Abstract

Pasein gagal ginjal terminal di Indonesia semakin meningkat dan bertahan hidup dengan kualitas hidup yang cukup baik. Pengukuran kualitas hidup diperlukan instrumen yang mudah dipahami oleh pasien. KDQOL-SFTM merupakan instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kualitas hidup. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil pilot testing kuesioner KDQOL-SFTM versi Indonesia. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu observasional analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional. Subyek pada penelitian ini adalah 20 responden kelompok sakit yang mengalami gagal ginjal dengan hemodialisa di RS PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul dan 20 responden kelompok sehat berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan dokter Puskesmas Bantul. Data yang diambil adalah waktu penyelesaian wawancara dan pendapat responden terhadap kuesioner KDQOL-SFTM. Data dianalisis dengan uji T-test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata waktu penyelesaian menjawab kuesioner pada kelompok responden sakit adalah 20 menit 28 detik dan pada kelompok sehat adalah 12 menit 28 detik. Pendapat responden terhadap kuesioner 10% mengalami kesulitan dalam menjawab pertanyaan, 47,5% responden menemukan pertanyaan yang membingungkan, 65% responden menemukan kata-kata sulit dipahami dan 100% responden menyatakan tidak ada pertanyaan yang menyinggung atau membuat sedih. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada waktu penyelesaian wawancara antara kelompok responden sakit dan sehat. Disimpulkan bahwa kuesioner perlu diperbaiki sebelum dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas mengukur kualitas hidup pasien gagal ginjal terminal.

Abstract

The skin is the outermost organ that protects the body from external damage and can experience injury. Tamarind leaves have several benefits, one of the properties is as a wound healer. This research using 25 male rats Sprague Dawley strain divided into 5 groups. The group consisted of a negative control (base gel), a positive control (comersial gel), an extract of tamarind leaves gel concentration 0.5%, 1%, and 2%. Gel application was carried out 3 times daily as much as 0.2 g for 5 days at the same hour by observing the length of the wound and scab formation. The results showed that the scab appeared on the 3rd day of the early stage of the proliferation process. Extract gel of tamarind leaves with a concentration of 0.5%, 1% and 2% had activity as an incision wound healing until day 5 showed the percentage of incision wound healing reached 17%, 19.8% and 25%. The main efficacious chemical compound for wound healing are flavonoids, saponins and tannins. Based on these results, it can be concluded that concentration extract of tamarind leaves gel the most effective as an incision wound healer is 2% with a wound healing percentage reaching 25%.

Abstract

Dayak onions plants are mostly found in Middle of Borneo area which Dayak ethnic used for medicinal plant. General the part is only the tubers while the leaves are often removed and rarely used. Dayak leeks contain alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins. Based on the content of dayak scallions, it is suspected that the metabolite compound has activity in inhibiting the growth of Escherichia coli. The aim of the study was determine of inhibitory for antibacterial activity of extract dayak (Eleutherine palmifolia Merr.) against Escherichia coli. The extraction of dayak leeks was done by maseration method using ethanol 70%. Antibacterial activity test dayak leeks extract using disc diffusion method with any other concentrate. Positive control is Ceftriaxone and negative control is ethanol 96%. Tool that was used for measurement of inhibitory zone is calipers. The result of this test indicate extract dayak leeks have antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli on concentrate 100%, 80%, 60%, 40%, and 20% with average diameter of inhibitory zone are 21.88mm (to strong); 19.88mm (strong); 17.68mm (strong): 9.81mm (medium); 3.32mm (weak). The result of SPSS analysis indicate that each extract concentrate have a different significant result (P<0,000).

Abstract

Smartphones seem to be a mandatory item for humans in searching for information, including pregnant women can easily found a health information. Knowledge of the importance of nutritional needs during pregnancy is very influential on maternal and infant health, during pregnancy, nutritional consumption needs increase rapidly, especially consumption of iron. Iron deficiency during pregnancy can cause babies born to be at risk for Stunting. Good knowledge and adherence can minimize the risk of maternal and child. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge and adherence of pregnant women about Fe consumption with the application of OTDA points. The next objective was to find out whether there was a difference between the knowledge before and after giving the application of OTDA points. The study population was pregnant women who had their pregnancies examined at the South Alalak Health Center. Respondents used in this study were 266 people. The level of knowledge of respondents before giving the OTDA application was sufficient (61.61%) and after giving the application increased to a good category (72.66%). While the level of compliance with the use of iron Fe was measured when the non-compliant post-test was 66% and the obedient was 34%

Abstract

Breast cancer and cervical cancer are the most cancers in Indonesia that require public health action and intervention.Cancer financing at Jamkesmas 2012 ranked second as much Rp.144.7M.The aim of the study was to find out the comparison between the real costs and the INA-CBGs package rates for breast cancer chemotherapy patients and cervical cancer JKN participants in RSUD Ulin Banjarmain.Nonexperimental research method with cross-sectional data design was taken retrospectively from JKN claim file in 2018, the study is comparative.Research samples in cancer patients were 306 episodes of care and 127 episodes of care in cervical cancer patients.Data analysis was tested with one-sample t-test to see the comparison of average real costs with INA CBG rates.Based on the results of one-sample t-test, it shows that in all severity levels(I,II,III) there is a significant difference (p<0.05) between real costs and INA-CBGs package rates, except for the severity of I (class1) values p>0.05. The average cost for breast cancer patients to pay for each chemotherapy, the severity I is Rp.4,496,831 and the severity II is Rp.7,797,032.The average cost in patients with cervical cancer chemotherapy, at the severity level I Rp.3,388,248, the severity level II Rp.3,475,007 and the severity level III Rp.3,535,933.

Abstract

Asthma is a chronic disease that can be prevented by treatment with reliever. Metered Dose Inhalers (MDI) is one of the rapid treatments for asthma, but the use of MDI techniques is still lacking in patients can cause asthma treatment is not optimal. Pharmacy students are the seeds of advanced study programs, namely pharmacists who will be responsible for explaining to patients about how to use MDI and MDI with spacers correctly. This study aims to determine the effect of providing education in the form of videos on how to use inhalers. This study was a quasi experimental study using a checklist. Sampling using the non random sampling method using purposive techniques. Data will be processed with descriptive statistical analysis. The MDI group research samples were 85 subjects while the MDI group with 84 spacers. The results of the study showed that there were differences in the completeness of the explanation on how to use MDI (p = 0,000) and MDI with spacers (p = 0,000) after giving video education. So it can be concluded that video education is effective in increasing the completeness of the explanation on how to use MDI and MDI with spacers.

Abstract

Buas Buas (Premna serratifolia L.) contains secondary metabolites of flavonoids, saponins, tannins and triterpenoids/steroids, where flavonoids are known to have antioxidant properties and counteract free radicals. Antioxidants are compounds that can fight toxic hazards and reduce cell damage to the body caused by free radical oxidation. The purpose of this study was to determine the antioxidant activity of ethanol extracts of buas-buas leaves was carried out by DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl), using UV-Vis spectrophotometry at wavelength 518.40 nm with various concentrations of 10 ppm, 20 ppm, 30 ppm, 40 ppm and 50 ppm. The results showed that Buas Buas leaves (Premna serratifolia L.) had an antioxidant activity with IC50 values ??of 20.66 ug / mL.

Abstract

Cuttlefish (sepia officinalis) have internal shells commonly called cuttlebones which produce more chitin than shrimp shells and crab skins. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of chitosan from cuttlebone including the degree of deacetylation, water content, solubility, organoleptic test (color, odor, texture) as well as testing the value of chitosan protecting the sun protection factor. Chitosan is made in 3 stages, namely deproteination, demineralization, and deacetylation. Deproteination with 4% NaOH at 100 ° C for 60 minutes. Demineralization at room temperature using 1M HCl solution for 120 minutes. Deacetylation using 50% NaOH concentration at 100 ° C for 60 minutes. Chitosan characterization includes the degree of deacetylation, moisture content, solubility, organoleptic test (color, odor, texture). Testing the value of sun protection factor using a UV-VIS spectrophotometer read at wavelengths from 290 to 320 nm. Characteristics of chitosan produced according to chitosan standards used in industry with a deacetylation rate of 71%, yield 31%, moisture content of 0.93%, soluble in acetic acid2% solution, white odorless and powdery. Chitosan with a concentration of 3% gives the value of sun protecting factor 9 as a potential sunscreen that provides maximum protection power.

Abstract

Hydroquinone has been used in cosmetics because of its whitening activity. In previous studies, B-carotene in Moringa plants was also known as an inhibitor of the tyrosinase enzyme. It is necessary to know how the interaction mechanism of B-carotene with tyrosinase (5M8N) and which compounds between hydroquinone and B-carotene provide computationally better activity as whitening. Tyrosinase was prepared using Discovery Studio Visualizer. Ligands were prepared using Autodock 4.2. Autodock-Vina is used for ligand docking between proteins. The result is the binding affinity (kcal/mol) of the ligand to protein. Visualization of docking between ligands and proteins using the Ligplot + Program with a 1 year license. Media used for the docking process is a computer with an Intel Core i7-3770 CPU with a speed of 3.40 GHz 8 cores, 1920x1080p resolution, VGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750, 8 GB RAM, Windows 8 64-bit. The docking results showed that the binding affinity of B-carotene to tyrosinase was -11.2 while hydroquinone with tyrosinase was -5.4 with RMSD 0. The results of visualization showed that B-carotene binds more amino acid receptors than hydroquinone. B-carotene in moringa has been shown to be active not only in wet laboratories, but also in dry laboratories.

Abstract

Solid Lipid Nanoparticles are composed of active substances, solid fats, water and surfactants. SLN has advantages by having a small particle size of 50-1000 nm and a large absorption efficiency value of 40-100%. SLN has a homogeneous particle size with a IP value that is closed to zero. One of the methods used to produce SLN is HSH/ High pressure homogeneity where the process uses pressure to produce small particle size. The HSH/ High-speed homogeneity method uses stirring speed as a parameter in the manufacture of nanoparticles. Solvent emulsification method does not use high temperatures in the homogeneity process. The most important SLN characteristics are particle size and entrapment efficiency values. These characteristics are strongly influenced by large concentration of solid fat and surfactants. The greater amount of the surfactant used, the smaller the particle size and the increasing value of the trap efficiency. If the solid fat concentration used is greater, the particle size will be as larger, but the absorption efficiency value will be greater because the fat will provide more space for the active substance to be entrapped.
