Abstract

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) belong to endomycorrhizae and are symbiotic with nearly 90% of plants. Studies on the diversity of AMF with the Duabanga tree species (Duabanga moluccana Blume.) Have not been widely reported. This study aims to determine the diversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) in Duabanga plants in Konda District, Konawe Selatan Regency. Soil and plant root samples were taken in Konda District, Konawe Selatan Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. Observations of root colonization, isolation and identification of AMF were carried out at the plastic house of the Indonesian Mycorrhizal Association (AMI) Southeast Sulawesi Branch, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi Province, for 4 months. The results showed that the two dwarf plants were colonized by AMF. The types of AMF found were 5 types of spores from the genus Glomus. The AMF structures found are internal hyphae, external hyphae and vesicles. The diversity of AMF is in the low category.

Abstract

Mango (Mangifera indica L.) is a fruit plant that has great development potential because of its high genetic diversity. Mangoes are popular for their delicious sweet taste once they reach maturity. This research aims to: 1) Find out the effect of giving gibberellin on the growth of Mangifera indica L. grafted seeds. 2) To determine the effect of growth of grafted mango plant seeds (Mangnivera indica L) on scion variants. 3) Find out whether gibberlin and scion varieties affect the growth of grafted mango (Mangifera indica L) seedlings. First hypothesis: 1. The growth of grafted mango plant seedlings (Mangifera indica L) is influenced by the use of gibberellin. 2) The scion variety influences the development of grafted mango plant seeds (Mangifera indica L). 3) The interaction of gibberellin and scion type influences the growth of mango (Mangifera indica L) seedlings after grafting. This study tested the effect of giving gibberlin at three levels and scion varieties at three levels of treatment using a factorial randomized block design (RAK) with two levels. Three copies of the experiment were carried out. The analysis will proceed to the least significant difference test (BNT) at a significance level of 5% if the F test findings show a statistically significant effect.

Abstract

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are the most common type of mycorrhiza and are the result of an obligate symbiont between fungi and roots that form a mutualistic symbiosis in several plants. This research aims to determine the increase in AMF spore production from the rhizosphere of Siompu oranges using single culture at the Nggula-nggula location. This research was conducted at the Plastic House of the Indonesian Mycorrhizal Association (AMI) Southeast Sulawesi Branch, UHO Old Campus and the UHO Forestry and Environmental Science Laboratory Unit which lasted for 3 months from May – July 2023. This research was designed using a Completely Randomized Design consisting of 12 treatments, each treatment was repeated 3 times and 5 plants were used for each repetition so that the total plants were 180 plants. The results showed that AMF spore production was not influenced by the type of AMF treatment. The types of spores produced in a single spore culture range from 13-127 spores at 3 months of age.
