Abstract

Along with technological advancements and the ease of internet access through mobile phones, people of all ages—from children to adults—often use them to spend their time. This situation raises concerns among parents and their children. Therefore, the implementation of a full-day school program offers a breath of fresh air for parents, encouraging them to choose schools that apply this learning model. The aim of this study is to explore the implementation of a faith-based full-day school program at SD YKPP Pendopo. The research used a qualitative method, with data collection techniques including observation, documentation, and interviews. The results of the study show that it analyzes the implementation of the faith-based full-day school program at SD YKPP Pendopo, focusing on strategies, challenges, and efforts to overcome these challenges. The full-day school aims to develop students’ intellectual, physical, social, and emotional aspects through a curriculum designed to support their growth. However, there are several obstacles such as student fatigue, limited facilities and infrastructure, and differences in students’ individual characteristics. The strategies to overcome these challenges include varied teaching methods, the use of media, adjusted seating arrangements, and learning outside the classroom. Parental support and teacher creativity are also considered crucial. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of principal supervision management in improving teacher performance in an organization through a literature review approach. Principal supervision is one of the strategic instruments in developing teacher professionalism and improving the quality of learning. This study uses a semi-systematic approach to examine various research results related to principal supervision at the elementary to secondary education levels from 2018 to 2024. The results of the study indicate that supervision carried out in a structured, collaborative, and professional development-based manner has an impact on positive motivation, engagement, and quality of teacher teaching. Factors such as the principal's leadership style, clear supervision policies, support for professional development, and a culture of collaboration in schools also determine the effectiveness of supervision. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening the principal's managerial capacity to create a supervision system that supports continuous improvement in teacher performance and student learning outcomes. This study provides practical implications for the development policy and practice of supervision in the school environment, and opens up opportunities for further research with a quantitative or mixed approach.Key Words: Supervision, Teacher Performance, Education Management, Professional

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the opportunities and obstacles in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum at the Early Childhood Education (PAUD) level through a literature study approach. Merdeka Curriculum is presented as an effort to transform national education which is more flexible and learner-centered. In the context of PAUD, this curriculum emphasizes a play-based holistic approach and character strengthening through the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5). This study analyzes a range of relevant secondary sources, including scientific journals, policy documents and educational reference books, spanning the period 2019-2024. The results show that the main opportunities for implementing Merdeka Curriculum include learning flexibility, teachers' freedom in developing teaching modules, and a fun contextual approach. However, a number of obstacles were also identified, such as uneven teacher readiness, limited infrastructure, overlapping curriculum understanding, and lack of parental involvement. This study recommends the need for continuous training, increased collaboration between teachers and parents, and strengthening learning communities in PAUD environments to support the optimal implementation of Merdeka Curriculum. Keywords: Merdeka Curriculum, PAUD, Implementation Barriers
