Abstract

Melon cultivation is not easy and requires intensive handling because melon plants are sensitive to environmental changes and are susceptible to disease. The use of Chlorella pyrenoidosa microalgae-based fertilizer is one of the breakthroughs that have been made by researchers in helping melon cultivation. This microalgae fertilizer is intended for nutrient fulfillment as well as controlling soil pH. People are still very unfamiliar with the use of this Chlorella Pyrenoidosa microalgae-based fertilizer. It is necessary to carry out further analysis of the use of microalgae Chlorella Pyrenoidosa as fertilizer, especially for use in melon cultivation. The analysis carried out was to see the results of the preference test based on the organoleptic test of the melon itself with the use of Chlorella Pyrenoidosa fertilizer. It is intended that the community, especially melon farmers, can have more knowledge about this microalgae-based organic fertilizer. The feasibility test of the results was carried out by the organoleptic test method on 30 respondents with different age variations on the preferences for melons produced by each treatment. Organoleptic test includes testing of the color, smell, taste, and texture of each melon produced by each treatment. Organoleptic data were analyzed using SPSS using the One Way Anova method and followed by Duncan's analysis. The use of Chlorella Pyrenoidosa microalgae fertilizer did not have a significant difference to the organoleptic test on its use in melon cultivation. This can be used as an option for farmers to use Chlorella Pyrenoidosa microalgae fertilizer as a substitute fertilizer for melon cultivation.

Abstract

TPD was a physiological caused by overstimulation ethylene an overproduction of reactive oxygen species (ROS). As an adaptive response, plant produce antioxidant such as secondary metabolites one of them was ascorbic acid (AsA). Exogenous application of AsA has been very effective in improving plant growth and development by altering oxidative defense system and induction of tannin synthesis in response to environmental stresses may also indicate potential functions. These Research aimed to provided activity of ascorbic peroxidase, tannin and production in Hevea brasiliensis Clones PB 260 affected Tapping Panel Dryness and to find the effect of ascorbic acid on production latex in in Hevea brasiliensis Clones PB. The research was conducted in rubber plantation of Sungei Putih Research Institute, Deli Serdang Regency North Sumatra with PB 260 as clone were planted in 2006 to 2007 at ± 54 m above sea level. The interval for treatment was once a week for 4 months. The observation was made 4th months after first application. The parameters observed were production, the activity of Askorbic peroxidase and tanin. The result showed Applicated ascorbic acid 150 ppm can increased the production of latex and tannins in rubber plants that are exposed to tapping panel dryness (TPD) but reduced the activity of the ascorbate peroxidase (Apx).

Abstract

One of the inherent traits of youth is the desire to dabble in new things. This desire is not accompanied by good self-control so that teenagers can fall into negative things such as being drug users. This can have an impact on the future and an incoherent relationship with parents. The method uses qualitative research with data collection techniques with in-depth observations and interviews. The results showed that the attitude of teenagers in Donggala Regency can be antagonistic, not listen to the advice of parents and perform physical acts on parents and become thieves in their own homes and in the surrounding environment because the teenagers have become drug users.
