Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of low student active participation and suboptimal motor skill achievement in physical education learning, particularly soccer material in elementary schools. The conventional approach applied so far is considered ineffective in arousing student interest and motivation to learn. This condition indicates the urgency of innovative learning strategies that can create a more interesting and interactive learning atmosphere. Gamification, as a strategy that integrates game elements in an educational context, is a potential alternative solution. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of implementing gamification in soccer learning on improving student engagement and motor performance at SD Negeri 047176 Sirumbia. The method used was quantitative with a quasi-experimental design. Data collection instruments included observations of student engagement, soccer motor skills tests, documentation, and supporting interviews. The results showed that gamification significantly increased student active engagement during learning and had a positive impact on motor performance, including coordination, agility, and movement control. In conclusion, gamification has been proven effective in improving student participation and motor skills. The implications of this research indicate that the integration of gamification in physical education can be an innovative and applicable strategy to create more meaningful and efficient learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Performance analysis in the sport of badminton is very important to conduct, but it has not been explicitly discussed in academic studies. The main objective of this research is to analyze the physical performance of badminton athletes aged 15-17 years at PB Tangkas WLK Bangkingan Club in Surabaya. Method: This study used a descriptive quantitative approach with a total sampling technique, involving 12 adolescent beginner athletes who actively train. The instruments used included speed tests (30-meter run), agility tests (Illinois Agility Test), arm muscle strength (60-second push-ups), abdominal muscle strength (60-second sit-ups), and cardiorespiratory endurance (beep test). The results of the study showed that most athletes fell into the fairly good category in terms of speed and agility, while strength and endurance were components that needed serious improvement. The conclusion regarding the physical performance of beginner athletes aged 15-17 at PB Tangkas Wlk Bangkingan still needs to be improved overall, especially in terms of strength and endurance, in order to support more optimal playing performance. This can be used as a basis for designing a more targeted physical training program.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the futsal playing skills of players from the PGRI Yogyakarta University Football Club by utilising Nacsport performance analysis software as the main tool for data collection and interpretation. Futsal playing skills encompass technical, tactical, and game effectiveness aspects that are dynamic and contextual in nature, thus requiring a technology-based evaluation approach to produce an objective and measurable performance picture. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with data collection through observation of match videos, which are then coded and analysed through the Nacsport system. The focus of the analysis includes passing, dribbling, and shooting abilities, as well as tactical indicators such as attacking positioning and defensive transition. The results of the study show that the players' passing accuracy rate is in the high category, namely 78.4%, which indicates stable coordination and game control abilities. Conversely, the effectiveness of dribbling (62.1%) and shooting (24.7%) shows that performance still needs to be improved, particularly in terms of finishing and the ability to get past opposing players. Tactical analysis reveals an attacking pattern that tends to rely on individual actions, while coordination during defensive transitions remains inconsistent, creating gaps in the defensive area. These findings illustrate that although basic technical components have developed well, tactical aspects and decision-making remain obstacles to achieving optimal performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Virtual Reality (VR) learning media on Badminton motor skills in university students. Virtual Reality (VR) is considered a motor learning innovation that can simulate immersive game situations, thereby improving the quality of visual stimuli, kinesthetics, and motor decisions. The study design used a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest model on 30 students participating in the Badminton Student Activity Unit at the University. The assessment instrument included serve, forehand, backhand, and smash tests. The results showed a significant increase in the average motor skill score between before and after the VR intervention, with an average increase of 22.4%. Statistical analysis showed a p value <0.05, which means that VR media is effective in improving Badminton motor skills. These findings indicate that VR is feasible to be implemented as a technology-based motor learning innovation in universities. This study contributes to the development of physical education technology and offers an alternative approach in Badminton learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the effects of plyometric squat jump and split squat jump training methods on leg muscle power improvement in male athletes aged 11-13 years at SSB Satria Utama Jumantono, Karanganyar in 2025. The research sample consisted of 30 students from the SSB Satria Utama Jumantono club in Karanganyar. Sampling was conducted using random sampling techniques. The research variables were the test results and measurements of leg muscle power improvement with the influence of plyometric squat jump and split squat jump training as independent variables and leg muscle power improvement as a dependent variable. The research design used a pretest-posttest design. Tests to determine the increase in leg muscle power used tests and measurements of leg muscle power ability. The research data analysis method used the t-test formula calculated using a short formula. The results of the data analysis led to the following conclusions: (1) There was a significant difference between the effects of the Plyometric Squat Jump and Plyometric Split Squat Jump methods on the increase in leg muscle power in volleyball among male athletes aged 11-13 years at SSB Satria Utama Jumantono, Karanganyar in 2025. This is evidenced by the results of the final test calculations for each group, namely tcount = 2.816, which is smaller than ttable = 2.145 with a significance level of 5%. (2) The Plyometric Squat Jump method has a better effect than the Plyometric Split Squat Jump method on improving leg muscle power in volleyball among 11-13-year-old male athletes at SSB Satria Utama Jumantono, Karanganyar in 2025. Based on the percentage increase in leg muscle power in soccer, group 1 (the group treated with the Plyometric Squat Jump method) showed a 6.499% increase, while group 2 (the group treated with the Plyometric Split Squat Jump method) showed a 5.684% increase.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) the difference in the effect of application-based training methods in volleyball on improving overhead passing skills (the effect of pair training and playing) in male athletes aged 15-17 years. 2) Which is better, the effect of pair training and playing on improving overhead passing skills in male athletes aged 15-17 years. The research sample consisted of 30 students. Sampling used a random sampling technique. The research design used a pretest-posttest design. The research data analysis method used a t-test formula calculated using a short formula. The results of the data analysis resulted in the following conclusions: (1) There are differences in the influence of application-based training methods in volleyball on improving overhead passing skills (the influence of pair training and playing) in male athletes aged 15-17 years at the SNJ Jenawi Karanganyar Volleyball Club in 2025. This is proven by the results of the final test calculations for each group, namely thitung = 3.174, which is greater than t tabel = 2.145 with a significance level of 5%. (2) The paired application-based training method has a better effect than the playing application-based training method on improving the overhead passing skills in volleyball games for male athletes aged 15-17 years at the SNJ Jenawi Karanganyar Volleyball Club in 2025. Based on the percentage of results, the improvement in overhead passing skills shows that group 1 (the group that received treatment using the paired application-based training method) was 21.835% > group 2 (the group that received treatment using the playing application-based training method) was 19.688%.
