Abstract

Non-renewable fossil fuels have raised global concerns due to their impact on the environment, including air pollution and climate change. As an alternative fuel, Briquettes offer an environmentally friendly solution by utilizing organic waste such as sawdust and coconut shells. This study explores Palembang residents' perception of briquettes as an alternative fuel, focusing on awareness, accessibility, price, and promotion. Interview findings indicate that although some residents know the benefits of briquettes, their adoption is hampered by uneven distribution, ineffective promotion, and less competitive prices. This study highlights the importance of technological innovation in improving the quality of briquettes as well as the role of the government in providing subsidies and education to the community. With the right strategy, briquettes have great potential to support the transition to more sustainable energy use

Abstract

Information security and awareness of the dangers of information leakage are the most important things in information technology, especially information that is classified and has strategic value. Information security risk management is an approach organizations use to identify, distribute, measure, and manage risks related to information security, which, if left unchecked, can paralyze existing business process activities in the organization. In carrying out its business processes, the West Java Province Diskominfo still has risk problems, namely that information security incidents often disrupt institutional business processes, where some incidents can be handled directly (reactively) in the field. However, several other incidents require planning and time. There are quite a few solutions, and there is no proper supervision and planning in managing data and information security, so Information Security Risk Management based on ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is needed. The results of this research show that there are forty-one information security risks in the West Java Province Diskominfo, and recommendations have been given for each risk in accordance with the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the corporate identity and corporate communication strategies of RH Petrogas contribute to building the company's image, as well as how internal and external communication influence employees' understanding of the company's identity. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study method, the research reveals that while the company's external communication strategy has successfully built a positive reputation among stakeholders, internal communication still faces challenges in disseminating a consistent understanding of the company's values and philosophy to all employee levels. The findings indicate that many employees, particularly at the operational level, have not fully grasped the deeper meaning of the company's identity elements due to the lack of effective socialization and internal communication. Therefore, this study recommends improving the internal communication strategy to be more interactive and involve various organizational layers to enhance employees' comprehension and engagement with the company's corporate identity. To address these challenges, the study suggests that RH Petrogas should invest in more robust internal communication initiatives, such as implementing interactive forums, regular town hall meetings, and tailored training programs to ensure the company's values, philosophy, and identity are consistently understood and embraced by all employees across the organization. This is crucial for ensuring all employees can understand and internalize the company's corporate identity, enabling them to contribute more effectively in building the company's positive image among stakeholders.

Abstract

The problem of food waste has become a global issue that impacts economic, environmental, and social aspects. Indonesia is one of the countries with the highest levels of food waste, with around 41.4% of national waste in 2021 originating from food waste. In urban centers like Palembang, the rapid growth of population and urbanization contribute to increased food waste. Generation Z, representing about 24.34% of Indonesia's population, is identified as the age group that produces the most food waste. This research aims to explore the perceptions of Generation Z in Palembang City towards food waste, the factors influencing their behaviors, and the challenges they face. Using a descriptive quantitative method with purposive sampling, data were collected through online questionnaires and analyzed with descriptive statistics. The findings reveal that while Gen Z in Palembang is aware of the environmental and economic impacts of food waste, behavioral gaps persist due to impulsive buying, difficulties in portion estimation, and the influence of food delivery promotions. Efforts to reduce waste, such as proper food storage and reprocessing leftovers, have begun, but challenges persist. The study emphasizes the significance of targeted educational interventions, policy innovations, and community-based campaigns in promoting sustainable food consumption behaviors among Gen Z in Palembang
