Abstract

Sepat leaaf (Mitragynaspeciosa) and dadangkak leaf (Hydrolea spinosa L.) are native plants of South Kalimantan. These plants have high phenolic and flavonoid content. The content of these secondary metabolites is thought to have antioxidant activity. Phenolic compounds and flavonoids work through free radical scavenging mechanisms and reduce oxidative stress. The purpose of this study was to determine the antioxidant activity of sepat leaf and dadangkak leaf using the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2picrylhydrazyl) method. Sepat and dadangkak leaf extracts were prepared by maceration method using 96% ethanol as a solvent. The extract obtained was tested for antioxidant activity using the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2picrylhydrazyl) method. The results showed that the antioxidant activity was very strong (<50 ?g / mL) in the ethanol 96% extract of sepat leaf with a value of 39.04 ?g / mL and the ethanol extract 96% of dadangkak leaf with a value of 41.84 ?g / mL.

Abstract

In last decade there has been an increase prevalence of overweight adolescents. Various strategies and products have been evaluated in effort to prevent and treat overweight using Green Tea Extract (GTE) and Senobi Breathing Exercise (SBE). However, the effect of GTE and SBE on decreasing adolescent body fat percentage in acute conditions when combined are unknown. The method used quasi experimental with control group design. The research conducted in Gymnasium laboratory of the Politeknik Unggulan Kalimantan in March 2020. The samples used were aged 18-21 years with BMI 25-29.9. Determination of samples using Federer's formula: (t-1) (n-1) ?15 obtained 4 treatment groups with a sample size of each group are 10 people that divided into: (a) overweight GTE; (b) overweight SBE; (c) overweight GTE and SBE; (d) overweight control . Measurement percentage of body fat in acute conditions shortly after treatment utilize Body Fat Monitor Scale GEA Medical EF 981. Statistical Test using Krusskall Wallis , the results obtained were P> 0.05, which indicates that there was no significant effect of GTE and SBE to reduce prevalence of adolescent body fat in acute conditions. Further research is needed to find out the correct protocol.

Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is the most common autoimmune inflammatory arthritis in adults. Pharmacological treatment is quite effective to overcome it, but in some cases, especially in elderly RA sufferers, pharmacological treatment such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), corticosteroids and DMARD (Disease Modifying Antirheumatic Drugs) have an impact on drug side effects, namely gastrointestinal disorders that cause toxic effects on liver and kidney. The developed natural medicine treatment has been supported by several previous studies that provide anti-inflammatory benefits, namely, ginger (Zingiber Officinale Rosc.). Ginger (Zingiber Officinale Rosc.) The method used is descriptive. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of respondents who suffer from rheumathoid arthritic therapy with essential ginger oil and resisted active movement. The results of the study showed that as many as 20 respondents who suffered from rheumatoid arthritis, based on their characteristics, the most were female, namely 16 people (80%, ages 60-75 years, as many as 15 people (75%), the most part of the joints experiencing rheumathoid arthritis. occurred in the knee as many as 9 people (45%), work history, at most not working as many as 8 people (40%), history of injury, there were most injuries as many as 12 people (60%)

Abstract

Caesar's operating rate continues to increase in every country, the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends the ideal Caesarean Section Rate (CSR) for a country is around 10% to 15%. INA-CBG’s is a payment with a package system based on the patient’s illness. In implementing the INA-CBG’s system, problems often occur in the financing. The thing that often happens is hospital rates in the Caesarean Sectio exceed INA-CBG’s claims. The study aims to determine the difference between hospital rates with claims of INA-CBG’s in Idaman Hospital Banjarbaru. This study is an observational hospital study of direct medical costs, data retrieved retrospectively from the JKN participant claims data of patients with Sectio Caesarea in 2019 in Hospital Idaman Banjarbaru as many as 833 data samples using samples jenuh. Data calculation to find out the difference is done by subtracking hospital rates with INA-CBG’s rates. The result showed the difference between hospital rates and INA-CBG’s rates in Sectio Caesarea patients in Hospital Idaman Banjarbaru is a negative difference of Rp. 3.908.338.992 (n=833) and the difference between the average hospital rates and the average INA-CBG’s rates is Rp.4.691.884 per patient.

Abstract

One of the skin diseases that are often experienced by people is acne. The bacteria found in acne are P. acnes, S. aureus, and S. epidermidis. The preparation was chosen in this formulation because it is more practical and durable in storage. Gel preparations were chosen because it dry easily, can form a film layer that is easy to wash, and gives a cool feeling to the skin. Physical stability tests need to be carried out to ensure the quality, safety, and usefulness of the gel so that it meets the expected specifications and is stable in storage. This study aims to make a gel formulation and determine the physical properties of green algae Ethanolic extract gel. The optimum gel formula is determined based on variations in the concentration of Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. The Gel that meets the criteria of homogeneity, consistency, pH , and dispersibility is determined as the optimum formula. The physical stability of the optimum formula was tested by organoleptic, homogeneity, pH test, spreadability test, and viscosity test. The gel that met the acceptance criteria was green algae ethanolic extract gel with a concentration of 3% HPMC so that it was determined as the optimum formula.
