The purpose of this journal is to disseminate ideas and results of research conducted by universities, particularly Psychology Studies, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Mulawarman University, which can be applied in society. Abstract

The transition from school to college is often challenging for new students, which can affect their psychological well-being. Good adjustment in the campus environment is essential to reduce anxiety and increase life satisfaction. This study aims to identify and analyze the relationship between self-compassion and adjustment in the college environment in new students. The approach used is quantitative with a correlational design. The subjects of the study were 103 new students of Satya Wacana Christian University class of 2024, who were selected using convenience sampling techniques. Data were collected through a questionnaire to measure the level of self-compassion and adjustment. Data analysis using Spearman's Rank Correlation showed a significant positive relationship between self-compassion and adjustment, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.588 and a significance level of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that increased self-compassion can contribute to better adjustment among new students. Therefore, it is important to develop strategies that can increase self-compassion as part of a support program for new students, to help them adapt to the college environment.Masa transisi dari sekolah ke perkuliahan seringkali menjadi tantangan bagi mahasiswa baru, yang dapat memengaruhi kesejahteraan psikologis mereka. Penyesuaian diri yang baik di lingkungan kampus sangat penting untuk mengurangi kecemasan dan meningkatkan kepuasan hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis hubungan antara self-compassion dan penyesuaian diri di lingkungan perkuliahan pada mahasiswa baru. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Subjek penelitian adalah 103 mahasiswa baru Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana angkatan 2024, yang dipilih menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner untuk mengukur tingkat self-compassion dan penyesuaian diri. Analisis data menggunakan Spearman's Rank Correlation menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara self-compassion dan penyesuaian diri, dengan koefisien korelasi r = 0.588 dan tingkat signifikansi p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa peningkatan self-compassion dapat berkontribusi pada penyesuaian diri yang lebih baik di kalangan mahasiswa baru. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk mengembangkan strategi yang dapat meningkatkan self-compassion sebagai bagian dari program dukungan bagi mahasiswa baru, guna membantu mereka beradaptasi dengan lingkungan perkuliahan.

Abstract

Future-related anxiety has become an increasingly prevalent psychological challenge among university students and adolescents, especially in the context of academic pressure, social demands, and global uncertainty. One promising intervention approach to address this issue is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which emphasizes psychological flexibility, acceptance of internal experiences, and commitment to personal values. This study aims to systematically review the effectiveness of ACT in managing future anxiety and its relation to psychological flexibility and future orientation. The research method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA framework, involving 20 selected articles obtained from various academic databases and filtered through rigorous inclusion criteria. Analysis was conducted through content evaluation, thematic synthesis, and visual bibliometric mapping using VOSviewer software. The findings indicate that ACT is effective in reducing anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma across various populations and delivery formats, including individual therapy, group interventions, online platforms, and in special populations. Furthermore, psychological flexibility and adaptive future orientation were consistently identified as key mediators contributing to improved psychological well-being. This study recommends the integration of ACT into higher education settings as a promotive and preventive mental health strategy for students facing future uncertainties. Kecemasan terhadap masa depan merupakan salah satu tantangan psikologis yang semakin banyak dialami oleh mahasiswa dan remaja di tengah tekanan akademik, sosial, dan ketidakpastian global. Salah satu pendekatan intervensi yang relevan untuk mengatasi persoalan ini adalah Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), yang menekankan pada fleksibilitas psikologis, penerimaan pengalaman internal, dan komitmen terhadap nilai-nilai hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau secara sistematis efektivitas ACT dalam mengelola kecemasan masa depan serta hubungannya dengan fleksibilitas psikologis dan orientasi masa depan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan pendekatan PRISMA, mencakup 20 artikel yang diperoleh dari berbagai basis data ilmiah dan telah melewati proses seleksi berdasarkan kriteria inklusi yang ketat. Analisis dilakukan melalui penilaian isi artikel, sintesis tematik, dan pemetaan visual dengan bantuan perangkat lunak bibliometrik VOSviewer. Hasil tinjauan menunjukkan bahwa ACT terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi kecemasan, depresi, stres, dan trauma, baik dalam format individual, kelompok, daring, maupun pada populasi khusus. Fleksibilitas psikologis dan orientasi masa depan yang adaptif juga terbukti berperan sebagai mediator penting dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan ACT dalam konteks pendidikan tinggi sebagai strategi promotif dan preventif kesehatan mental mahasiswa.

Abstract

Service quality is one of the key factors in the tourism industry as it shapes customer satisfaction and fosters consumer loyalty. Positive experiences perceived by tourists through direct interactions with service providers strengthen their intention to make repeat purchases (repurchase intention). This study analyzes the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction and repurchase intention in tour packages, with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable. The research employed a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The sample was obtained through purposive sampling from consumers who had used tour package services. The results show that service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction (coefficient = 0.442; T-Statistic = 7.947; P-Value = 0.000) and repurchase intention (coefficient = 0.592; T-Statistic = 9.380; P-Value = 0.000). In addition, customer satisfaction also positively influences repurchase intention (coefficient = 0.393; T-Statistic = 6.968; P-Value = 0.000). The f-square analysis indicates that the direct effect of service quality on repurchase intention falls into the large category with 51.76%, while the mediating contribution of customer satisfaction is 22.71% with a medium effect size. These findings highlight that service quality influences repurchase intention not only directly but also indirectly through customer satisfaction. The practical implication of this study emphasizes the importance for tourism service providers to maintain consistent, reliable, and customer-oriented service quality in order to create sustainable satisfaction and enhance repurchase intention.Kualitas pelayanan merupakan salah satu faktor kunci dalam industri pariwisata karena mampu membentuk kepuasan dan mendorong loyalitas konsumen. Pengalaman positif yang dirasakan wisatawan dari interaksi langsung dengan penyedia layanan akan memperkuat niat untuk melakukan pembelian ulang (repurchase intention). Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh kualitas pelayanan terhadap kepuasan konsumen dan repurchase intention pada paket wisata, dengan kepuasan konsumen sebagai variabel mediasi. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). Sampel diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling dari konsumen pengguna jasa paket wisata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pelayanan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan konsumen (koefisien = 0,442; T-Statistik = 7,947; P-Value = 0,000) dan repurchase intention (koefisien = 0,592; T-Statistik = 9,380; P-Value = 0,000). Selain itu, kepuasan konsumen juga berpengaruh positif terhadap repurchase intention (koefisien = 0,393; T-Statistik = 6,968; P-Value = 0,000). Analisis f-square menunjukkan pengaruh langsung kualitas pelayanan terhadap repurchase intention termasuk kategori besar sebesar 51,76%, sedangkan kontribusi kepuasan konsumen sebagai mediator sebesar 22,71% dengan kategori efek sedang. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kualitas pelayanan tidak hanya memengaruhi niat beli ulang secara langsung, tetapi juga melalui kepuasan konsumen. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya penyedia jasa wisata menjaga kualitas pelayanan yang konsisten, ramah, dan sesuai kebutuhan pelanggan agar tercipta kepuasan yang berkelanjutan serta meningkatkan repurchase intention.

Abstract

The use of social media has become an inseparable part of daily life, especially among teenagers. Social media also offers great potential in supporting learning. With access to various learning resources. To find out the influence of social media use and peer pressure on cybercrime mediated by emotional acuity and parental supervision. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to explore the relationship between social media use, peer pressure, cybercrime behavior in adolescents, emotional intelligence, and parental supervision. The results of this study are that excessive social media use and peer pressure can increase the risk of cybercrime behavior in adolescents, with low emotional intelligence as the main triggering factor. Emotional intelligence plays an important role as a mediator in reducing the negative impact of social media, while parental supervision can weaken the influence of peer pressure. The implications of these findings emphasize the need for collaboration between families, schools, and the government in developing educational programs that target emotional management and healthy social media use, to prevent the involvement of adolescents in illegal activities in cyberspace.Penggunaan media sosial sudah menjadi bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, khususnya di kalangan remaja. Media sosial juga menawarkan potensi besar dalam menunjang pembelajaran. Dengan akses ke berbagai sumber belajar. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media sosial dan tekanan teman sebaya terhadap kejahatan dunia maya yang dimediasi oleh ketajaman emosional dan pengawasan orang tua. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara penggunaan media sosial, tekanan teman sebaya, perilaku cybercrime pada remaja, kecerdasan emosional, dan pengawasan orang tua. Hasil penelitian ini adalah penggunaan media sosial yang berlebihan dan tekanan teman sebaya dapat meningkatkan risiko terjadinya perilaku cybercrime pada remaja, dengan rendahnya kecerdasan emosional sebagai faktor pemicu utamanya. Kecerdasan emosional berperan penting sebagai mediator dalam mengurangi dampak negatif media sosial, sedangkan pengawasan orang tua dapat melemahkan pengaruh tekanan teman sebaya. . Implikasi dari temuan ini menekankan perlunya kolaborasi antara keluarga, sekolah, dan pemerintah dalam mengembangkan program pendidikan yang menyasar pengelolaan emosi dan penggunaan media sosial yang sehat, untuk mencegah keterlibatan remaja dalam aktivitas ilegal di dunia maya.

Abstract

Students involved in school organizations usually tend to procrastinate because they have to carry out their tasks. The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of self-control on procrastination among high school student council members. Data collection used a quantitative method involving 115 students who participated in the student council using purposive sampling technique. The measurement tool in this study is procrastination, which consists of engaging in more enjoyable activities, delaying the start or completion of tasks, the time gap between plans and actual performance, and delays in task completion. Meanwhile, self-control consists of cognitive control, decision control, and behavioral control. The data analysis technique is simple regression. The analysis results show a significance value of 0.004 with an F value of 8.554 and an R square value of 0.070, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the research, namely self-efficacy, self-regulation, self-confidence, and parenting style. This means that the higher the self-control, the lower the academic procrastination, and the lower the self-control, the higher the academic procrastination.Siswa yang terlibat dalam organisasi sekolah biasanya cenderung melakukan prokrastinasi karena harus menjalankan tugasnya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji pengaruh kontrol diri terhadap prokrastinasi pada anggota OSIS sekolah menengah atas. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode kuantitatif berjumlah 115 siswa yang mengikuti OSIS menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Alat ukur dalam penelitian ini yaitu prokrastinasi terdiri dari melakukan aktivitas yang lebih menyenangkan, penundaan untuk memulai maupun menyelesaikan tugas, kesenjangan waktu antara rencana dan kinerja aktual, dan keterlambatan dalam mengerjakan tugas. Sedangkan kontrol diri terdiri dari kontrol kognitif, kontrol keputusan, dan kontrol perilaku. Teknik analisis data adalah teknik regresi sederhana. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,004 dengan nilai F sebesar 8,554 dan nilai R square sebesar 0,070 lalu sisanya di pengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian yaitu efikasi diri, regulasi diri, kepercayaan diri, pola asuh orangtua.  Hal ini bermakna bahwa semakin tinggi kontrol diri maka semakin rendah prokrastinasi akademik, dan semakin rendah kontrol diri maka semakin tinggi prokrastinasi akademik.

Abstract

Anxiety among final-year students in thesis writing often becomes a major barrier to completing their studies, triggered by various internal and external factors such as academic pressure, family expectations, and technical issues. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of anxiety among students, focusing on the causes, symptoms, impacts, and solutions applied to manage this anxiety. Using a qualitative approach, the research collected data through in-depth interviews with four students who experienced anxiety during the thesis process. The findings show that student anxiety is caused by factors such as academic pressure, high family expectations, as well as physical and psychological disturbances such as sleep disorders, muscle tension, and feelings of restlessness. As a solution, students applied time management, sought social support, and engaged in physical activities to alleviate their anxiety. These findings have important implications for universities to provide more systematic psychological support to improve student well-being.Kecemasan pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir dalam pengerjaan skripsi sering menjadi hambatan besar dalam penyelesaian studi, dipicu oleh berbagai faktor internal dan eksternal seperti tekanan akademik, ekspektasi keluarga, dan masalah teknis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dinamika kecemasan mahasiswa, dengan fokus pada faktor penyebab, gejala, dampak, dan solusi yang diterapkan untuk mengatasi kecemasan tersebut. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara mendalam dengan empat mahasiswa yang mengalami kecemasan selama proses pengerjaan skripsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecemasan mahasiswa disebabkan oleh faktor-faktor seperti tekanan akademik dan ekspektasi yang tinggi dari keluarga, serta gangguan fisik dan psikologis seperti gangguan tidur, ketegangan otot, dan perasaan gelisah. Sebagai solusi, mahasiswa menerapkan manajemen waktu, mencari dukungan sosial, dan melakukan kegiatan fisik untuk meredakan kecemasan. Temuan ini memiliki implikasi penting bagi perguruan tinggi untuk menyediakan dukungan psikologis yang lebih sistematik guna meningkatkan kesejahteraan mahasiswa.

Abstract

Bullying remains one of the recurring issues in school environments and requires attention in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. This study aims to analyze the influence of family background on bullying behavior among high school students in Samarinda. A descriptive mixed-method approach was employed, with data collected through observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The research was conducted from January to May 2024 in four schools: SMAN 16, SMA Budi Luhur, SMAN 3, and SMK Negeri 14 Samarinda. The findings show that most students come from intact families, with percentages ranging from 70.4% to 93.7%. Nevertheless, bullying behaviors were still identified, including pushing peers (3.7%–32.9%), mocking with derogatory nicknames (14.8%–34.2%), and engaging in physical violence (2.8%–10.5%). These results indicate that family background is not the dominant factor influencing students’ bullying behavior. This study implies the need for more comprehensive prevention strategies involving schools, families, and the social environment to create a safe learning climate while simultaneously strengthening students’ character education.Bullying masih menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang sering muncul di lingkungan sekolah dan perlu mendapat perhatian dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh latar belakang keluarga terhadap perilaku bullying pada pelajar SMA di kota Samarinda. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan pendekatan mix methode yang bersifat deskriptif.  Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Kegiatan Penelitian dilakukan pada Januari-Mei 2024 di empat sekolah, yaitu SMAN 16, SMA Budi Luhur, SMAN 3 dan SMK Negeri 14 Samarinda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sebagian besar siswa berasal dari keluarga lengkap dengan presentase 70,4% hingga 93,7%. Meskipun demikian, perilaku bullying tetap ditemukan, seperti mendorong teman (3,7%-32,9%), mengejek dengan julukan buruk (14,8%-34,2%), serta melakukan kekerasan fisik (2,8%-10,5%). Data ini menunjukkan bahwa latar belakang keluarga bukanlah factor dominan yang mempengaruhi perilaku bullying siswa. Penelitian ini berimplikasi pada perlunya strategi pencegahan yang lebih komprehensif dengan melibatkan sekolah, keluarga, dan lingkungan social dalam menciptakan iklim belajar yang aman sekaligus memperkuat Pendidikan karakter siswa.

Abstract

People with HIV/AIDS (PWHA), particularly from the Men who have Sex with Men (MSM) group, often face double stigma which negatively impacts their self-acceptance. Low self-acceptance can hinder treatment adherence and quality of life. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a psychotherapeutic approach hypothesized to improve self-acceptance. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) intervention in improving self-acceptance among PWHA from the MSM group. The study used a one group pre-test post-test design. Participants were five MSM PWHA selected by purposive sampling. The ACT intervention was delivered in six individual sessions. The measurement instrument used was the Unconditional Self-Acceptance Questionnaire (USAQ). Data were analyzed statistically using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and supported by qualitative analysis from observations and interviews. The statistical test results showed a significant increase (Z = -2.032; p = 0.042) between the pre-test scores (Mean = 33.8; low category) and post-test scores (Mean = 57.2; moderate category). Qualitatively, participants reported reduced anxiety and negative thoughts, as well as an increased ability to accept their condition and openness to socialize. Although significant, no participant reached a "high" level of self-acceptance. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) was proven effective in improving self-acceptance among MSM PWHA, although the achieved improvement has not yet reached an optimal level. Long-term intervention or a combination with other approaches is recommended to strengthen the outcomes.Orang dengan HIV/AIDS (ODHIV), khususnya dari kelompok Laki-laki Seks Laki-laki (LSL), sering menghadapi stigma ganda yang berdampak buruk pada penerimaan diri. Penerimaan diri yang rendah dapat menghambat kepatuhan pengobatan dan kualitas hidup. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) merupakan pendekatan psikoterapi yang dihipotesiskan dapat meningkatkan penerimaan diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas intervensi Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) dalam meningkatkan penerimaan diri pada ODHIV kelompok LSL. Penelitian menggunakan desain one group pre-test post-test. Partisipan berjumlah lima orang ODHIV LSL yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Intervensi ACT diberikan dalam enam sesi individu. Instrumen pengukuran menggunakan Unconditional Self-Acceptance Questionnaire (USAQ). Data dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan (Z = -2,032; p = 0,042) antara skor pre-test (Mean = 33,8; kategori rendah) dan post-test (Mean = 57,2; kategori sedang). Secara kualitatif, partisipan melaporkan penurunan kecemasan, pikiran negatif, serta peningkatan kemampuan untuk menerima kondisi dan keterbukaan untuk bersosialisasi. Meskipun signifikan, tidak ada partisipan yang mencapai tingkat penerimaan diri "tinggi". Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan penerimaan diri pada ODHIV LSL, meskipun peningkatan yang dicapai belum mencapai tingkat optimal. Disarankan intervensi jangka panjang atau kombinasi dengan pendekatan lain untuk memperkuat hasil.

Abstract

Exposure to body positive content on social media is increasing, especially with the widespread use of digital platforms among emerging adults. Body Positive Online Content (BPOC) offers an alternative that promotes body acceptance and challenges narrow beauty standards. This study aimed to adapt and validate an Indonesian version of the BPOC measurement tool. A total of 378 participants aged 18–25 completed an online questionnaire. Psychometric analyses, including confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), construct validity testing, and Cronbach’s Alpha, indicated that the BPOC scale demonstrates good validity and reliability. These findings support the use of the adapted BPOC scale to assess exposure to body positive content within the Indonesian cultural context.Paparan terhadap konten positif tentang tubuh di media sosial semakin meningkat, seiring dengan dominasi penggunaan platform digital pada emerging adults. Body Positive Online Content (BPOC) dipandang sebagai bentuk konten alternatif yang mendukung penerimaan tubuh dan resistensi terhadap standar kecantikan sempit. Untuk memastikan kesesuaian pengukuran BPOC di Indonesia, penelitian ini melakukan adaptasi dan pengujian alat ukur dalam versi Bahasa Indonesia. Sebanyak 378 partisipan berusia 18–25 tahun berpartisipasi dengan mengisi kuesioner secara daring. Hasil uji psikometri melalui confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), uji validitas konstruk, dan koefisien Cronbach’s Alpha menunjukkan bahwa skala BPOC memiliki validitas dan reliabilitas yang baik. Temuan ini mendukung bahwa versi terjemahan skala BPOC dapat digunakan untuk mengevaluasi paparan konten positif tubuh dalam konteks budaya Indonesia.

Abstract

Negative body image has become increasingly prevalent among young adults, particularly university students, due to exposure to social media and societal beauty standards. Self-compassion is considered a protective factor that enhances self-acceptance and improves body perception. This study aimed to examine the effect of self-compassion on body image among psychology students in Yogyakarta. A quantitative correlational design was employed with a total sample of 102 students selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Self-Compassion Scale (Neff, 2003) and the Body Image Scale (Cash & Pruzinsky, 2002). Data analysis included Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality testing, linearity testing, and Pearson Product Moment correlation using SPSS 26. The results revealed a positive and significant relationship between self-compassion and body image (r = 0.310; p = 0.002). The findings indicate that higher levels of self-compassion are associated with more positive body image among students. These results highlight the role of self-compassion as a protective factor in fostering healthy body image in the context of social pressures. The study recommends self-compassion-based interventions as a preventive strategy to enhance psychological well-being and promote a healthier body image among young adultsFenomena body image negatif semakin meningkat di kalangan dewasa awal, terutama mahasiswa, akibat paparan media sosial dan tekanan standar kecantikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-compassion terhadap body image pada mahasiswa Program Studi Psikologi di Yogyakarta. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan korelasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 102 mahasiswa yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa skala Self-Compassion Neff (2003) dan skala Body Image Cash & Pruzinsky (2002). Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji normalitas Kolmogorov-Smirnov, uji linearitas, dan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment dengan bantuan SPSS 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif dan signifikan antara self-compassion dan body image (r = 0,310; p = 0,002). Semakin tinggi self-compassion yang dimiliki mahasiswa, semakin positif pula citra tubuh mereka. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa self-compassion berperan sebagai faktor protektif yang dapat memperkuat citra tubuh positif pada mahasiswa di tengah tekanan sosial. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan intervensi berbasis self-compassion sebagai upaya preventif untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis dan membangun body image yang sehat pada generasi muda
