms an essential part of the curriculum for installing electric motors in vocational schools. It is crucial for every teacher to comprehend it thoroughly, as vocational school curricula must adapt to the latest developments in science and technology, commonly referred to as the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0). This research focused on 20 electricity teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi as its subjects. The research findings indicate a significant improvement in teachers' professional competence in electric motor installation, particularly in electric motor control using VSD technology, following the implementation of the training program. This improvement is reflected in the posttest results, with 88.7% of participants passing in this particular subject. In conclusion, the Variable Speed Drive Based Electric Motor Control Training for teachers can effectively enhance their professional competence in electric motor installation, aligning with the demands of Industry 4.0.

Independent learning ability is a person's ability to learn and develop knowledge, skills and understanding independently. Independent learning abilities involve cognitive abilities, strategies, and attitudes that enable a person to take initiative in their own learning process. The ability to learn independently also has an impact on the 21st century skills that students must have, these skills include creative thinking, critical thinking and problem solving, communicating and collaborating. On the other hand, in class it is often found that Electronics Engineering students are still weak in their independent learning abilities. The role of the teacher is still dominant and is the only source of learning for students in solving problems. The main cause is thought to be that learning media is less effective in increasing independent learning so that students are too dependent on teachers. The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of the Proteus application on the independent learning abilities of Electronics Engineering students. The research method used is a narrative literature review. A total of 20 articles from international journals were used as research samples. Research findings show that the Proteus application has an influence in improving the independent learning abilities of Industrial Electronics Engineering students. This is supported by the data contained in each research sample. Implementing the Proteus application can also be an alternative in improving students' 21st century abilities. However, this research only examines one type of media. Recommendations for further research can be carried out by comparing the effectiveness of the Proteus application with other applications used in learning Industrial Electronics Engineering.

This research aims to review student learning outcomes using the Problem-based learning (PBL) method in the Basics of Electrical Engineering subject in class X TITL 1 SMK Negeri 5 Padang. This research is quantitative research using the Pre-Experimental Design method, The One Shot Case Study type. The subject of this research is class X TITL 1 SMK Negeri 5 Padang. The research instrument consists of evaluation questions in the form of objective, essay, matching, true and false and labeling. Based on the results of the posttest carried out, there were 87.5% of students completed it with the average student achieving the learning objective criteria >75, namely 79.85 and the average student who did not complete it was 30.21, so it can be concluded that the PBL method can improve student learning outcomes.

The quality of education in Indonesia is fairly low which is at the bottom of 12 countries in Asia. on the results of observations made in class X TITL at SMK Negeri 5 Padang more than half of the students have not reached the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP) which is set at large equal to 75. Government efforts to overcome the low quality of education in Indonesia by issuing policies and improvements with educator certification, equal distribution of education personnel, curriculum improvement, school operational assistance funds, and adoption of new concepts. The prototype curriculum launched by the Minister of Education and Culture and Research Nadiem Makarim is designed as a more flexible curriculum framework centered on basic materials and supporting the unique characteristics and abilities of students. Adaptation of new concepts with inquiry methods that involve students in the learning process, with this method it is expected that students can be more active and can solve problems independently which ultimately can develop students' social attitudes. This research is limited to the implementation of the Inquiry method in the subject of basic electrical engineering element 6 regarding the basic theory of electricity and materials used in electricity.This study aims to determine the implementation of the inquiry method to improve student learning outcomes in the basic subjects of basic electricity engineering class X TITL at SMK Negeri 5 Padang. This research is a quantitative study with the Pre-Experiment Design method of The One Group Pretest Posttest type. The subjects in this study were students of class X TITL 1 SMKN 5 Padang. The research instrument used is a pretest and posttest question in objective form. The results of the effect size of students of 0.69 are in the medium category and classical completeness of 88%.

Vocational high schools are schools that provide workers who have knowledge and skills in their respective fields. The Industrial Electronics Engineering Department is a department that provides competent workforce in the field of robotics. Payakumbuh State Vocational School 2 majoring in Industrial Electronics Engineering is experiencing problems implementing robotics learning. The problem is that schools do not yet have robotic training kits that can be used like robots in industry. Schools only have robotic training kits that can be used to understand the basic input and output uses of robots and cannot be used practically with robots in industry. Based on these problems, the aim of this research is to develop a mobile robotic training kit that is practical and can be used from basic learning to learning complex robots such as industrial applications. The research method used in this research is the research and development (R&D) method. So the results obtained in this research are a mobile robotic training kit which is considered very practical by teachers with a percentage of 88.95%. It can be concluded that the mobile robotic training kit is very practical to use in the robotics learning process

This study aims to analyze the relationship between Productive Subject Learning Outcomes and Job Readiness of Grade XI ITTL Students at SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra. The method used in this research is correlational research using a correlational quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were class XI ITL students at SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra, consisting of 36 students. Determination of respondents is done by selecting odd numbers of student attendance. So that in sampling each student is represented respectively. Data collection uses questionnaires and documentation, for the instrument score system using a Likert scale. Before being distributed to the main respondents of the study, the questionnaire was validated by an expert lecturer validator of the Department of Electrical Engineering and also conducted a trial stage of the instrument to determine the validity and reliability of the instrument through Class XI ITTL students in West Sumatra state vocational schools. The trial respondents were taken from outside the research sample in the same population, the number of trial respondents was 20 students. Data analysis techniques using Percentage and Product Moment. The results show that (1) The learning outcomes of productive subjects of ITL students at SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra are categorized as low, this can be seen from the respondents who predominantly get grades with the title C. (2) The work readiness of ITL students at SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra is categorized as high. (3) There is no significant relationship between the learning outcomes of productive subjects (X) and work readiness (Y) of TITL students at SMK Negeri West Sumatra. Because the significance value obtained is 0.023 <0.329, which means there is no relationship.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the guided discovery learning model on improving student learning outcomes in the Basics of electrical electricity subjects at SMK Negeri 1 Lintau Buo. This study uses a type of experimental research that is categorized into quasi-experimental research types with pretest-posttest control group design designs. The subjects of this study were grade X TK students of SMK Negeri 1 Lintau Buo in the 2023/2024 school year consisting of 30 students In this study, the data collection method used was pretest and posttest questions which were validated by expert weighers, namely subject expert lecturers and subject teachers. Before the treatment is given, pretest questions are given and after the treatment is given at the end of learning, posttest questions will be given. The results of the pretest (initial test) show the value before learning is given treatment and the results of the posttest (final test) show the value after learning is given treatment. These results can be seen based on the realm of knowledge, namely pretest and posttest results analyzed using a series of tests such as prerequisite tests, N-Gain Score and Effect size which fall into the very large category and use the percentage of completeness of learning outcomes increased from the very low to very high category. Thus, the guided discovery learning learning model improves student learning outcomes in the Basics of electricity subjects.

This research aims to determine the impact of using the interactive media Quizizz on student learning outcomes in the subject of Basic Electrical Engineering for the 10th-grade students at SMK Negeri 1 Lintau. Interactive learning media has not been fully utilized in the teaching of Basic Electrical Engineering. The rapid development of gadgets and technology has led students to frequently engage with gadgets during the learning process, often without using them for educational purposes, affecting their cognitive development. Therefore, this research was conducted to assess the impact of using interactive media on student learning outcomes. This research employed an experimental approach, a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of the study were the 10th-grade students from TK 2 at SMK Negeri 1 Lintau Buo for the academic year 2022/2023, comprising 30 students. To measure the effectiveness of the research, a pretest was administered before the use of Quizizz media in the teaching of Basic Electrical Engineering. A post-test was given after the instructional process using Quizizz media to teach Basic Electrical Engineering. The results of the research were analyzed using classical mastery testing, learning outcome improvement, and effect size testing. The test results showed that students who were exposed to Quizizz media performed better compared to those who were not exposed to Quizizz media. The learning outcomes of students improved after using Quizizz media, indicating the effectiveness of Quizizz media in enhancing student learning outcomes.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the discovery learning model in the subjects of Electricity Basic and Electronics class X TITL at SMK Dhuafa Padang. The design used in this research is experimental research, while the type of experimental design used is Pre-Experiment. The design used in this research is one one-group pretest and posttest design. The method used in measuring the assessment of student's skills is a skill scale assessment and is carried out through observation. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model is effective for improving student learning outcomes in the subject of Electricity Basic and Electronics class X of Electrical Power Installation Engineering at SMK Dhuafa Padang. This is known from the increasing completeness of student learning outcomes. The average post-test score is higher than the pre-test score. Then the discovery learning method is also declared effective because the results of the effect size analysis are included in the large category and the competence of students' skills has reached the minimum classical value, which is at 86.68% with the predicate A (very good) and B (good).

Education is a process to build an individual character. Education is also an important tool in improving the quality of human resources in a positive direction. The learning process is one of the ways to realize National Development. It is the duty of actors to develop the complete Indonesian human being. The current period is a transitional period for Vocational Schools due to curriculum changes from the 2013 curriculum to an independent curriculum. In the independent learning curriculum in the Industrial Electronics Engineering major, quite a lot of changes have been made. The implementation of an independent curriculum will also have significant problems, because not all SMKs are ready to implement an independent curriculum, especially in the field of teaching materials used by teachers when teaching. This problem also occurs in one of the SMKs in the city of Padang, namely SMK Negeri 1 Sumatera Barat. Where the problem is that teachers still do not have a jobsheet for learning practicum microcontrollers that are contained in the Embedded Systems Programming subject. So the purpose of this research is to apply the microcontroller jobsheet in the Embedded Systems Programming subject. The research method used is the R&D research method. Then the results in this study obtained microcontroller jobsheets in the Embedded Systems Programming subject which had been declared valid by learning media experts and microcontroller learning experts. In addition, the jobsheet has also been declared practical by the Embedded Systems Programming subject teachers and students.
