Abstract

Rapid social and economic changes in urban areas have created employment challenges, particularly rising unemployment and limited absorption of labor in the formal sector. This study aims to analyze the community empowerment process through the New Entrepreneur Training Program organized by the Bandung City Manpower Office. A qualitative approach was used with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving organizers, instructors, and participants. The findings show that the training improves participants’ capacity through entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, encourages active participation, fosters awareness of business opportunities, and expands access to information and institutional support. The program also encourages participants’ independence in starting small businesses, although wider information dissemination and stronger post-training assistance are still needed.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to implement GeoGebra as a systemic innovation in geometry learning at MAN 2 Pesisir Selatan. The program was designed to address students' visual abstraction barriers and strengthen teachers' pedagogical capacity through interactive mentoring and the utilization of open-source technology. Evaluation was conducted comprehensively using a 10-item student response questionnaire. Descriptive analysis results showed an overall mean score of 3.32, categorized as "Very Good". Findings revealed a Standard Deviation (SD) of 0.063 and a Variance of 0.004, indicating highly homogeneous student responses with no polarization. Pedagogically, GeoGebra proved effective as a cognitive bridge supporting dynamic visualization, strengthening conceptual understanding, and enhancing student learning motivation. This program is recommended to be integrated sustainably into the curriculum for the development of a technological society in the future.

Abstract

The advancement of technology and the demands of Industry 4.0 have heightened the need for STEM-based education; however, science teachers in Indonesia continue to face challenges in mastering technologies such as robotics. This community service activity aimed to enhance science teachers' competency in integrating Arduino coding for Rover navigation within a space exploration learning theme. The workshop was conducted by the Science Education Study Program of FPMIPA UPI in collaboration with the Korean Astronomical Society (KAS), involving 30 participants from the Greater Bandung area. Activities included presentations on Rover concepts and hands-on coding sessions using the Arduino IDE. Evaluation results from 28 respondents showed an average score above 4 on a Likert scale, indicating positive responses toward the program's benefits. Participants who were initially skeptical about technology demonstrated increased enthusiasm and motivation. Hands-on workshops of this nature are recommended for comunity development to build a sustainable STEM learning ecosystem in Indonesia.

Abstract

Rapid advances in digital technology require Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to be adaptable in their marketing strategies. Generation Z, as a group with a high internet penetration rate (around 70%), has given rise to the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) phenomenon. This study aims to examine the implementation of the FOMO phenomenon as a marketing strategy among MSMEs and to analyze its effectiveness in enhancing product appeal and influencing purchasing decisions. The method used is a qualitative approach with case studies of SME operators who utilize social media as a promotional tool. The results show that the application of FOMO strategies through viral content, time-limited promotions, and the utilization of social media trends can increase the visibility of SME products and encourage consumer engagement. As a community development, FOMO has proven effective in driving of MSMEs in the digital market and improving people's purchasing decisions.

The methods used included counseling based on a spiritual approach, education of management of Used Cooking Oil, and demonstrations of soap making. The results of the activity showed an increase in environmental awareness and technical skills among participants. Evaluation through pre-test and post-test showed a significant increase in the average score by 79%, from an initial score of 43 to 77. Abstract

This study aims to examine the construction of self-confidence in children aged 4–5 years through teacher pedagogical interventions in school learning. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that children's self-confidence was constructed through pedagogical interactions integrated into the learning process. Teachers acted as facilitators, motivators, and models in creating a supportive and psychologically safe learning environment. In addition, successful experiences through demonstration activities and the use of the environment as a learning resource also strengthened children's self-confidence. This finding confirms that the development of children's self-confidence is multidimensional and has an impact on community development. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of pedagogical competence and social-emotional sensitivity of teachers in child-centered learning.

Abstract

Public information disclosure is a constitutional right guaranteed in a democratic state. This normative legal research aims to identify clear rules regarding the limits of intelligence secrecy in Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure. The research uses normative legal methods with statutory, conceptual, and case-based approaches. The results show that the paradigm difference between the principles of transparency and confidentiality creates legal uncertainty in practice. This condition is evident in various public information disputes that demonstrate the broad interpretation of state secrets by public bodies. The impact is not only on limiting access to information but also on public participation in oversight of public policy and regional development. Therefore, regulatory harmonization, affirmation of the limits of intelligence secrecy, and the application of a proportional consequence test are needed to achieve a balance between protecting state security and fulfilling the public's right to information.

Abstract

The problem surrounding the fragmentation of wiretapping regulations in the Indonesian criminal justice system and the formulation of an ideal policy based on the principle of due process of law. The research method used is normative legal analysis using a juridical approach and a conceptual approach. The results of this study indicate that current wiretapping practices are often carried out without a strict court approval mechanism at the initial stage, making them vulnerable to abuse of authority. In addition, the lack of transparency, the absence of a single standard regarding the duration of wiretapping, and the absence of provisions regarding the deletion of wiretapping data create potential loopholes for human rights violations. The theories used include the Theory of Legal Certainty, the Theory of Criminal Law Policy, the Theory of Authority, the Theory of Human Rights, and the Theory of the Criminal Justice System. This study recommends the development of law for all towards the enactment of a special law on wiretapping as an umbrella regulation that harmonizes it.

Abstract

The conversion of freehold land rights into building use rights (HGB) in Indonesia’s subsidized housing program raises various legal issues. This study aims to analyze the mechanism for converting as well as legal certainty following the enactment of Ministerial Regulation ATR/BPN No. 5 of 2025. The research method employed is normative legal research using a legislative and conceptual approach through a literature review of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal sources. The research results indicate that the shift in mechanism from a system of rights reduction to the transfer of rights and the granting of new rights has created procedural complexities and legal ambiguity regarding the transitional phase of state-owned land prior to the issuance of HGB. In conclusion, harmonization of regulations and clarification of transitional norms are necessary so that the mechanism for the relinquishment of land ownership rights to HGB can provide legal certainty, administrative efficiency, and support the success of sustainable society development in the subsidized housing sector.
