Abstract

Dusun Pelanjau of Bukit Sigoler Village, has a variety of local potentials that can be developed into tourism potential, to optimize the existing potential, there is a need for community empowerment efforts to optimize the tourism potential of dusun Pelanjau in order to improve the welfare of its people. This study aims to determine the empowerment of local communities based on the tourism potential of the dusun Pelanjau of Bukit Sigoler. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that dusun Pelanjau has a lot of potential that can be developed into tourism potential such as customs, historical sites and nature. This potential is a supporting factor and the community is an inhibiting factor because people do not know much about tourism. The community empowerment process is carried out by raising awareness in the form of conducting socialization, skills skills where the government can provide training to Pokdarwis and the community and increasing intellectual abilities or institutional strength where at this stage the government has formed Pokdarwis through a decree from the local government and includes the Pokdarwis program. into the village budget.

Abstract

Interaction is an extremely important aspect of human life, including for women. In Islam, the Qur'an provides guidance on social ethics that align with sharia values. However, the understanding of the concept of social interaction for women in the Holy Qur'an is still often misunderstood. Therefore, this study aims to discuss the concept of female social interaction based on an analysis of thematic interpretation (tafsir) to provide a comprehensive perspective. This research also has the objective to comprehensively understand the concept of women's social interaction in the Qur'an, identify relevant verses along with their interpretations (tafsir), and examine its implementation in daily life. Using Quraish Shihab's thematic tafsir method, this study examines verses such as QS. Al-Ahzab verse 32 and QS. An-Nur verse 31 as primary references. This study will explain how women's social interaction should be according to QS. An-Nur verse 31 and QS. Al-Ahzab verse 32 and its implementation in daily activities. This study is important to serve as a lesson on how to behave properly in accordance with the Qur'an.

Abstract

The gacha mechanism is analyzed as a contemporary form of maysir (gambling) and gharar (uncertainty) that are forbidden, as they involve spending real treasures to acquire virtual items at random with low probability. The research uses a qualitative, descriptive-analytical approach with content analysis methods and in-depth interviews with Islamic legal experts. The results of the study show that gacha not only contradicts sharia principles, but also negatively impacts the consumptive, spiritual, and socio-economic behavior of players, especially generation Z. Evaluation based on sharia maqashid reveals that gacha threatens five main goals of sharia: religion, intellect, property, descent, and honor. The implications of the research emphasize the importance of strict regulation, probability transparency, Islamic financial literacy education, and the development of a more ethical game monetization model.

Abstract

The Marpege-Pege tradition, a practice of mutual assistance and cooperation in the Pargarutan Village community, South Tapanuli Regency, is a form of local wisdom that still survives amidst the currents of modernization. This research is based on the academic urgency to show how living hadith works within the local cultural realm and contributes to the preservation of customary values that are in harmony with Islam. The research aims to identify Marpege-Pege values that are relevant to Islamic principles, interpret their relationship with the hadith on mutual assistance, brotherhood, and deliberation, and explain the internalization of hadith teachings in the community's social practices. This research was conducted using a qualitative-phenomenological method with participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and field documentation as primary data sources, which were then analyzed by emphasizing the relationship between the hadith text and customary practices. The results show that Marpege-Pege is understood by the community not only as a customary tradition, but also as an implementation of the Prophet's hadith on community solidarity, mutual cooperation in goodness, and mutual assistance in social and religious matters. Collective activities such as housebuilding, weddings, and agricultural management demonstrate the values of togetherness, deliberation, volunteerism, and Islamic brotherhood, which serve as the basis for religious legitimacy for these practices. In conclusion, Marpege-Pege serves as a medium for harmonious integration between custom and Islam, while demonstrating the relevance of living hadith in strengthening social cohesion and providing a conceptual contribution to the study of the relationship between local traditions and Islamic teachings.

Abstract

The phenomenon of online gambling, a modern form of gambling, has created serious social, economic, and moral problems. The practice can be analyzed through the concept of maisir, which is expressly prohibited in the hadith and the Quran due to its elements of betting, speculation, uncertainty, and destructive impact on individuals and society. This study aims to examine the hadith’s understanding of maisir by highlighting the views of classical and contemporary scholars and linking them to the relevance of the online gambling phenomenon. The research method used was qualitative with a thematic-comparative approach. The results show that classical scholars understand maisir as any form of betting-based transaction that negates fairness in exchange, thus being considered detrimental to spiritual and social values. Meanwhile, contemporary scholars expand the definition of maisir to modern phenomena such as online gambling, emphasizing aspects of financial loss, psychological addiction, technological exploitation, and moral degradation. The hadiths prohibiting maisir are considered relevant in the digital context because their principles are able to address the challenges of application-based gambling and online media. Furthermore, there are legal and social implications that Sharia regulations regarding maisir must be adapted to technological developments to protect society from the dangers of online gambling. The implications of this research are the importance of strengthening religious literacy in society, increasing the role of Islamic scholars and institutions in issuing fatwas and education regarding online gambling, and encouraging the government and legal authorities to integrate sharia principles with digital technology regulations.

Abstract

Muharram is known as one of the holy months that has the virtue of worship and certain prohibitions, however in Javanese culture in Sengon Sari Village, Aek Kuasan District, this month is also considered sacred with a number of taboos passed down from generation to generation. This phenomenon gives rise to a dialectic between cultural norms and religious teachings, especially when some of these prohibitions are not explicitly stated in Islamic sources, thus requiring analysis from the perspective of hadith. This study aims to examine the forms of prohibitions on activities in the month of Muharram according to Javanese culture in Sengon Sari Village and assess their relevance and suitability with Islamic teachings through a study of hadith. The method used is a mixed-method with a descriptive-analytical approach through interviews with traditional leaders, observation of cultural practices, and a review of hadith literature. The results show that Javanese people in the village avoid several activities such as marriage, long travel, moving house, and holding large celebrations in the month of Muharram because they are believed to bring bad luck or disaster. However, from the perspective of the hadith, there is no ṣaḥīḥ basis to support this assumption. In fact, the hadith emphasizes Muharram as a month of worship, particularly with the recommendation of the Ashura fast. This cultural prohibition is more of a myth and an attempt to maintain social harmony than a religious obligation. The implication of this research is the need for education that integrates local wisdom values with a proportional understanding of the hadith, so that traditions can continue to be appreciated as part of cultural identity without obscuring authentic Islamic teachings, while also opening up space for dialogue between religious and traditional leaders in building socio-religious harmony.

Abstract

This research is based on the phenomenon of the practice of qazaʻ, namely shaving part of the head and leaving the rest, which is still found in Dolok Hataran Village, Siantar District, Simalungun Regency. This practice contradicts the prohibition conveyed in the Prophet’s hadith because it is considered similar to the tradition of ignorance, contains elements of imperfection in appearance, and has the potential to cause social stigma. The purpose of this study is to analyze the public’s understanding of the hadith prohibiting qazaʻ and examine the implementation of the hadith’s values in everyday life. The method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that the public’s understanding of qaza' is still limited to the physical dimension of shaving hair without considering the normative basis of the hadith. Some people consider qazaʻ only a children’s hairstyle, while a handful of religious leaders emphasize the prohibition as part of Islamic ethics in maintaining self-respect. The implementation of the hadith in the field is not consistent; despite counseling from religious leaders, qazaʻ is still found at certain moments such as traditional parties or the style of modernization of youth. The implications of these findings indicate the importance of strengthening hadith literacy in religious education and more communicative cultural daʻwah, so that the values contained in the hadith regarding the prohibition of qazaʻ are not only understood normatively but can also be internalized in social behavior, forming collective awareness, and encouraging the transformation of local traditions towards religious practices that are in line with Islamic teachings.

Abstract

The purpose of this study describes the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning model in increasing learning independence and learning outcomes of grade IV students in mathematics learning in elementary schools. The research method used is an experimental method with quasi-experimental design, the form of one group pretest – posttest design. Data collection tools in the form of observation sheets for the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model, learning independence questionnaires and student learning outcomes test sheets in the form of essays totaling 10 questions. Based on the results of the study, the average implementation of the learning model in the very good category was 90% at the first meeting and 95% at the second meeting. The Problem Based Learning model is effective in increasing learning independence and student learning outcomes as evidenced by the results of hypothesis tests obtained by the variables of learning independence and learning outcomes based on GIS (2-tailed) is 0.000 < 0.05. The variables of learning independence and learning outcomes obtained a significance value of 0.000 which is smaller than the significance of 0.005. Based on statistical calculations, the average learning outcomes of students before treatment was 62.39 and the average learning outcomes of students after treatment were 77.75. This means that the use of the Problem Based Learning model is effective in increasing learning independence, and the learning outcomes of grade IV students in mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research was oriented to evaluate the mathematics learning in digital technology empowerment using the CIPP at SMAN 03 Pontianak. The researcher used indicators in the UNESCO ICT Competency Framework for Teachers (2018) to identify their existence and technical implementation in each learning agenda or CIPP evaluation sub-component. The research type applied was evaluative research with a qualitative approach. The evaluation output on aspects of the teacher's digital competence application in mathematics learning at research locations is on a low scale with an achievement percentage of 9.6%, with a percentage of <21% when assessed based on each component or sub-component of the CIPP evaluation model of digital competency application in learning mathematics even in some of the sub-components of needs analysis and identification of problems in the Context component and learning monitoring in the Process component did not identify elements of digital technology empowerment at all. Apart from being triggered by indicators of digital technology empowerment not specific to the Principal's academic supervision, the teacher contributed by not giving the special attention to the systematic implementation of the learning agenda along with elements of technology empowerment on it.

Abstract

The lack of mastery of reading skills in learning English is a problem faced by the tenth-grade students Accounting class in SMKN 2 Singkawang especially to determine the main idea and evaluate specific details in narrative text. This research aim to find the effect of The Power of Two Strategy and Google Classroom to improve students’ reading ability. This research was conducted at SMKN 2 Singkawang, especially among the tenth-grade students of Accounting class. The researcher applied Classroom Action Research (CAR) by conducting two cycles and three meetings in each cycle. The data was collected from 35 tenth-grade students in Accounting class. In collecting data, the researcher used reading tests, observation checklists and field notes. For the data analysis researcher used quantitative and qualitative data. The instrument used to collect data was a reading test. The results of the research in the first and second cycles involved seventy-three and seventy-eight. The finding of this research showed that The Power of Two Strategy and Google Classroom were effective in improving student’s reading ability in enhancing student’s reading ability.
