<![CDATA[Purpose – This community service activity aims to provide assistances for Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs), specially for food and beverage field, applying halal certification via Halal self-declared (SEHATI) Program. Design/methodology/approach – This program is conducted by recruting and training students as certified halal companion (PPH) by BPJPH. This were done by collaboration between Halal Center Studies of the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (PKH-ITS) and ITS Techno Science. The SMEs training for Halal Process held around August 2023. Afterward, all the PPH will be accompanied and assisted the SMEs for applying the halal certificate via SIHALAL system; including preparing the SJPH, entry all the information, submitting the document, verification and validation as well as done the revision untill the halal certificate was finally issued. Findings – The SEHATI program has been started since 2021 and the quota continues to increase every year. However, not every SMEs known this information. It is mandatory for food and beverage, slaughter services, and slaughter products at 17th October 2024 should be halal certified. Therefore, PKH-ITS together with PPH helps and assists SMEs in applying a halal certification through a community service program at 2022. The upgraded facilities of SIHALAL’s website (version 2022) make it more user friendly. The 15 SMEs have certified via the SEHATI22 program with PKH assistances. Originality/value – Though the SEHATI Program is announced by the goverment at 2021, this relatively not well known by the SMEs as the subject of the halal certification. Hence, third party such PKH-ITS need to present for accompanying and assisting the SMEs. The SIHALAL system is used for submitting the application of halal certification. Therefore, highly technology adapted of the PPH are required, for completely assisting the SMEs. Hence, the presence of the PPH in this process is mandatory and vital; increasing the succesibility of the SEHATI program.]]>

<![CDATA[Purpose – The Indonesian government had a chronic disease management program, PROLANIS, targeted for diabetes and hypertension since 2010 to prevent chronic disease patients from severe complications through monitoring and control measures. The purpose of this community service was to improve the health status of diabetic patients who participate in PROLANIS in Sukodadi and Sukolilo Villages, Lamongan Regency, through analysis of blood glucose levels. Design/methodology/approach – To overcome the problems previously mentioned, community service has been proposed. This service includes educating participants about metabolic syndrome and health checks. The main aim of this educational program is to increase public awareness about diabetes mellitus. The blood examination aims to determine the prevalence of diabetes mellitus in these villages. This educational program involves direct mentoring and outreach methods, such as the creation of booklets, educational videos, and PPTs. Findings and Discussions – In Sukodadi and Sukolilo Villages, community service was organized as a response to the high prevalence of diabetes mellitus. The program included blood tests and educational sessions for participants enrolled in the PROLANIS initiative. Analysis of the data revealed that the average blood sugar level of the participants was 143.1 mg/dl, slightly above the normal blood sugar level tolerance limit of 140 mg/dl. Nevertheless, the results indicate that the blood sugar levels of the participants can be effectively managed and kept below the diabetes tolerance threshold of <200 mg/dl. Originality/value – Our community services in Sukodadi and Sukolilo Village, Lamongan Regency, showed that most elderly women with diabetes mellitus are retired. As people age, their risk of high blood glucose levels increases. Despite the average glucose level of PROLANIS participants being higher than normal, it can still be controlled. Our findings can guide the government to organize diabetes management programs and help service providers carry out prevention measures.]]>

<![CDATA[Purpose – The purpose of this community service activity is to provide education to the residents of Dusun Tapen, especially the Water Hyacinth Craftsmen of Cempaka Tapen, to enhance the digital marketing of their products. In this activity, we also aim to encourage the local government to support Cempaka Tapen's handicraft business so that it can become a Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDES) and further advance and develop. Design/methodology/approach – This community service activity consists of several stages of activities: (1) Observation, using interview and field survey methods; (2) Formulation of activities, as a follow-up to the observation; (3) Dissemination/Socialization to the residents; and (4) Facilitation of infrastructure and facility assistance. Findings – The impact of implementing this activity is the establishment of social media accounts for Cempaka Tapen's SMEs. Entrepreneurs can operate social media effectively, and engagement with these SMEs has increased. Additionally, the local government has begun considering the establishment of a BUMDES, even though the results are not yet visible. Originality/value - The originality of this activity is in the research object and location. This activity focuses on the capacity development of human resources in Cempaka Tapen's SMEs, as one of the SMEs in Dusun Tapen, to introduce digital marketing and apply it to the sales process.]]>

<![CDATA[Purpose – The purpose of this service is to facilitate sports coaching education alumni to hone quality and add insight into sports coaching in the field of sport medicine (sports health) so that they can analyze the health status of athletes in carrying out a given training program, can find out the design of exercises that are suitable for the growth and development of athletes, and handling post-injury athletes. Design/methodology/approach – In this service activity using the lecture method by conveying material about sports health, practicing material that has been obtained from resource persons, providing implementation support by conducting implementation assistance, measuring results through comparison of pre-test and post-test scores given, and following up on results by analyzing the data obtained from the results of the pre-test and post-test. Findings – From this community service activity, the results of the pre-test data analysis showed a percentage of 50.5%, after being converted using the criteria table, it can be concluded that the results of the pre-test data are included in the fairly effective category. While the analysis of the post-test data shows a percentage of 81.33%, after being converted using the criteria table, it can be concluded that the results of the post-test data are included in the very effective category. This shows that there is an increase in knowledge of alumni after the implementation of sports health hybrid training and being given products in the form of videos on sports health material. The video can be used as a guide or literature reference by sports coaching education alumni when they are in the field to manage the health and nutrition of athletes and students. Originality/value – Previous articles were limited to delivering exercise physiology material. Therefore, the community service team carries out strengthening the sports health science approach which includes nutrition and sports material, sports injury first aid, splint dressing, and physical activity in children which is carried out in a hybrid manner. The results of the dedication of the team proposing this activity are expected to produce professional trainers who are ready to compete in the world of sports coaching.]]>

<![CDATA[Purpose – This community service aims to increase local economic potensial and implement one of objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s), namely improving community welfare by analysing the weaknesses and strengths of micro businesses run by the Palangsari Village community. Design/methodology/approach – This community service using SWOT analysis techniques with IFAS and EFAS for analysing the weaknesses and strengths of micro businesses run by the Palangsari Village community. Findings – Based on the results of the SWOT analysis accompanied by IFAS and EFAS analysis, it shows that the economic position of Palangsari Village is in quadrant 1. Therefore, action is needed to maintain the position of Palangsari village in quadrant 1 by increasing its strenghts and reducingf its weaknesses. Increasing the strenghts of Palangsari Village can be done through promotional activities for products processed by local communities. Meanwhile, strenghtening the potential of the dairy farming sector can be done by improving the quality of human resources for village development and processing local products. Originality/value – This Partnership program with the community helps the service team carry out training, manage and market processed village product, especially dairy cow milk from Palangsari Village.]]>

<![CDATA[Purpose – This community service activity aims to introduce the concept of digital marketing to members of the Preman Super Community (Independent Women Sources of Change) and help MSMEs utilize digital marketing to increase competitiveness. Design/methodology/approach – Implementation of activities uses the Participatory Rural Appraisal method with four stages: identification, program design preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Findings – This activity results in an increased understanding of the Preman Super Community MSMEs regarding digital marketing. Community members realize the importance of digital marketing to increase business competitiveness and expand market share. Utilizing digital marketing can also help MSMEs to increase brand awareness. Originality/value – The era of digitalization requires MSMEs to innovate in the type of marketing they carry out. This service activity was carried out to educate the Super Preman Community MSMEs so they can utilize digital marketing to increase business competitiveness.]]>

<![CDATA[Purpose – The aim of the “Bhumi Literacy” program is to overcome the decline in education in Banyusidi Village and reinvigorate the literacy spirit of the target participants. Methodology – One of the crucial problems is the degradation of education as evidenced by the high school dropout rate and the decline in literacy. To overcome this, the Ormawa Student Association of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program through the Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa) carries out community empowerment activities with the "Bhumi Literacy" program. Bhumi Literasi is a program for cultivating and developing children's literacy skills through non-formal education activities. The Bhumi Literacy Program is implemented using preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation methods, as well as hearings and partner assistance. Findings – Through this method, five literacy sub-programs were developed which will be implemented, namely sub-programs for scientific literacy, digital literacy, financial literacy, reading-writing literacy and cultural literacy. The five sub-programs produce outputs in the form of local cultural wisdom products in the form of succulent plants, pine hangers, pine bouquets, mugs and tote bags created by the trained participants. Originality – Apart from producing concrete and useful outcomes, the "Bhumi Literacy" program is a service program designed within the non-formal education curriculum to adapt to the educational needs of children in the digital era. The learning process that takes place is very innovative, fun and meaningful.]]>

<![CDATA[Purpose – This community service activity aims to carry out training in calculating the cost of production of dry mini pastel products carried out by UMKM Rizki Kanaya. Design/methodology/approach – The method used in this service is by means of training and summaries regarding calculating the cost of production. The training was carried out by delivering material on calculating the cost of production to MSME Rizki Kanaya employees. The next step is to carry out a direct calculation simulation of the cost of production of Rizki Kanaya UMKM mini pastel products. Findings – The community service activities carried out obtained the result that Rizky Kanaya MSMEs still did not differentiate between raw materials and auxiliary materials. This service can help MSME Rizky Kanaya first separate raw materials and auxiliary materials in calculating mini pastel production costs. So you can determine a selling price that is able to compete with competitors in the market. Originality/value – Through this community service program activity, we can overcome the problem of determining the cost of production in terms of differentiating between raw materials and auxiliary materials as components that form the cost of production for MSME Rizky Kanaya.]]>

<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Tujuan – Tujuan dari program ini adalah memberikan kompetensi nyata untuk mitra yaitu Sanggar Bimbingan Belajar Surya sesuai dengan keinginan mitra dalam membuat dan melaporkan laporan keuangan secara sistematis dan berkelanjutan. Desain/metodelogi/pendekatan – Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui tahapan kegiatan sosialisasi, pelatihan dan pendampingan laporan keuangan berbasis excel kepada mitra seusai kebutuhan. Hasil – Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa setelah dilakukan sosialisasi dan pelatihan laporan keuangan berbasis excel, mitra memiliki kesadaran akan pentingnya informasi keuangan yang dihasilkan oleh laporan keuangan bagi pengambilan keputusan dan pengelolaan organisasi. Kegiatan pendampingan juga diberikan kepada mitra setelah mendapat kan pelatihan, meskipun mengalami keterbatasan waktu dan jarak yang jauh antara mitra dan tim pengabdi.
