Abstract

This research explores the urgency and legal formulation of implementing Deferred Prosecution Agreements (DPA) for corporations involved in personal data breaches, and its relevance to the reform of Indonesia’s Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP). The study is motivated by the increasing number of high-profile data breach cases in Indonesia such as those involving Tokopedia, BPJS Kesehatan, and PLN which highlight the weaknesses in law enforcement mechanisms and inadequate victim protection. The findings reveal that Indonesia’s criminal justice system, which strictly adheres to the principle of legality, lacks procedural flexibility to handle corporate crime through restorative and preventive approaches. In contrast, DPAs have been effectively implemented in various jurisdictions (e.g., the United States and the United Kingdom) to promote corporate accountability, facilitate victim compensation, and support economic sustainability. This study applies a normative juridical method combined with statutory, comparative, and conceptual approaches, and critically examines the Personal Data Protection Act (Law No. 27 of 2022). The research identifies a regulatory gap in KUHAP, which does not currently accommodate restorative mechanisms such as DPA within its prosecutorial framework. As a result, the study proposes an ideal DPA model for Indonesia, which includes: limited prosecutorial discretion, mandatory corporate compliance conditions, victim participation, and judicial oversight. The study concludes that incorporating DPA into Indonesia’s criminal procedure would enhance the country’s legal response to digital corporate crimes while reinforcing victims' rights and promoting procedural efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the service quality, taste quality, and the restaurant's atmosphere affect customers' buying choices at Sushi Tei Karawaci. It also examines how consumer trust plays a role in connecting these factors, and how Islamic business ethics can influence these relationships. The research uses a quantitative method along with SEM-PLS analysis. The findings show that service quality and taste quality have a strong effect on consumer trust, but the restaurant's atmosphere does not. Taste quality and the atmosphere strongly influence purchasing decisions, but service quality does not. Consumer trust is a big factor in purchasing decisions and also helps connect the other factors. Islamic business ethics affect how service quality, taste quality, and the atmosphere relate to purchasing decisions. Honesty, fairness, and transparency, which are part of Islamic ethics, make these connections stronger. The study suggests that restaurant owners should focus on improving service and taste, build trust with customers, and use Islamic ethical values as part of their marketing plan to be more responsible and effective.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of promotion and design on purchasing decisions for Wuling electric cars in Tangerang City, with consumer trust as a mediating variable and insurance as a moderating variable. A quantitative approach was employed using non-probability purposive sampling, involving 125 respondents. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 3.0. The results reveal that promotion has a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions, while design and consumer trust show no direct influence. Promotion, design, and insurance significantly affect consumer trust; however, insurance does not moderate the relationships between promotion, design, and consumer trust. Furthermore, consumer trust does not mediate the effects of promotion or design on purchasing decisions. These findings provide valuable implications for marketing strategies in the electric vehicle industry, particularly for Wuling, by emphasizing the importance of promotional effectiveness and the strategic management of factors shaping consumer trust.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of live streaming, product quality, and word of mouth (WOM) on customer satisfaction, with brand image and purchase decision as mediating variables among Sattka hijab consumers on TikTok Shop. Live commerce has grown rapidly, yet prior research has reported inconsistent findings regarding its determinants of satisfaction and purchase decisions. Using a quantitative approach with 200 respondents and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS), this study reveals that product quality, brand image, and WOM have significant positive effects on purchase decisions, which in turn enhance customer satisfaction. Conversely, live streaming does not significantly influence brand image, highlighting that product quality and brand reputation are stronger predictors of consumer behavior than promotional intensity through live streaming. These findings underscore the importance of prioritizing product excellence and reputation management in shaping long-term consumer satisfaction and loyalty in live commerce settings.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of gender diversity and green accounting on corporate social responsibility (CSR), with financial performance examined as a mediating variable, in energy sector firms listed in the IDX-IC index during 2019–2023. The study is motivated by the relatively low level of CSR disclosure and the suboptimal implementation of gender diversity and environmental accounting in fostering sustainability. Samples were selected using purposive sampling, and the data were analyzed through path analysis with unbalanced panel regression, supported by the Sobel test to identify potential mediation effects. The findings indicate that gender diversity and green accounting have no significant impact on financial performance. Gender diversity shows a negative influence on CSR, whereas both green accounting and financial performance demonstrate a positive and significant effect on CSR. Furthermore, economic performance is found not to mediate the relationship between gender diversity, green accounting, and CSR.

Abstract

Lean management is a strategic framework designed to minimize waste and enhance efficiency across all aspects of production or service delivery within an organization. This study aims to analyze how the implementation of lean management can minimize waste in clinical pathology laboratory services at RSAU dr. Esnawan Antariksa. A mixed-method approach was employed, integrating qualitative and quantitative research within a descriptive analytical framework at RSAU dr. Esnawan Antariksa. The findings are presented in two sections: qualitative results, which include waste identification and Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and quantitative results derived from questionnaires indicating that six out of seven types of waste were identified in the clinical pathology laboratory—namely, defect, overproduction, transportation, waiting, inventory, motion, and overprocessing. The RCA revealed repeated sampling as a key underlying issue. Based on efficiency time analysis, waiting times at the registration desk and during laboratory result verification were associated with a low Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) of 47%. The study recommends adding registration desks and implementing a Laboratory Information System (LIS) to reduce delays in laboratory result processing. In conclusion, six out of seven types of waste were found in the clinical pathology laboratory at RSAU dr. Esnawan Antariksa. Through the calculation of weighted percentages to assess the impact of each waste type, the strongest relationship was found between overprocessing and overproduction wastes (19.80%). Overprocessing waste—particularly in repeated blood sampling—was identified as the primary concern. Therefore, regular training for analysts responsible for sample collection is recommended to reduce waste and improve laboratory efficiency.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of social media capability, promotional strategies, and product characteristics on customer interest and product-market fit. In today’s digital era, businesses face increasing pressure to utilize social media and effective marketing strategies while maintaining high product standards to meet customer expectations. A quantitative approach was employed using a structured questionnaire distributed to 200 respondents, with the data analyzed through SPSS version 25. Reliability and validity tests were conducted to ensure the robustness of the instrument. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to examine the relationship between the independent variables (social media capability, promotional strategies, and product characteristics) and the dependent variables (customer interest and product-market fit). The results revealed that all three independent variables had a significant and positive impact on customer interest and product-market fit. These findings suggest that businesses can enhance their market performance by strategically improving their digital presence, designing effective promotional campaigns, and offering products that align with customer preferences. The study provides valuable implications for marketers and product managers in developing integrated marketing and product strategies in highly competitive markets. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, lifestyle, locus of control, and parental income on student financial behavior. The problem raised is the low level of healthy financial behavior among students despite the increasing access to financial information. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. A sample of 120 undergraduate students from the Indonesian College of Economics in Malang was selected using proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that financial literacy, lifestyle, and locus of control had a significant effect on student financial behavior, while parental income had no significant effect. The coefficient of determination of 0.163 indicated that 16.3% of the variation in financial behavior was explained by the research variables. This study emphasizes the importance of internal factors over family economic factors. The practical implication is the need for financial literacy programs accompanied by lifestyle guidance and strengthening of students' self-control.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of green accounting and corporate social responsibility (CSR) disclosure on firm value, with profitability as a mediating variable. The research data were obtained from the annual reports of 35 energy sector companies listed on the IDX-IC index for the period 2019–2023, comprising a total of 175 observations. The data were analyzed using panel data regression and the Sobel test. The results showed that green accounting had no significant effect on profitability or firm value. CSR was found to have a significant effect on firm value but not on profitability. Profitability had a negative effect on firm value and was unable to mediate the effect of green accounting or CSR on firm value. This finding confirms that CSR implementation can improve market perception, but the internalization of green accounting and CSR has not been optimal in strengthening firm value. The implication of this research is the need for more integrated sustainability strategies for companies in the energy sector

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial literacy and government financial support on financial performance, with access to financing as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was used in this study, with Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis techniques processed using SmartPLS 4 software. The research population included micro-businesses in the agribusiness sector in Batu City, with a sample size of 383 agribusiness entrepreneurs residing in the region. The findings show that both access to financing and government financial support have a positive and significant effect on financial performance. Conversely, financial literacy does not have a significant direct impact on financial performance. However, access to financing was found to mediate the relationship between financial literacy and government financial support with financial performance. These results provide policy recommendations to improve the financial performance of micro businesses by increasing financial literacy and strengthening government financial support, by expanding access to sources of financing—thereby ultimately improving the welfare of micro entrepreneurs.
