Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising through Facebook Ads in improving the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pangkalpinang City and to identify the key factors influencing its effectiveness. This research was conducted in Pangkalpinang City, Bangka Belitung Islands Province using a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews with 20 MSME actors from various sectors (culinary, crafts, fashion, services), non-participant observation of Facebook Ads Manager activities, and documentation studies. Data analysis was performed using thematic analysis techniques assisted by NVivo 12 software. The study reveals that while MSMEs in Pangkalpinang have adopted Facebook Ads, its effectiveness remains suboptimal due to three main factors: (1) imprecise targeting strategies, with 80% of MSMEs relying only on basic parameters like location (60%) and age (45%), (2) limited creative content production dominated by static images (70%), and (3) weak campaign evaluation practices, with only 35% regularly monitoring Ads Manager. This study is limited to MSMEs in Pangkalpinang City and focuses solely on the Facebook Ads platform. The research also did not quantitatively measure detailed financial aspects such as Return on Investment (ROI). This research contributes to the digital marketing literature, particularly in the context of PPC advertising for MSMEs in developing regions. Practically, it provides guidance for MSME actors, policymakers, and business development institutions in designing effective digital marketing training and mentoring programs.

Abstract

This study aims to measure credit risk in Home Ownership Loan (MORTGAGE LOAN) financing at Bank Mandiri using collectibility indicators as an Early Warning System (EWS) against potential Non-Performing Loans (NPL). Using a descriptive quantitative approach, the study analyzed secondary data comprising 306 accounts in Collectibility 2A (Special Mention) as of May 13, 2026, with a total outstanding balance of Rp 142.44 billion. Results show that 53% of debtors currently in Kol 2A were previously in current status (Kol 1), indicating a new wave of credit quality deterioration undetectable by NPL ratios alone. A total of 30 accounts (9.8%) are in the critical segment with arrears exceeding Rp 10 million. These findings confirm that mid-tier collectibility movements can serve as effective early warning signals, enabling banks to adopt preventive rather than reactive risk management approaches.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of profitability, dividend policy, and the inflation rate on investment decisions and risk minimization in manufacturing companies from various industrial sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). A quantitative descriptive approach was used. The study involved 67 listed companies, with a purposive sample of 12, yielding 60 financial statement observations. Secondary data were collected from the company's financial reports. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), including outer and inner model analyses, hypothesis testing, and mediation analyses. The results indicate that profitability and dividend policy have significant positive effects on investment decisions, while the inflation rate has no significant effect. Profitability and investment decisions significantly contribute to risk minimization, whereas dividend policy and the inflation rate do not. Furthermore, investment decisions mediate the relationship between profitability and risk minimization but do not mediate the effects of dividend policy or the inflation rate on risk minimization.

Abstract

This Study examines the phenomenon of public awarness regarding tax payments for the sake of the common good (maslaha) in Jember Regency, an area administratively comprising 31 districts, 22 urban villages, and 226 rural villages. A qualitative phenomenological method was employed, utilizing primary data gathered through surveys and interviews with village and urban village officials. Secondary data werw obtained from statistics Indonesia (BPS) reports, books, and previous research journals. Informants were selected representatively from the 31 disctrics, covering 28 villages or urban villages distributed across five regions of Jember, purposive sampling was used to select these interviewees. Data analysis and validation techniques included prolonged engagement, triangulation, and member checking. The results reveal a disparity in tax payment awareness between urban and rural areas in Jember. Urban residents demonstrate higher compliance, supported by better education levels, economic conditions, and a greater understanding of the role of taxes in driving development. Conversely, awareness in rural areas varies, some residents do not pay taxes regularly, often waiting for collections officers to visit. However, one area ini South Jember stands out, despite being a rural setting, the community’s Land and Building Tax payment rate is notably high (60-80%). This is attributed to the local government’s strategic collection approach, which ties tax settlement to the processing of administrative documents at the village level. Delays in tax payments in Jember generally stemnot from economic inability, but from a lack of awareness, understanding, and information regarding tax obligations and payment schedules. Given that tax payment align with the concept of maslaha, as tax revenue returns to the community through infrastructure improvements, public facilities, education, healthcare, and government subsidies, it is essential to enhance public outreach and education regarding tax payments for the benefit of the people of Jember

Abstract

This study looks into how Indonesian banking stocks reacted to the January 28, 2026, announcement that the MSCI Index rebalancing would be suspended. Using a 15-day observation window that included 7 trading days prior to and 7 trading days following the announcement, an event research methodology was employed. Purposive sampling was used to select the 15 banking companies listed on the IDX. "Average Abnormal Return" (AAR) and "Average Trading Volume Activity"(ATVA) were used to gauge the market's response. The empirical results reveal no statistically significant differences in either AAR or ATVA surrounding the announcement period. These findings indicate that investors did not view the suspension of MSCI Index rebalancing as sufficiently relevant to influence investment decisions in the Indonesian banking sector

Abstract

The aim of this research is to evaluate how digital learning capabilities impact the development of sustainable skills among students in higher education institutions. This study also investigates the roles played by learning engagement, learning skills, and psychological capital as mediators. Because the increase in access to educational technology has not consistently been followed by a sustainable improvement in skills that meet future needs, this issue is important to discuss. This quantitative research was conducted using survey methods. The data collection method is a Likert scale questionnaire given to students as respondents. The data analysis method is PLS SEM (Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling). The research results show that digital learning ability does not directly become the main determinant of sustainable skill development; instead, it functions thru mediation mechanisms. Engagement learning has proven to be the most dominant mediator. Psychological Capital also has a significant impact. Agility, on the other hand, has a weaker influence. These results indicate that learning engagement and psychological components are crucial in transforming digital capabilities into sustainable skills thru complex and hierarchical serial mediation patterns. Based on the research findings, this article suggests that educational institutions should not only focus on providing technology but also on enhancing student learning engagement and strengthening their psychological capacities so that they can achieve high-quality education.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of TikTok User-Generated Content (UGC) on destination image and visitation intentions for whale shark tourism in Sumbawa, with destination image as the mediating variable. Based on the Stimulus–Organism–Response (S-O-R) theory, this study investigates how TikTok tourism content influences tourists’ perceptions and behavioral intentions. A quantitative explanatory approach was used in this study. Data were collected via an online questionnaire from 100 active TikTok users who had viewed Sumbawa Whale Shark content. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings indicate that TikTok UGC has a positive and significant influence on destination image and visit intention. Destination image also positively and significantly influences visit intention and acts as a mediator in the relationship between UGC and visit intention. These results indicate that authentic and visually appealing tourism content on TikTok can effectively shape positive perceptions of the destination and drive visitation intent. This study further confirms the relevance of the S-O-R framework in explaining digital tourist behavior. This research contributes to the tourism marketing literature by expanding the application of TikTok-based UGC in shaping destination image and tourist behavioral intent, particularly among Generation Z travelers

Abstract

This study analyses the effect of accounts receivable turnover, asset growth, liquidity, leverage, and company size on profitability in retail sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2019–2024. Of the 31 companies, 18 were selected as samples using purposive sampling. The analysis used panel data regression with the selected model being the common effect model. The results showed that accounts receivable turnover and company size had a significant positive effect on profitability, indicating that efficient accounts receivable management and greater company capacity could increase profits. Conversely, leverage has a significant negative effect, suggesting that excessive debt use reduces financial performance. Meanwhile, asset growth and liquidity have no effect on profitability. Managerially, these results imply the importance of optimizing accounts receivable management, controlling debt levels, and utilizing asset capacity to improve the efficiency and financial performance of retail companies.
